Kat and Puccah's Strong is the new sexy log

Good idea! Our school system out here doesn’t really allow the choice unfortunately. Only other option would be private school (which my paycheck wouldn’t even begin to cover lol) I have thought about seeing if I could fight the system to get him into one of the other schools around here. Sadly, 5th grade is a tough age and not even sure that would fix anything.

It's hard to transfer schools here as well. Lucky we moved when my first kid was 4. the school system in Tulsa that I grew up in went to crap.
of course our town has grown.
My home town had about 9,000 people in it 20 years ago. now its over 30K It has grown fast!

Went to my old gym today to try to catch up with a friend! I definitely miss some of the friends I’ve made there over the years!

Thigh/Quad Focus - No Rest during Giant sets, and Rest is 90 seconds between. Try to complete in 15 minutes or you will have to cut conditioning short.

The native american population has really thinned out of the years. the blood lines are getting thinner and thinner. The only true natives to America.
I played ball for 2 years at the junior college there.Very familiar with Joplin as well. It was 18 to drink in MO. lol

Thanks guys. I don’t feel like I over do it. Just think it’s something that is going to hurt until I get it repaired. Considering trying a cortisone injection first. I don’t really want to deal with recovery from the surgery through summer. Maybe early fall or early next year. (I hate going to the dr if you can’t tell. Lol)

Thank you! My hubby use to go with a friend to the river that runs through the state. I’ve actually only been once- fell out in the first rapid and have never worked up the nerve to go back down the river. The lake should be fun though- not moving water with rocks and an under tow! Lol

Did end up subbing some of the broad jumps and 1.5 sets of the burpees with jump rope. The straight up and down jumps are fine but quick pivoting of that right hip seems to be a big culprit in the pain. I have taken Advil twice today. May steal some meloxicam for a few days to see if I can get the pain to calm down a bit.

Lol! I wasn't going to skip, but definitely tempted. It's always good to see others putting in work when they aren't feeling the best or hurting. Good motivation.

We noticed that you don't need to focus on yours! ;)

Yeah I have noticed that but most want to do toning work. Things just get tighter with that you need hard work to build that muscle. I mean if you are only going to improve one part of the body I am perfectly fine with women picking that but I sure wish they would be more well rounded. Nothing better than a strong and beautiful woman.

Started warming up with pull-ups waiting on a place to do ohp. Ended up going upstairs to a small turf section with a few free weights. No place for pull-ups so I went with one arm Db snatch.

Db snatch 35x5,5,5 each arm
Plank 30 secs each set

I have been rolling the muscles in my hips, glutes, and upper legs yesterday and today...it’s amazing how tight and tender they are!

I’ve been eating so much better and training 4-5x a week but can’t seem get to my caloric intake down. Any suggestions? Is 2000 calories of healthy food really a bad thing or do I still have to cut it?

I think i would die with 2000 calories... Lol just kidding but i really dislike limiting my intake so i dont do it. I just eat quality foods and dont worry so much about quantity. That works for me but will it work for what you want to accomplish? Idk

I think for a woman trying to burn body fat it is a bit high, but a few extra miles of cardio should help over come it. Keep you diet Clean and do some sort or Cardio everyday and you should be good.

Thanks, guys. My job is super active so I am constantly hungry, especially since I’ve cut out a lot of carbs.

I think eating right is the biggest battle...if you find you’re not dropping like you want then drop 1-200 calories. Do that for a week or two and then drop another 1-200...so much easier (and long lasting) than big cuts all at once!
 
We took our kayaks today for this first time. Slightly windy but so much fun! Even got a good workout with fighting the waves and carrying them to and from the lake & house.

Edit: sadly no pics bc I was afraid to take my phone out. I did order some waterproof bags that should be in within a couple of days.

It is a good workout. Cell phone + water. usually not a good idea.
