I used to live next to the Guerrilla Chemist when I lived in Dallas. Super nice guy and extremely intelligent. It seemed like he had product plans with some other companies and plans fell through for some reason, so glad to see he's finally out there. You're definitely getting products that have been well thought out by a person who understands the science, but that is definitely a lot of cash to be spending.

The few times I've eaten ramen these days I've always wished there was a more nutritional option for how quick and easy it is to make. Low and behold someone thought the same. Vite ramen, company just started a year ago. Just check out this profile... Flavors go up to 30g of protein.
Price isn't too bad either, with shipping it averages out to $4 a pack.
Tastes good too

Just like how his pre workout has 15g per scoop but only 8.9g of raw actives. That’s over 6g of fillers not listed on his label

What is that long ingredient in the middle?
Never mind, I found it, what a scam. Clearly trying to make it sound way more scientific than it is

Chemix has included the all-new Endo-Pump in its pump pre-workout at a dose of 800mg. As for what Endo-Pump actually is, on the label it is listed as a blend of three ingredients with pomegranate written as punica granatum, epicatechin, and icariin, although on the King Of Pumps label it goes by its lengthier chemical name.

All I am thinking looking at this is I can buy the ramen for 10 cents/pack at Sam’s Club, drink a scoop of Dymatize Iso 100 (also bought there), and have one of my 3 tablet servings of Orange Triad...and only spend $1.50/meal while consuming higher quality protein & multi

Gimmicks...

The pump product doesn’t look bad at all but very expensive. However, his pre workout’s profile was pretty much a joke and a disappointment being the first product launched in his line.

This argument/point can be made for pre workouts as well. Cheaper to source a bunch of individual ingredients and mix them up instead of buying a pre-made pre-workout.

(okay not exactly the same, but close)

I believe they are listed in the label, under other ingredients directly below the nutritonal profile

I think the formula looks badass, preworkout I would never buy but this looks good. Would wait for a sale but items like NovaPump run at $50 for 20servings not sure why he’s getting such a bad wrap.

Same. I can’t digest them at all. Protein bars with them seem to always mess me up - at least the high dose ones
And it's higher in empty calories than table sugar !!

The formula looks pretty good go to me. It’s wayyy over priced, but I would buy it if it was under $30 bucks.

Edit: now seeing the sugar alcohols in it I will pass on it even on a 50% off sale. Those tear my stomach up.

I had the same problem until I started taking high doses of probiotics.

Influence of Probiotics on Dietary Protein Digestion and Utilization in the Gastrointestinal Tract.
Wang J1, Ji H1.
Author information

Abstract

Protein is essential to growth and metabolism. Many factors influence dietary protein digestion and utilization in the gastrointestinal tract. Probiotics have attracted increasing attention in recent years owing to their broad health benefits, which may include a positive influence on the digestion and utilization of proteins. Several observations support their potential role in protein digestion. For example, probiotics can regulate the intestinal microflora and thereby influence intestinal bacteria related to proteolysis. Probiotics can also induce host digestive protease and peptidase activity, and some can release exoenzymes involved in the digestion of proteins. In addition, probiotics can improve the absorption of small peptides and amino acids by improving the absorption ability of the epithelium and enhancing transport. Furthermore, probiotics can reduce harmful protein fermentation and thus decrease the toxicity of metabolites. In this review, the roles of probiotics in intestinal protein digestion and utilization and the potential mechanisms underlying these effects are discussed.

I was talking strictly protein bars with sugar alcohols. No issue for me digesting protein bars without them. :)

I do like digestive enzymes + probiotics before large meals, though. Maybe even add in some Gentian

These rules apply for all your sinfit protein bars and cookies too. In many cases you can eat a snickers or marsbar, pretty much whatever you fancy, drink a scoop of whey isolate and get better macro breakdown plus a better "cheat" for a fraction of the price.

I'm fortunate to have a highly acidic iron gut, so sugar alcohols fasted, multitude of pills, vitamins, nootropics, fasted, doesn't negatively impact me. I'm grateful.

I never had any problems in my 20's and early 30's....could consume bars, whey, etc...not have much of an issue but now I have to be real careful. Probiotics have really helped me. I take a 32 strain 34.5 billion version...

Its also helped mood/stress/anxiety.

Yes, I have heard that as we age, stomach acidity decreases, which will negatively impact digestion. Probiotics help not just the gut microbiome, but improve acidity.

Sure, but at least those have a real market. Ramen, on the other hand, is the cheapest of the cheap. People have always paid for sweets and preworkouts, but look at the ratio of cost increase here. Maruchan Ramen can be had for $0.10/pack - a far cry from $4.

True although I can get a mars bar for 25p and one scoop of isolate is £1 so £1.25 compared to £3 for a sinfit bar. Compared to £1.10 for my ramen with protein powder and £3.50 for the vita version so not much in it. The only reason why cheat looking protein bars and cookies have a market is because 99% of the people that eat them think they are getting something that's healthier and better for gains which just isn't true. It's one thing to make your whey isolate taste like sweet treats but keeping the macros the same but most of these bars (not just sin fit) achieve their taste by actually adding fat, sugar and actual chocolate etc. To the product, then stamp 20g PROTEIN on the label and people don't notice it also has 30g carbs and 17g fat.

Actually, I pay about $10 bucks for quality ramen soup at Ramen restaurants in the city I live. That’s why I would buy this Vita Ramen product because it would be less and looks to also be quality ramen soup.

Btw...if you want to make cheap ramen soup into a quality one you can drop 2 eggs and some spinach in while you are cooking it. It comes out pretty good.

since way back in the day I have viewed syntha- 6 as a dessert protein. nice substitute for what I usually eat for dessert.
