1 hour 15 min running session Invalid Link Removed Last time I "ran" for more then an hour straight, I weighed 175lbs (that was many moons ago). Good job DF, I used to love those long sessions with me and my mp3 player. Keep up the hard work!

8 hour mountain bike race..... that's got to produce an insane amount of a sense of accomplishment once you're done. Me personally, I would get an endorphins rush just by counting the kcals I would have burned in 8hrs of high level activity (I'm kind of weird like that).

Ha. That is a little weird.

I used to do lots of trail riding when I lived in Chicago. I'd take trips to Michigan and ride out there at some national parks. That was fun. I'm sure it's nothing like Australia, though.

I went running in the mountains once and got lost after I was done and exhausted. We have a lot of mountain lions and mountain lion attacks in So Cal, so I walked around lost and dehydrated with a rock in my hand, ready to get David and Goliath on a mountain lion. Clearly I found my way out of there, but it did suck. I sort of lost the moral of my story.

I did used to have long hair back in Jr. High. We were called "Heshers" then. I was in Jr. High during the Nirvana Grunge/Hippie Revival movement. Long hair, Doc Martins, Flannels and Bomber jackets were all the rage.
 
Ahhhh yes!

I wore a flannel the other day. Haha. People at school were asking me where my ax was, and where I hid all the timber. I look like a total lumberjack in flannel...especially when I have my beard.

That is the beauty of these races, you are LITERALLY melting the fat off on hourly basis, at the end you accomplish a cut that would otherwise take months, and what is even better, you still need to eat yourself to death if you want to preserve your muscles Invalid Link Removed…post-workout carb gluttony at its utmost :lol:

DAY 89


* Severe chest DOMS from DAY 88 :eek: (which was my first SERIOUS chest hyperthrophy workout)

* The flooding rain lasted only so long…it ruined my gym workout plans so I went for a run, YET AGAIN ! Well it was meant to be a leg’s day anyways :p . 1hr20min, could have gone AT LEAST 10 min longer, endurance was awesome, looks like my body is loving the transition from being trashed with deads+squats to being trashed with 1hr ++ running sessions :fool2: Got to pull my breaks though or I’ll be soon running a marathon :lol:


DAY 90

* Chest DOMS persists :confused: :eek: :eek: ,never had that for two days in a row ! Yay !!! Invalid Link Removed I was glad my anger-distorted face helped keeping those guys away from the bar ;)

* The gym had dried out so I had no excuse to rest (as if I ever do :p).

LEGS&BIS

* So, I kept my word, 2nd BI session for the week :D
Upped the unilateral cable curl by 4lb ! Looks like the bis are responding well to this increased training frequency :woohoo:

* Legs were actually feeling pretty trashed from all the week’s running so all it took to reduce me to the state of limping out of the gym was:

1. Leg Curls 5 sets
2. Squats 8 sets
3. Leg Extensions 5 sets
:lol:

* Reps were 12-15, on my heaviest set of squats I noticed, looking in the mirror, that a guy behind me who was spotting someone’s bench set, had been looking at me kind of like Invalid Link Removed. Then, his mate started gasping: Help, HEEELP !!! Invalid Link Removed, but the guy was still looking at me as if he had never seen a chick squat before Invalid Link Removed
I though to myself, should I stop before I cause a bench mishap ?!!! :confused: :rofl:
 
It is a rare site indeed seeing a woman doing ATG barbell squats. I remember I had the same confused look on my face the first time I saw a girl wrapping her straps around a bar and cranking out deads. It's more confusement mixed with joy.

Those are some great pictures, btw! I definitely wouldn't mind spending some time there.

It is a rare site seeing men doing ATG squats and deads in my gym. I get so over-joyed when that happens that I go and talk to these individuals. Then they think I'm Invalid Link Removed and that's when I get in trouble :lol:

Those are some great pictures, btw! I definitely wouldn't mind spending some time there.

Honestly, if they're like most guys, that will just turn them on more. Hahah.

They will start asking questions like, "Have you considered switching teams." or "Would you like to add a back-up batter?" - Odd, I know.

Why it always relates to baseball, I'm not sure. I've been pushing Croquet, but the lobby is small.

Great vascularity in your forearms as well! I wish I had veins wrapping around my arms like that.

If I had to choose between being in the water with an alligator or being in the ocean with a great white, I think I would choose swallow the suicide pill.

That's a CROC, my friend! 'Gators are NOTHING compared to crocs. I wakeboard with 'gators and it doesn't bother me much. They are scared of boats and don't really come near us, but I can still see their red eyes just above the water as the sun goes down.

...I wouldn't EVER wakeboard where there were crocs. Those things are so much more aggressive.

I've never been in water where there were great whites, but we do have quite a few bull sharks around here. Those aren't very friendly, either.

I’m at the end of week 3 of my hyperthrophy routine and so far everything has been just SWEET ! :D

I’m noticing major improvements in ALL AREAS:
The increase in weight at which I can perform 12 reps has been the following:

* Deads 22lb
* Squats 22lb
* Pulldowns 11lb
* Bench 11lb
* Military 11lb
* Bis-unilateral cable 17.6lb (massive !!!! :woohoo:)
* Tri pulldowns 11lb


DAY 96 – PRIME OFFICIAL START :head:


* Set high baseline standards without intention…sounds familiar Volcom ?

* I literally forced my self to go lifting out of pure sense of “dutyInvalid Link Removed
It was Friday and I haven’t touched a weight since Monday (what is WRONG with me Invalid Link Removed)

* Because of this unusually long break I decided to do kind of a whole body workout:
Didn’t really do all that much, I basically killed myself with three exercises:

1. Cable crunches (5 sets)

*141lb 12
*161lb 10/10 dropset to
...150lb 5/5
*150lb 12/12​


2. Deads (11 sets)

*100lb 12
*132lb 12
*143lb 12

Only a week ago I was barely getting 12 reps at 143lb !!!! Invalid Link Removed


3. Bench (6 sets)

The week before, at 88lb I was failing at rep 10 ! Invalid Link Removed

* Yeah I know it is not a lot when it comes down to the shear volume, however, last couple of weeks have been absolutely horrific weather wise. Temperatures have been in the high 30ies C range and humidity up to 70-80% Invalid Link Removed
The aircons in the gym are not coping really well and neither am I Invalid Link Removed
Sometimes it feels like working out in a sauna !!!
In between dead-sets I take up to three minutes to rest (minimum!!!), just to cool down and there are days when a couple of sets of bicep curls drains you out as much as a 1hr hardcore cardio session ! Invalid Link Removed
