Both of those would be a competition PR right?
I’ve done 391 in comp. So 380 would just help make a decent total and let me gauge how much power I have left.

Oh got ya. I knew it was getting close to 400 but forgot exactly how much. Well here's to hoping for that 402!!!I’ve done 391 in comp. So 380 would just help make a decent total and let me gauge how much power I have left.
I hope she stays with it! She has a lot of potential. She squat 143, benched 77, & pulled 187lbs when she was 12 years old at 114lbs (she’s currently 119lbs).
When I brought it down initially I thought I had pulled it too far to the left & screwed myself, so I panicked & flared my elbows right off the chest instead of keeping them tucked. This left me with no leverage to drive through to lockout when my chest drive finally ran out:
knowing you, I have zero doubt you'll get it if it sounds like it was just a form/technical issue. You aren't going to take another shot at 400+ before comp at this point are you?
You got 402lbs at the meet. Knowing were your form broke a little and why you missed it will be correctable at the meet.
It did not for me. They take the bar so quickly if any reverse in direction, so the struggle doesn't last too long, and doesn't wear the back out, or did not for me on my failed attempt. I was strong as a bull for my pulls.Does over-reaching on bench cook you for deadlift?

That’s probably a smart move not maxing out anymore on bench before the competition. Your in a good place, knowing you can hit 380 then go for 402….you’ve got this. Knowing what went wrong on your miss is half the battle. Having to correct technique is way better than just not having the strength. It still looks like you will beat your best on all your lifts and total, and that 402 bench is icing on the cake. No, I don’t think so. I need to max out on Squat Friday morning, so that’s going to use up all the rest of my recovery for this week, and I don’t think maxing out less than 2 weeks from the comp would be productive.
I know where I’m at. I know I should not attempt 408 at the meet, and 380 was easy.
Yeah I feel good about it. I still have a few bench sessions to polish technique up.
Wow, now that’s a heavy leg day…..A 622 squat after a 606, something tells me this is going to be a good meet, especially if you hit, no, when you hit 644…..Beastmode9/22/23

Biggest squat of my life; today was a great day. 622 was faster & easier than 606, too. It was not the limit, not at all. Should have taken at least 633, but we were already well past the goal & this was the first time I’ve ever done 600+ twice in one day. This sets me up to take 644 for a 3rd attempt.
Woke up yesterday hacking yellow mucus and it was even worse today, so to be so strong even while sick bodes well for the meet.

Hefty skwaats man! Really ain’t nothin but a peanut anymore lol
Hopefully all the blowing of snot means you are starting to clear up.
I wish that were true for me. I’ve been spitting up funk for a month with no end in sight.
Yeah after a couple weeks, it’s time to pull the antibiotics card for me. Unless you had a virus confirmed by physician of course. My stepdaughter already tested negative for COVID here.
I’ve got a Zpack I’m sitting on I’ll drop next week if there’s been no change with all the yellow, but I won’t do that lightly - I’ll be on orals again that week heading into the meet, so antibiotics with those is asking for gut destruction.
May have asked this before, but what's the difference between the Texas vs Ohio bar?

Opener moved like it should, then did a couple heavier doubles in the old red slanger there to practice taking 3 total attempts but get twice the lockout volume work as singles. Friday I’ll squat ~80%, then I’ll bench my last warmup, ~313, this Sunday at one week out.

What is the cap on weight for this one ? are you able to walk into this one with more food in you this time vs the mass drop last time?
but I am competing for my total.
It is crazy how fast time has gone by. Seems like you just started cycling for this meet. I know it has been going for a while but it is all here so fast.

Meet came up quick. Just trying to compare notes at about how many weeks/ days do you take your last heavy lift for each? Usually I do deads at 17 days, squat 10 days and bench around 7 days. Your weights are a lot heavier obviously than mine so imagine you need a little more recovery time.
Wow, great to see this level of detail laid out. Really makes me appreciate the intricacies of the sport. Do you actually do zero work the week leading into the meet, or does that just mean accessory work or too light to really "count"?It will be a 20-week blast by the end - 5 months of preparation.
Days Out - Intensity/Lift
28 - 100% deadlift
26 - 75% bench
24 - 90% squat
21 - 80% deadlift
19 - 100% bench
16 - 100% squat, 88% deadlift
12 - 90% bench
9 - 80% squat, 66% deadlift
7 - 80% bench
0 - Meet
Note that your days are extremely similar to mine as far as the days the last “heavy” lift is done, but mine are only 80-90% on these days. My maxes for testing & setting the peak are established much sooner.
Peaking is about acclimating the CNS, ramping it up and then shedding fatigue while specific skill is still high. You can just ramp right into a meet in a linear fashion, but generally you will be stronger if you take near maximal lifts in training at certain times and then taper down, because you will be more specifically prepared to max.
Thanks for the information. Mine really are not ME (100%) either, usually goal for me on those days is to try and hit my 2nd attempt which % wise would be very similar to yours. It will be a 20-week blast by the end - 5 months of preparation.

Oh yeah here we go!!! Are you doing anything to create bloat this week like increased sodium or adding in some MK or are you just going to go in as is?
Yeah, and with the Anadrol pushing your BP up some already adding MK may not be the way to go.Well, you only want any bloat at the actual meet. The body will naturally adjust to whatever after several days & adjust diuresis, so day before is when I would try to get a bit of extra salt in.
Idk on MK. It really jacks my BP and causes lethargy. I might play with some 15mg tabs I have and see what happens? Anadrol will already add a little water back I expect.

Wow, didn’t realize it had been 5 months….time really has flew by. But you did a great job putting the weight back on, and obviously you did it all the right way because it looks like your going to top your best on all your lifts. It will be a 20-week blast by the end - 5 months of preparation.

Awesome, congrats on the progress on your ROM. That's a big deal for future training like you said!
You know on the drol I was feeling fine but seeing 140/80 sometimes. This week off of it at very similar bodyweight and diet, same other gear & supps, I’ve seen 125/76. This is both on 80mg Telmisartan, Drol was only variable.
140 is kind of my systolic line in the sand.
