Kat and Puccah's Strong is the new sexy log

Tats looking good puccah8808. I'm planning on my next one too! I think Im going to start on a 1/2 sleeve on the right arm...just deciding on what to do. I have a medieval dragons head on the delt, and thought about either adding a knight, my family crest which has a knights helmet, or making the dragon look like the center piece on a shield and cover the upper portion of my arm in armor. That way Id have a Japanese warrior on one arm...and an Old English warrior on the other. Thoughts?

Thank you and that sounds pretty bada**!!! You're Japanese?

I'm going to get a Phoenix on my ham with its feather going down to my calves so when I do ham exercises, it looks like it's flapping it's wings! Hahahaha, it sounds as bad as a tramp stamp but I promise it'll look good. :)

Lol. Not Japanese. But I have studied about ancient Japan and absolutely love the history, and the culture. Truly believe if we (US) would take after several of their traditions it would improve us as a whole....especially with what I see out of the youth today. And I think the Phoenix would be bad@ss!!

Geese n I haven't even got my first one yet lol. Hope every one been doing ok!!! P you getting your steps in!! I just had blood work come back now I know why since August of last year I've gained so much weight back and haven't felt good!! Thyroid it is!! So I'm on t4 now. Hopefully that will help.

Sigh*** I think I'm a bit exhausted. I have very little interest in people; conversing, hanging out, just stuff that I wouldn't have a problem with.

For example, if a guy wants to talk to me, after a few days I would just block him because I don't have the energy to engage in some silly conversations. I don't know. I don't have the energy to invest in anyone these days.

I hate working out. I don't even know why I do it. My heart is not in it at all. All around, you see these people who feel like if you're not "beast mode" in this lifestyle, you're not sh*t. Well, I hate it. I hate how it consumes your life. How you feel guilty for sleeping in and skipping the gym. How the gym life is your top 3 priorities, and most of the damn time above your family and work. It's mentally freaking draining having to think about what you're going to eat, giving in to your cravings then feeling like you have failed because you didn't stick to your "diet". I hate this lifestyle and how I have become.

My brother is in the hospital. Do I wake up early, train, work, work again, then go see him? Do I just skip the gym and go see him? Why the hell do I feel more guilty about skipping the gym than not going to see him?

Be easy Puccah. I understand losing your motivation. It happens from time to time. Just push through the best you can.

I'm sorry about your brother. It sucks. But if he needs you there, be there. The gym can wait. My suggestion would be to hit the gym when you can during the day while also seeing him. If you need to talk you can pm me.

The priorities change over time and for most the gym is not only a lifestyle, it's who they are. It's time to shift your focus towards what's important in your life. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. Do what's best for you.

There was a time when you lifted because it was fun to pick up heavy $hit. Go back to that, do only what you enjoy about it for a while and don't worry about the rest. Screw everybody and anybody who thinks they need to judge your level of fitness or commitment. If getting uber ripped, or trying all the time is not making you happy then I say "Screw the diet!!!!". Eat to be healthy and maintain a look you are comfortable with and be done with it. Enjoy your lifting as a stress reliever, you know like when it was just a hobby or interest and not something you conditioned yourself to be obsessed with. Go in and sling weight until you are done then leave with a smile on your face. You don't need a program, or anything else. You don't even need a gym.

If you truly hate working out then my recommendation is to stop. Sounds like some obsessive and compulsive tendencies have crept in and taken the enjoyment out of the lift. Take the power away from that by only doing what you when you want for a while. If it isn't working out then take up taking a walk or hike a few times a week. Then you may end up craving the gym, or end up realizing you don't ever want to get back into it.

In the end just do you. Working out is not a responsibility, unless doing it specifically for your health that is. So you should never feel guilty for choosing not to workout if you truly see no more value from it with your current priorities.

Honestly, I can't put it any better than how MrKleen73 put it. Do it because you enjoy being strong. Who gives a shyt about the IG world and their bullshyt. Do it for you. I think the ones who make it 100% their lifestyle end up leading unhappy lives. Especially if they don't use their bodies for a living. Anyone who looks down on anyone because they just like lifting and don't want to worry about the other shyt is an ass hat anyway. Fck em.

Puccah, we have some history on this forum. All i can say to you is do what you feel is best for you.

But in the end, you have worked your ass off. You have destroyed the iron, and you are beast mode. Its not a label, its a feeling. Perhaps you just need to some time to yourself to re-evaluate your personal goals. In all honesty, your brother is more important than any bar you can wrap your hands around...

Just remember you...hell, girls like you and Kat make guys like us push harder, you are an inspiration. Be proud, and always remember family first.

I like rock/metal when I train. Not so big on screamo though.

If it is still bad later then get some vinegar and poor it into a cool or room temperature bath. It helps to draw the heat out of the burn. I don't remember the method that it helps with the burn but I KNOW it works because I have done it.

Rock and metal with little cussing and no screaming? The first stuff that comes to mind is Metallica and ...and justice for all, ride the lightning, and master of puppets are all awesome full albums. Maybe some Pantera as well.

Was going to say lots of old school heavy metal. Five Finger Death Punch is awesome and although there is some growling / yelling it is far from screamo!!! I think you would probably LOVE listening to P.O.D. they have some AWESOME intense music and a lot of it has positive messages. They are actually kind of considered a Christian Rock band. Just a little more secular.

P.O.D. - Here is an Example of some of their stuff.

Thanks! I use pandora some but mostly Spotify.

I might have to do that! It hurts pretty bad. I soaked a towel in black tea and apple cider vinegar last night and laid it on my back for 20-30 mins. I had my lil guy soaking in the tub with Epsom salts and vinegar last night.

Love Metallica...I'm fine with normal amounts of screaming just not the full blown screamo music. Haha

Christian Metal maybe?

That's what most of my playlist is.

Red is hands down my favorite out of that list!

Eh, I don't listen to christian metal. I think it probably fits better in line to what Kat is looking for, though!
Yeah that is why I started pulling up a few I knew had some Christian background.
We all know that since your from Texas **cough**puny state**cough**, you only listen to Southern Baptist Hymns.
Haha, This is H-Town Bitch!!!! Slim Thug and Paul Wahl for the win! LMAO!
You got a problem with Southern Baptist ???????

No, just the hymns... as a kid with ADHD being still and not getting myself into trouble while we were supposed to be standing and singing the hymns was pretty much impossible for me!

Maybe we could get Slim Thug to remake some old Hymns... LOL

Skillet and Red are def the best for what you're looking for, Kat :)

And Christian or not, Monster by Skillet is possibly the best song for heavy reads/squats ever.

Beyond that, Warrior by Volbeat will make you happy :)

ps take care of that back -- it looks horribly painful

pps PUT THE LOTION IN THE BASKET

I was a twitchy and impulsive kid and my Mom was having none of it so there were a lot of under the radar slaps, smacks, thumps and "Boy if you don't be still and be quiet I am going to blister your backside when we get home!!!" going on when we were in the main Sanctuary.
I lol'd. Slim thug is one of my all time favorites.
Would be interesting to say the least huh?
