That's what I hate about cooking. You spend hours slaving over a nice dish, and about 8 minutes eating the entire thing. It just seems so wasteful to me. I'm after the food for sustenance/growth. As much as I love good food, flavor and presentation is of little importance to me in comparison. I just need to feed the beast within!! :aargh:
 
I've never got into MMA, but I grew up with hockey like a good Canadian!

Meal looks good. Eating that many cals would be a pleasure lol. I'm still bulking up, but it really doesn't take too much for me, I've noticed a bit of fat gain if I don't do my HIIT so I'm in the right range.
 
i can finally appreciate this thread shaddow with all your food. i went from 2200 kcals, to about 3300 kcals, and TONS of carbs haha. and i tried the whey in the oatmeal for the first time today after seeing you do it so much. it was delightful. kudos for jamming that image in my head.

still an intense log man. love it. between you, volcom, and thundergod, i can always find some motivation for an insane workout.

i just bought chocolate for now. i ran out of cinnamon bun so i made an emergency run to VS. the cinnabun is bomb in oatmeal. its actually tasty with anything, even water. ima try the chocolate tmrw.

I've never been a fan of any brand's chocolate flavor. Some taste better than others obviously, but I just think they have a fake chocolate taste. I don't like strawberry flavored whey either. I've been meaning to try cinnabun though. It sounds delicious. And with oatmeal too. YUM!! I just use ON vanilla. It goes well with everything. And it blends in well when I make protein peanut butter balls and the protein bars that I make. I eat them all the time!! :food:
 
Over 6 today!! :) It's cool, but definitely not all muscle. I'm noticing a little bit of fat around the lower abs, and a little less definition in my lower back.

Keep making those gains. You'll melt off all unwanted flesh at the end of all this, keep it up.

I am soooooo freaking sore. Like, I mean SOOOOORE. It's a different kind of sore though. It's not the deep muscle soreness you get when you burn out your muscles with a bunch of reps. It's the heavy weights kind of sore where the bones in your back feel like they've been stretched wider and further apart, and repositioned to make not just your muscles grow, but your frame grow. Do you know what I'm saying? Does that make sense? While the muscles themselves ARE quite sore, my back just feels stretched out and my bones ache. I feel like I got hit by a bus. :stick:

Today is an off day, and I'm definitely going to take it easy. Very easy. I had to move 6 huge metal file cabinets 2 floors at work this morning, but I'm not doing **** the rest of the day! :aargh::aargh: :lol:

I work in facilities management, and I'm basically "the muscles" at my company. We just bought a new headquarters a few months ago, so we're still positioning things around, and I'm always the one who gets to move the heavy **** around. Yay, fun! :lol:

Limp's gone! My left (injured) leg tires more easily than my right one, but that's to be expected. I will definitely begin incorporating a full leg day next week, just gotta take some time and figure out a new routine. :)

I'm used to it too cuz I think I've been that guy at every job I've worked too. But I really don't mind it. "Can I borrow your muscles?" I get that a lot at work. :lol: I kinda take it as a compliment. :p

I get really sad talking about Sean Taylor... Someone at work the other day was bad mouthing him - saying he was a thug and stuff..

Guy turned his life around, was handling his family, and he got murdered by some kids breaking into his house...

Such a talented individual. May have turned into one of the top 5 free safeties in the history of the game... Darrent Williams was similar for a DB. Lost two potential all time greats to senseless gun violence.

i got a sample of ATW cup cake with my last order. i wasnt really impressed. i mean it was, like you said, decent. but with all the hype i read on here, i was expecting some orgasmic flavor.

cinnamon bun tho, fully backed.

i still think muscle milk has the best tasting protein hands down. syntha 6 is right behind it. i just wish they werent so damn expensive!:frustrate

Yeah expensive, and unfortunately - Muscle Milk isn't all that protein dense.. It fattens some guys up on this board, but I tend to respond to it really well. Syntha 6 I was OK with.

I didn't try Cinnamon Bun yet. Would certainly like to... But ever since cupcake didn't live up to (albeit inflated) expectations - I'm not sure I want to invest in a 5 pound jug when I can get something I know I'll dig.

buy the isolate variety pack. comes with chocolate, vanilla, and cinnabun. thats what i did. then i was sold on cinnabun. i think its definitely worth it man.

ive already bought 2 5lb jugs of the cinnabun and it kills me that i didnt have the dough to buy another, resulting in my buying some ON because it was local. sh*t is soooo good. especially in the oats.

Alright, next time I re-up I'll take your advice. I have 15 pounds at the apartment already, plus 6 pounds of casein, 4 tubs of Muscle Milk, and 6 pounds of cytogainer.

If I get any more protein, I'm going to have to get a smaller bed.

Dude, Bo Jackson was AMAZING. I grew up watching him. One of, if not THE best all around athletes EVER, and IMHO, one of the two best players to ever touch a football. I would say Barry Sanders is the other.

Absolute NFL junkie. You hit the nail on the head. Best two RB's or all time are Bo Jackson and Barry Sanders. Bo was the only NFL player who could literally take over a game by himself. Unbelievable.

Best I've found is ON Chocolate Mint. Regardless of flavor, if you sub Hood Lo Carb Choc Milk, any protein will taste great. Good masking agent!

Forgetting money for a second. The best protein I have EVER had is Labrada's Soft Vanilla Ice Cream Ready to Drinks. They literally taste like melted vanilla ice cream. I always take them with me to work in a cooler. Not cheap but taste is ridiculous.

Bad mouthing him here in DC is basically asking to get your ass kicked.

Dude, I cried when I heard he died. Seriously. He was my hero. He was an animal on the field, and I just felt like I could really relate to him. I think he easily would've blossomed into one of the best safeties to ever play the game. Things were just beginning to click for him. He was leading the NFL in picks even though he missed 2 games, and he was the most feared, hardest hitter in the NFL.

Actually, on Wednesday I was looking on youtube for some sort of motivation before hitting the weights, and I clicked on this Sean Taylor tribute video thinking it would be a highlight reel, but instead they talked about his life and death. Next thing I know I'm all choked up. It still gets to me, man. Just a ****ed up way for someone with so much raw talent to go. R.I.P. Sean. :sad:
