Ok so first calculate BMR + Avg(daily activity) = 2770
Then Actual average daily intake cals 2650 - (.75 lbs gained X 3500(cals to burn 1 lb of fat)/7 days
= 2650 - 375 = 2275/2770 = a mark of 82 on the dw metabolic calculator... That just sucks... the calories to gain a lb is 3500 calories I did not have it figured that high. This means that to maintain my weight this week I would have had to average 2275 calories and I have a very high activity level... don't know if this is the right way to figure things out...
Your BMR + avg activity seems low based on the number of workouts and amount of walking you do. What are you using to calculate your BMR?
That is what he means when he says he is efficient metabolically.Your BMR + avg activity seems low based on the number of workouts and amount of walking you do. What are you using to calculate your BMR?
It's age the numbers are accurate.. my BMR is only 1922 then add in the activity...
Look what I found.

It's about time you started posting this morning!!!
That's a pretty intense update. Sounds like you're having some great results
Holy molely!! I had my doubts when I weighed myself last the other day and was up in weight but I did look bigger and a bit leaner. Right now I looked in the mirror and I am seeing striations and lower abdominal leanness that I did not even touch last year. I am seeing more vascularity than I have ever seen... I am seeing a marked increase in size. The wife commented on this as well...
Lean gains is a modern miracle and this is a fuggin awesome stack I am running!! My libido is supercharged, my aggression is very high (have to watch myself), I feel on, large and in charge... what a PCT this has been lol!!!
Awesome DW! Everything seems to be going your way. Good stuff! Lean gains has me sold on its abilities with fat loss, and I will be testing out its abilities for LBM gain while keeping BF the same when I drop another 3-4% (hopefully in 6 weeks or less)![]()
Excellent! More reading and learning! In reading the study I posted it mentioned that Glucagon was the stored version and the active metabolite was glucagon like peptides i "believe". I know there was definitely a reference.
However more importantly is that the reactions that I knew happened are the same but I should have been referring to the Glucagon Like Peptides? You don't have to answer that if major explanation is required, as I am sure you already have by providing these links that I will be reading hopefully at some point this weekend. However if that statement is correct then I feel I have a pretty decent grasp of the actions / reactions and it was as you said me using the wrong word. Either way the challenge stimulated a lot of learning and for that I thank you!
Well it's been quite a week, first I appear to gain some size and it seems that I am leaner, I get on the scales and am up .75 of a lb but about a lb leaner. Then over the weekend I appear to drop more fat and the lower part of my abdominals are showing more defintion than they have in years... Then yesterday I have my best workout in quite a while showing good power on all compound lifts. Yah I am only at about 90% but remember I am almost 40 lbs lighter...
Bench 240 X 5 X 3, 220 X 8, 190 X 12
Front squats 240 X 5 X 3, 220 X 8, 190 X 12
Tbars 210 X 5 X 3, 190 X 8, 165 X 12
Push Press 140 X 5 X 3, 120 X 8, 90 X 12
Wheel of death 6 and 2 reps my core was trashed but I want to start doing wod on day 1 and day 3 will be full ab training with bar of death...
Yah I am loving the recomp...
Awesome stuff Doug, I can't wait to see your After now / before prep pictures when you start that prep log. Dying for a peak of it now. Lower abs, striations these words are teases to the physique enthusiast. How many weeks we gotta wait to see them? C'Mon not even a polaroid before then?
Exactly. If in your original post you would have stated Glucagon Like Peptides(especially GLP-1) you would have been 100% correct.
I know this conversation has taken my knowledge of this subject even higher then that of my graduate level biochem class since the we didnt touch on the various derivates of pro-glucagon. Good stuf!!
Now this is my kind of lift! Squat...bench...Rows...AND push press now that is a full body routine i can grow to love!
You're not joking...im gonna mention this in my log when i update but the changes in phsyique are almost immediate(relatively)

I second this.... Pictures...pictures...pictures! Gotta apease your fans Doug!
Looking forward to watching your progress Doug, you are always dedicated and more frequent visual updates is welcome, really helps show what proper training and nutrition can do. What cycle do you have planned for your log?
Doing EPI-V/PCT Black run... very mild but will help maintain muscle while I cut. I won't have to lose a ton of weight either so I should be much more successful with all the time I have.
Nice, looking to get "Redefined?" :32:

Yep should be quite good, I will not take anything but ripped to shreds and I will do almost anything to get there. :12:

Isn't that the same active in Epi-V? Androsterone?onder:

No sir... very different products from one another! Invalid Link Removed
Yes, I agree that 1 Andro and Epi-V are very different, I wasn't trying to compare them. Sorry if I misconveyed that!
I was referring to AndroHard v2 vs. Epi-V. They are both Androsterone. I believe AndroHard V1 was Epiandrosterone (b-isomer), but they switched it in V2 since it was "stronger" in vida (even though people responded better to MMV2 which was the b-isomer). I guess Epi-V uses the a-isomer, which is stronger in vida?
So Epi-V is like the new version of Androhard ?
QUOTE]
Other than the delivery system PP is using, yes. A more apt comparison may be MMV3, since I believe LG switched as well from V2 to V3? What concerns me is MMV2 had very good results while MMV3 was lack-luster.
Regardless, Epi-V is a different company, etc. so you never know. I'd say the closest comparison would be something like AndroHard or Stanodrol, but Epi-V has other actives like 7-oxo.
So Epi-V is like the new version of Androhard ?
Yesterdays Diet
12pm 12 oz chickem breast
1 cup pasta salad
2 oranges
5pm 16 oz sirloin
1 cup Rice
2 cups brocolli
8pm 3 whole eggs scrambled
1 slice stone milled bread
Tomato slices
I am very hungry today and my fast breaking meal is just chicken and mixed greens might be tough...
This is the kind of diet/menu im shooting for on Lean Gains. Right on point DW. Showing us youngsters(namely myself) how to hit this diet up right.
My 2 favorite times of day:
1. Working out
2. Breaking Fast
I would be content in life right now with those 2 things! LG does seem to make you appreciate food a bit more, even just normal, old clean food like chicken and oats!
So Epi-V is like the new version of Androhard ?
I am not familiar enough with Androhard to comment on that, but all I know is how good EPI-V worked for me and can't wait to see your run with it, you are going to like your results Brotha, let me know if you have not received your products by Friday and I will get that Tracking # for you again, just don't lose it this time "OLD FUGGER!" LoL
Okay, I am LATE! I didnt realize Lean Gains was a nutrition/diet method, I expected a supp. I hadnt heard of Lean Gains so didnt care to follow along. Now I am intrigued after hearing you and Kleen discuss the fat loss in his log.
Definitely here to learn more about Lean Gains approach, I will have to skim the log for some info
Yeah, mine goes in cycles too but the leaning days are always a downward trend and the bigger days are always on an upward trend so it works out very well. I have also found some serious over eating occasionally on a high calorie day seems to help when trying to gain. I have to admit I am looking lean and mean today and yesterday was what I like to refer to as an Eat Day. I topped the evening off at about 3000 calories, last thing I ate was 8 oz fat free cottage cheese with splenda and cinnamon. MMMM MMMMM GOOD!
wow, must be frustrating at first until you realize how this works. To lose 5-6 lbs one week then gain a bit the following week would be difficult for some to follow through . . . but it seems patience is necessary
As long as you're looking good (i.e., using the mirror) you should be doing fine. I don't think Doug has been disappointed yet!
