Guess what we have nothing to blame but ourselfs because we dont vote Libertarian , Libertarians are the only political party to say all drugs should be legal , I might add Libertarians are 3rd largest political Party go vote join them today and protect your Liberty. I might add they dont have to always win to help protect our Liberty just have enough members to scare the hell out of the regulators and do gooders that think they know whats good for you and have to force you to do things there way.

Thing that gets me is that on TV that kids of all ages see, are the ads from hi colest, to birth control drugs.
And they say flat out these drugs can cause heart probs, mood swings, sudden death ect.
But if a Doc can write it, and it can be taxed .... Well I guess that is just swell in the books.

Hey JP,

There's not much we can do, I understand and share your anger and frustration though. Money runs the world and those with money run the world.

This is just a tinyyyyyy part of the bigger picture which is extremely terrifying to me.

You would never see a single commercial in 99% of the rest of the world advertising medication. In places like Australia they have professional sportsmen doing ads to encourage children to eat fruit like Banana's, can't say I have ever seen many commercials like that here. The only thing I can think of is the one's with the NFL players encouraging kids to be active.

What parts of the world are you talking about, because the parts in which I have visited, there sure as hell are ads that flash about medicines, medications, medical treatments, etc...

There are ads with people talking about eating fruit, and eating healthy. I have no idea where you got this info from but it is slightly inaccurate. There are literally 30 commercials with basketball players talking about drinking healthy beverages (milk, water, pure fruit juices) and eating healthy.... really wondering where you're trying to come from on this one....

I really do not think that many people need a reason to go black market on many steroids or hormonal substances. It's like saying that the law promotes crack smoking because possession and distributing is illegal...

Honestly, I gave up.

I screamed and pleaded before, during and just after bush's 2 terms.

I was advising upon deaf hears and was labeled crazy and a conspiracist.

Even voting on the local and state level means nothing anymore.

I am just along for the ride,.................. until they come for my guns.

i thought we live in the United States... by diff all drugs should be legal..that would get rid of all the gangs,80% of ppl wouldnt be in jail. cops could focus on real crimes. murder,rape,theft,etc.. so many toxins in the food,air and water and this is what they are worried about..the gov must be in on the black market some how...

I'd say most supplements are already Gray market and yeah sometimes to obtain the more anabolic active ones you have to go Black market or outside the boarders. That being said what draws attention is these professional sports, Baseball mostly, which condemn the use of effective supplements because they categorize them as "steroids"

I think what triggers the FDA is when a pro athlete gets busted (A-Rod, Manny...ect....) then the FDA dogs go in to stir things up.

I also agree it is entirely driven by $$$. To obtain a pro contract is worth some serious coin and some may try to get an advantage using serious supplements.

We the casual user get caught up in all the commotion.

The good potential is that now new products will be engineered, but this process takes a long time, and eventually may later be determined to be FDA non-compliant. Its a vicious circle but no need to circle the wagons and start shooting ....yet !

It's unfortunate to ban something like ATD.

But supplements and vitamins are becoming more accepted now adays.

Just look at the enormous amount of people who (not bodybuilders) take fish oil.

For all intensive purposes, the presidents are essentially just front-men. There coat-tails change and some policy, but in the end, its two sides to the same coin.

Talk about expensive supplements....some of the dog supps are crazy.

Hehe... I absolutely LOVE my country and the work of the founding fathers that created it. I would just like them to spend my money a little more frugally.

I would also just like my government to remember that it's called "Uncle Sam" for a reason. That reason is because it's not my DAD. ;)

That really holds little water. If you will, humor me, and list the number of products that ARE LEGAL and list how they still have ties to corruption. Hell, freaking flat screen televisions are legal yet people make millions a year selling stolen goods of electronics...


The "make it legal and it kills the attractiveness to the black market argument" is seriously flawed. I've seen this argument for 20 years and it's still flawed.

I see what you are saying and it would seem to make sense, but when comparing it side by side with other legal outlets, it really fails to make any points valid.

I'd bet 10 years off of my life that if crack was legalized and bottled up, plus sold for 50$ a bottle, you'd have idiots stealing it (just like they steal EVERYTHING ELSE) and selling it under the table...it'd be a million dollar, under the table industry.

The evidence is our own society.

People steal, lie, and cheat, it's human nature. Like I stated, there are a ton of legal outlets out there that people exploit for millions of dollars each year. There are tons of legal products out there that people kill another person over each year...

Take for instance, ticket scalping, stolen cars, trafficking guns, dealing in stolen electronics, and, let's not forget, meats and goods (yes, people make hundreds of thousands off of selling stolen meats and alcohol, under the table), these product generate millions of dollars each year under the table. None of these products are illegal. It's illegal to handle them in inappropriate ways, i.e. selling tickets over the value, stealing cars and taking them to chop shops, selling guns without a license to sell/distribute, riding around in a truck with 2,000 bucks worth of stolen steaks trying to sell them off to unsuspecting individuals, the list goes on.

All that I am saying is that simply legalizing drugs will not lower any of the criminal activity which accompanies them. Idiots kill another person over a damn cell phone; how would legalizing drugs thwart crime?

If crack was legal, no it would not have extreme value on the black market. It would then be just another vice to promote criminal activity over another legal piece just like cigarettes, alcohol, guns, food, pampers, baby formula, electronics, etc)

That's just the way people are, it is that simple. I mean, just look, we argue about some damn ban of anything and there are people literally doing so much worse than some of us, yet we can not just say....it's good to be alive and doing well. NO, we have to cry about sh!t like this thread.

Just today, I spotted this 9 yr old girl when I went to therapy. This girl no longer can walk due to some type of disease which has taken use of her knees, so everything below just dangles...yet, she was pulling herself around on the floor, laughing, and having a good time with the other kids, adults, etc...i am like damn. If this little girl can have that taken away from her and still be in good spirits, then why the hell can't people that are more fortunate just be satisfied and quit b!tching...

i agree, but not "the gov" persay.

I have thought that idea before exactly but it really is a conspiracy theory, like the other dude said.

Of course there are PLENTY of crooked politicians, but not the whole gov.

Its way to complicated to pinpoint.

For shure the richest people in world, not on the Forbes list dont want drugs to be legalized, or anyone currently in the black market drug trade.

Drug billionaires would NOT want drugs to be legalized, all their business would dwindle a great deal. America is a huge market, especially cocaine.

However, ALOT of people dont think like me and you. I also believe in the absolute freedom of rights, as so you dont effect anyone else in doing so.

Of course there problems to legalizing meth,herion, ect.

But the debate,list of negatives and postives can a get a little long

overall, the positves of legalizing drugs outweigh the negatives BY FAR.

you left out salt. at some restaurants, the waitresses who refill salt shakers actually steal salt to resell. Theres a whole underground market for that. Not much $ in it, but when you are a $2.65/hr waitress (plus tips) an extra $10 a week sounds good.

Regardless of what, I am a big supporter of the fact that motivating our youth and educating them is way more beneficial than legalizing a street narcotic. Look how my prescription narcotics are legal yet it's a million dollar business, under the table.

You guys are kind of just throwing the towel in when you say that it is better to legalize drugs. It's the easy way out. I, at one point, worked as a youth counselor and I can tell you with certainty, all they need to steer clear is a positive environment, motivation, and a reason to educate themselves and seek a better life(it may not be the purest answer, but i'll take it 90% of the time). That will rid our problems more efficiently than legalizing street drugs. If there are no buyers, then how can it have a value?

No, the first thing anyone does when they are faced with a series of adversities is turn to drugs for a relief. Not everyone, but millions do. That's the part that we need to attack. But, do you know why? Because it is the hardest way. People go in for counseling and they get bullshh! answers and reasoning...i've seen it, first hand. I tried not to do that and was successful with many teenagers and young adults...it was extremely hard, but it was a better way; however, the beat goes on i guess...so have at it.
