I work out alone and, early in the morning - so there's often no one in the gym but me.
Other day I walk over to the squat rack - and some doofus has left two 100 LBS plates on the bar - one on each end. Not the standard 45 pound plates mind you - these are the 100 pound plates meant for the leg press ...
So, I got my Ipod in my ear, curse the guy who left the plate ...
AND PULL THE HUNDRED POUND PLATE OFF ONE END.
Then I look away - and "faintly" - through the roar of KISS "I LOVE IT LOUD" screaming in my headphone - I hear something that sounds like a serious crash ...
And it was ... yeah - you can pull a 45 pound plate off a bar - and leave one on the other side and it won't cause the bar to tilt and fall - but you cannot do that with 100 pound plates.
That ****ing bar was catapulted across the room!
And the thing is ... since you can't UNLOAD 100 pound plates one at a time - you can't LOAD them that way either - which means it took two gym douchebags to load those plates on that bar - and then they left it there after their set.
Azholes.
