Speedbacker said:Don't mean to keep badgering you guys with questions, but what do you think about taking AP before a postworkout shake containing waxy maize starch?
Joint Fracture said:Speed,
I've asked this question before as well. -Dead silence, no respone, perhaps because the effects aren't well known (yet). So consequently, I had to experiment myself.
WM is a complex carb, but it absorbes about twice as fast as dextrose without the insulin spike.
So my guess is go ahead and take the AP 15 minutes before your large WM & CEE mix (or whatever custom blend you like)
and then follow up with your after training meal as usual.
The body is supposedly reacting to a complex carb despite it's speed of absorption.
I've been doing this with no ill effects (that I know of!) or increased hypo feeling.
If someone learns more about WM and AP, hopefully they will chime in also.

i'm too am not a sugar fan and would like to read more on your views regarding why not to taking it post work out when most advise consuming 50-100g simple sugars with protein post w/o for the insulin and recovery benifits.

USPLabs said:I doudt that WMS does not cause an insulin spike. Where did you read that?
So what’s so special with Waxy Maize in comparison to dextrose or maltodextrin? Many people have used a mix of dextrose and maltodextrin for post workout nutrition for years because it works and is vital for proper glycogen replenishment. Welcome to the new era of post workout nutrition… Waxy Maize Starch. WMS has a much higher molecular weight and a much lower osmolarity rate compared to dextrose or maltodextrin, so what does this mean… Mainly, WMS bypasses the stomach, is absorbed by the intestines and immediately is assimilated; this is all done at a much faster rate than dextrose or maltodextrin, almost double.
Joint Fracture said:Hmm, I may have jumbled the insulin response with the osmolality rate.
I retract my previous statement.

Big BAMA said:Two quick questions.
1) phellodendron- has long been used by the Chinese to treat uclers and Diabetes. Controlling the sugar in the blood.
Langerstroemia Speciosa- to be more specific Banaba- is used to control the handling of glucose and lower blood sugar.
With using both of these blood sugar "reducers" how do you explain the insulin spike this is suppose to give?
2) If taken when eating like the label says, Why do you want to reduce the blood sugar if you want the increase of insulin?
ChiTown72 said:So how will this work comapred to the Cissus/Powerfull stack?
CHAPS said:It will work differently and would stack favourably with cissus and PowerFull. As far as gains well that's completely an individual thing, i will say this it's hands down the best USP product to date.
1) Yes, you'll get the most out of Anabolic-Pump by taking it post-workout.BDW said:But my question is as follows: would the greatest response to Anabolic Pump be realized if taken IMMEDIATELY after working out, if you take it just prior to your post workout meal?
I've read research which suggests that, since the post-workout anabolic window lasts for about thirty to forty minutes after working out, it is best to ingest as much as 25% to 30% of your daily calorie (and nutrient / supplement) intake within thirty minutes of completing your workout. Would taking Anabolic Pump just before this meal create sort of a multiplier effect for nutrient uptake and insulin potentiation?
Another question: Since Anabolic Pump affects muscle cells, and since a lower bodyfat content increases your metabolic rate, is it accurate to say that Anabolic Pump also offers an added benefit of increasing a person's metabolic rate over time?
A final question: since Anabolic Pump stimulates lipolysis, should we use it in conjunction with other lipolytic agents or supplements? Likewise, with respect to muscle cells, should we expect better results if we stack Anabolic pump with other agents specifically for muscle cells, like protein, glutamine, and creatine?
That's all - hope that helps.
Yessir, and I am enjoying my AP as we speak :woohoo:
I would really like to try some before I buy it.I mean 50 bucks is alot to me.It looks killer but idk.If it is as good as it sounds than I would buy more product, hard to spend money you don't have when it could be spent on something you know that works.I am not demeaning this product,I have no clue about it,I am just skepticle with my hard earned doe,I mean look at everyone buying M1-d
I know this is a little old. But how did you know the other supplements would work before you bought them? Does every Supplement company give you free Supplements for you to try? I know the first time I bought tuna, I had no idea if I would like it, and no one would give me a free can. I mean, come on, your logic holds no pump. Give me a free bottle, and maybe I'll buy more? :duel:
A lot of supp companies (at least the board sponsors) give trusted members some free product before it is released to the public. In turn those members run a log of the effects they see. This way others can see what their piers get out of something rather then reading some write up that is just made up by the company. Obviously this doesn't tell you what a supplement will do for you personally but the company can get an idea if the product actually works and the readers can get a feel for the product before it is released and actually see the testing and results.
I understand that completely, but when someone starts in by saying I might buy some if you give it to me first, it makes them look like a child wanting a cookie before dinner.
Sweet then mine must be on its way soon.
I filled it out and haven't heard anything since.
