Exactly. I love how me don't put the burden of running a log on anyone we try to hook up with our goods. :)

Ok so I'm getting just slightly burnt out on sunrise. Been waiting on RL to come in to rotate the two as it was amazing switching back and forth. What flavors did everyone stock up on for black friday?

Alphaholics. We will be having a new promo dropping by Saturday so keep checking in for it. Going to be a fun and creative style format. ?

My alphaholism is about to resurface!! Managed to bag myself some OG appletini :) excited to try this as I've only tried RL and one of the other flavours which tasted nasty (but don't remember which one!)

For anyone in the UK after OG drop me a message and I can share the store - they have a few in stock.

Still have a little of OG Alphamine and haven't tried the new one yet. It is in my future plans.
After deciding I would never buy Alphamine again after the formula change...I am currently on my second tub of the new version. I have mostly used it as part of my morning wake up routine...as with the old formula. Hate to sound like a broken record but it really is a considerable downgrade for me. The only positive thing I can appreciate in the new formula is the l-theanine with its slight calming effect. Also, just the placebo affect that the product looks and tastes the same kind of helps. I still don't understand why l-leucine is the first ingredient which even still makes it a completely ineffective dose. At the very least, they need to take out the l-leucine, bring choline bitartrate back as the highest dosed ingredient and then add in some theacrine. This would still make it a bit milder than the original which apparently was the goal?

We all sound like a broken record. Everyone knows it's a downgrade man

I know...I even hated saying it again...haha!

The troubling thing is that they don't seem to care about the opinions of the loyal consumers that bought this product for so many years and supported them. Not cool..

:woohoo: my OG appletini just arrived...so naturally I cracked it open straight away!! How did I not try this when released, its flippin' fantastic!! One scoop in approx 6-8oz of iced water hits the stop for flavour IMO!!

Yeah...they always have and still do have great flavors!

Oh man nice score. That flavor is on point and always did taste even better with the iced water.
Yeah...they always have and still do have great flavors!
Josh is a master at flavoring. Been that way since we joined the flavored product game.

So many of them are better chilled. Seriously

Bring it back!
As much as I hate to go on about this, it is simply something I just don't understand. Apparently they wanted to take out the Yohimbe extract in fear that it will soon be banned...at least I think that is what I read. Fine, take it out, no biggie. However, maybe put some thought behind the new formula and make something that is possibly even better! Come up with a new ingredient that will wow everyone like OL and BLR do on a regular basis. I know supplements come and go but this was the biggest thermogenic powder of all time with a huge following. Big time slap in the face to to all of us that loved it...

The problem was having multiple skus for different countries. PES wanted to have the ability to ship globally, without having multiple formulas per product. As much as we all loved Alphamine (myself included from day 1) they needed to align themselves to continue to grow the brand. I'm sure AM was just a tiny tiny slice of their sales. If you walk into Walmart one day and see Alphamine or Select sitting on a shelf, you will know the final goal was achieved.

We may hate the change, but if they are adding jobs back into the community and continuing to grow, then hats off to PES.

Right, that is why they could have removed the Yohimbe and done something possibly "innovative" that was globally accepted. It really would not be that hard. The current formula looks like it was created without any thought whatsoever.

To further the "no thought" point, they kept the same name, which makes no sense.

Alphamine= Alpha Yohimbe.

Instead they just roll out a cheap flavored caffeine formula with some other ingredients that are under dosed.

I recognize what they say they were trying to do, but more thought and innovation could have achieved that. And likely not turned off so many fans.

My point exactly..

All that says to me is we want profits.

Please then. dont diss a company who then makes the old formula everyone actually wants. Let us 'niche', none profit makers, have our REAL Alphamine and you carry on selling your caffeine powder to the masses.

And thats fine, all happy, all agreed, every decision is made for a reason.

Not going to broken record here.

Alphamine is not a fat-burner anymore guys. And yes, making it available globally was a priority, and the reason behind a few changes.

Many valid good points discussed. I personally hate to see people are still pretty upset over this. We knew this may not be the most popular move but I do believe people forget we are offering alphamine now as what most used it for prior. A good cheaper alternative to those energy drinks people pick up every day at the gas station or gym. As mentioned before I'm still using it has I always did and am glad it wasn't just discontinued. The refreshing flavor, energy boost and sense of well being I always got from alphamine is why I'm still a proud alphaholic. Just my personal feeling.

Making changes to make it available globally is fine. The fact that this still could have been accomplished with a more well thought out ingredient profile is the problem. Bottom line, PES has already lost at least one customer which would be myself. AM members do indeed represent a minimal percentage of people that bought the product, but that does not mean that the masses of people that bought the product over the years are thrilled about the current formula either. There are people who exist in this world without being an AM member that are quite knowledgeable about the products they purchase. If another goal was to see Alphamine show up on the shelves of Walmart someday as another poster suggested; I would see that as the ultimate insult to the PES brand. Who goes to Walmart to purchase anything that is of high quality? Sorry, I will not mention anything more about it and I hope PES finds that they accomplish their goals of achieving further profit over producing a solid product.

We should focus blame on the idiots who over abuse stimulants and get them banned in the first place.

Or the shady companies that hide methamphetamines in their products. Those are the ones who ruin innovation.

If changing alphamine from a fat burner to a energy supplement has kept anyone from purchasing select protein then I must say said person is missing out! :)

Stop living in a fantasy world Ricky10. You keep talking about innovating or a "coming up" with a "new ingredient" like it's magic. Please tell us all what ingredients they should have used? A compliant & innovative ingredient that can replace Y, which also matches its fat-burning properties, doesn't exist, otherwise it would be in the product already.

You have every right to complain about Alphamine, but do so without talking garbage about "hey, just find something better!". You need to understand that there are a small list of globally compliant ingredients and that's it. The rest are, of course, non-compliant. That's reality.

That must be it. I am living in a fantasy...haha! I admit that I do not know specifically what ingredients or extracts are globally accepted. If you can send me such a list, I would be glad to tell you and PES exactly what should have been in the new formula. I really don't care so much about the Yohimbe extract (though PES had the best one ever). The biggest problem with the current version is that l-leucine is the first ingredient in the propietary blend. The only purpose that serves in the formula is that of a cheap filler. LCLT at this dosage also seves zero purpose so that is yet another filler. At the end of the day, I hope the soccer moms of Afghanistan enjoy their new Alphamine and that PES will see this as a victory.

Maybe do a final batch of the OG Alphamine for all the followers out there? Collect some important money and with that invest to develop a new formula?

For a final batch of OG Alphamine!!!

Used to be Team FP but I'm now 1 scoop Tropical Twist E9 with 1 scoop [ or a little more :) ] of Sunrise Alphamine and that's my morning staple. It's been like that ever since they rolled out the new Alphamine - I bought a few of the new flavors during the first Insider sale.

I will say that I do miss the raise in body temp (or at least that sensation) from the OG Alphamine so I think I'm ready to start adding some Y to the mix to see how that compares.

Agree with the sentiments above, if the new formula of Alphamine stops anybody from buying Select or E9, they are missing out!

I buy Ergonine and would certainly buy Select on a regular basis if it were more affordable. They just lost me as a customer as far as Alphamine is concerned.

Can't understand how that point was misunderstood.

PES is still a solid company. Their move with Alphamine was a mistake in my opinion

Me neither...haha! Not even sure it was directed at me but thought I would clear up my perspective anyway..

Not anymore, not without putting yourself at risk for lawsuits should an ingredient ever get flagged

Plus the idea is to produce products with proven ingredients. Those wanting results vastly outnumber those just looking to experiment.

I love experimenting, but I'd prefer do that with the ingredients solo anyways and not in the middle of a multi-ingredient product with a heftier price tag

That said PEScience is always actively looking for new, novel approaches. We won't release it until it's proven.

I'm not going to make this a back and forth, but the reason I chimed is not because Ricky10 isn't happy with Alphamine. He has the right to be, as a PES customer, critical of whatever he wants.

What I wanted to challenge was his ridiculous notion that PES can make something globally compliant that is innovative and effective in the same way OG Alphamine was. They obviously would do that if they could, but it's not that simple/easy.

You have hit the nail on the head.

Many hardcore fans have said "why didn't you use this ingredient?" or "you should do what X/Y/Z company are doing".

In a large chunk of these instances, ingredient suggestions have been things that are not compliant (and the person clearly doesn't understand regulations by suggesting it) and company comparisons have been against smaller companies who currently have products which are not compliant. We had so many reasons to reformulate the product yet most people on here are completely unaware of the majority of them.

As we grow, our customer base grows.

As we grow, we attract more potential for lawsuits.

We are in the largest brick and mortar chains in America as well as sold on the largest online store in America. We are distributed in Europe, Canada and Australasia. We have to play by different rules than small companies who have non compliant ingredients and fly under the radar.

Some people may be upset and certain product changes and that is absolutely their right. When a company has a huge number of customers it is impossible to please them all.

Every single person who has voices their complaints to me in person ended up agreeing that the changes we made make total sense when I explained them all in detail.

When it comes to compliance and legalities it is difficult to discuss everything with total transparency on the forum (especially when people ask why we don't do the same as other companies who currently sell products we would never sell for a multitude of reasons) so people may assume that we made the change based solely on yohimbe but that is incorrect.

If any of you meet me at an expo, come and chat to me about it in detail and I will be happy to answer all questions in full.

In the interim, new Alphamine is selling better than ever. If you want to use it as an energy drink that has a very low cost per serving (84 servings per tub) you will be very pleased. :)

Having recently bagged myself a tub of the European OG Alphamine I got round to trying a sample of the new formula which I received with my purchase! I must admit I LIKED IT!!! Flavour (sunrise) is on point, enough kick without giving jitters - nice and steady! No GI distress which I did get with the OG. I honestly didn't think I'd try the new formula due to it not being touted as a fat burner anymore! That being said, if you used Alphamine as a pre like I did/do, then the new A is just as good...maybe even better!!! bdcc if you have any other flavours to sample let me know

It is funny that you say this, I will explain why. :)

We all know how much preconceived beliefs can influence the perception of a product. For example the old European version of Alphamine had no yohimbe but we increased the doses of other ingredients to make them as comparable as possible. One UK customer complained about the lack of yohimbe (nothing we can do, we won't break the law) and when I asked if they would be able to tell the difference between the US and EU ones if they were blindfolded they said no. They just knew the EU one didn't have yohimbe so said it didn't feel the same despite admitting they couldn't actually tell the difference in feel.

When we first started testing the newer version of Alphamine we wanted to mimic the reason people bought the old one, a smooth feel good energy. I tested a version with caffeine and theanine expecting it to feel much weaker in terms of energy but I messaged the owner of the company saying that I was genuinely surprised how potent it felt.

This is why I don't miss yohimbe. It is a pain in the arse because it is only compliant in some countries and some people react terribly to it which isn't an attractive proposition when your customer base is as large as ours is now. The removal of HICA also allowed us to keep the pricing the same because the cost of it was going through the roof (many customers compare product costs and assume we are trying to improve profit margins but fail to take into consideration that if we carried on making the previous version their cost would have increased significantly, something that would have made buying it much less attractive as a proposition).

I am much happier having a product that feels similar, nobody reacts as badly to it as they can do with yohimbe and we can sell it pretty much globally. If someone desperately wants to use yohimbe then they have the choice of adding it themselves. The taste improvements also make a nice bonus. :)

Please don't take this as a further attack on the current product...I am just curious,

Since PES saved so much money taking out just about all of the key players from the original formula, why didn't they at least use those savings to upgrade the choline bitartrate to CDP choline, possibly add in the Kola Nut extract that is in Norcodrene and definitely get rid of the l-leucine in favor of some l-tyrosine? I suspect this would still be globally compliant while making it look more attractive to all the fans... and I would venture to say more effective. The fact that the former version contained Yohimbe extract was not the reason I bought the product and I usually specifically buy products without Yohimbe, so I really don't care about that. I took it for the clean long lasting energy which is not obtained to a comparable level at all with the current version for me. Of course I realize the first in its class Yohimbe extract used in OG Alphamine played a part in that, but I feel as though a few tweaks here and there could make the difference.

This.

Also, if not that- why not change the name and the product description as a thermogenic?

Again, Alphamine= Alpha Yohimbe. The new version contains no Yohimbe. And it's about as much as a fat burner as Diet Pepsi.

I think people can respect that a product eventually needs to be designed to suit a larger customer base. And good things (the OG Alphamine) don't last forever.

I'm speculating, but I think that's where a lot of the frustration comes from.

Just making conversation.

Such much info in this post that really has been overlooked by the majority of people still taking stabs over alphamine.

Like mentioned in the closing I'm still using it as I always have and intended and getting my money worth for sure. Blowing 4+ dollars a day on monsters and other expensive drinks just doesn't make sense when compared. Oh not to mention how superior the flavor is!

I'm still spending money on Redbull, Kickstart, Monster etc.

It might be fine to throw in the towel and give it a try.
