So I dosed .5 grams PLCAR with my shake-breakfast at 6pm, and dosed 1 gram about 30 minutes preworkout.
5x5 today looked like this...
Flat BB bench- 140, 160, 180, 225, 245
Hack squats- 3 plates, 4 plates, 5 plates, 6, 8
Weighted pullups- Bodyweight, 15, 25, 35, 45
Ended it all with inclines, with a weight I could do 6 times, resting 20 seconds between each set, 6 reps the first set, then til failure every time til I hit 30 reps.
Notes:
I stayed with 245 as my last set because I missed a workout over the weekend. For one, I was very busy and two, my neck was pretty bad. Hoping the doc is available black friday (hey maybe I can get a bogo sale on painkillers lol). So I wasn't sure if my body was ready for another 5 pounds. I am confident in it now so I'm pretty sure I will add ten pounds next week.
Did hack machine versus bar squats to take the pressure off my neck in hopes to let it heal faster.
Pullups simply because I wanted to do them, was very excited to hit the weighted belt with these since I don't do it enough.
Using widest grip possible, I busted out 20 reps at bodyweight with good form for first set (yeah I probably should have done 5 for the sake of my split).
I did happen to take one scoop of Pump Fixx preworkout as well. I wouldn't have made it to the gym otherwise.
Being a stim junkie, one scoop of any pre isn't enough to give me any benefits besides a little energy boost, so I am confident my good attitude towards my workout today and my speedy recovery between sets was thanks to the PLCAR.
I think next time I will try 1.5 grams preworkout, and I am going to do this on a day I don't work a 12 hour night shift so I don't need any caffeine.
Bed time in a couple hours. May take another .5 grams in an hour to test my sleep theory.
