No sh*t. It's raining here in my part of NorCal. Very crazy weather.

I was dying of heat two days ago! I hope it stays like this!

I agree!! I hate the heat. Love this cool weather. But we both know how it is here in NorCal. Unfortunately it's gonna get HOT. Every summer here for the past 30 years or so I've seriously considered moving to somewhere where it never gets above 70 deg. Some day.

Oh, yes, I know this heat all too well. It's death! Lol

Same for me! Even 70 is too hot sometimes. I love overcast.

I'm with you ! Unfortunately all the good paying jobs seem to be where it sucks to live! I need some long lost rich uncle to kick the bucket and leave his fortune to me ;)

Hahaha, and I need a rich husband who will drag me to the gym on my off days and let me be his crazy trophy wife! :D

LOL Not an option for me .... unless some rich Cougar wants a trophy husband ;) Odds are better for winning the lottery I suppose. Sadly my family curse seems to be we all have to work hard for our money .... I get paid well and have no real money worries but I work my ass off 50 hours a week and take all my work stress home with me ... if it weren't for the gym and my iron therapy I would go insane.

I use to be like that. Work 60-70 hours a week and stress out. I don't make the same as I did before but I can tell you that my peace of mind is a lot better!!

And it's not a curse, it's a blessing to be able to provide for your family. :)

I hear you. I have been in the same career for 25 years and its a career I never intended on ... sorta fell into it and looked up and 25 years had passed. I am desperately trying to figure out a career change path ... and at my age that's not all that easy. As far as the providing for my family thing goes ... that is slowly coming to an end. My oldest son is about to graduate high school in 2 months and then he will be on his own....sort of. He already has a job and straight A's in school so he will go to college and do well. My other son lives with his mother. My girlfriend has 2 daughters of her own, same age as my boys but she and her ex provide for them ... so I figure I have a maximum of 1 more year like this and then I can seriously entertain moving and a career change. As with most iron addicts like myself I have developed a strong desire to work in the fitness industry in one way or another. I have 20 years of sales experience so I would much rather be in fitness/supplement sales than what I am currently doing. I am also NASM certified as a personal trainer although I never use it .... just did it for the hell of it a while back. However I doubt I could make much doing the personal training thing and frankly I would never want to work with the average general public type gym goer ... only serious athletes or celebrities or other serious bodybuilder types. And those are coveted and few positions in the industry. So ... still brainstorming on how to make a mid-life career change into a line of work I am passionate about and can make close to the amount of money I do now. Again ... not an easy task. Often I wish I had made different choices when I was in college ... as most do I suppose. I am also a musician and when I was in college my band signed a record deal and we put out an album and began to tour .... I thought I had made it big so I dropped out of college and did the touring musician thing for 3 years .... then the music scene changed and our record label dropped our contract. So I went into the line of work I am in now and never looked back. Until now ;) Long story short .... its time to make a career change and actually enjoy going to work every day. Just how to do it I don't yet know

Wow, you have a lot going on. I can feel the change coming for you!

Sometimes things just kinda happen. You never expected to make a career out of your job but it happened and now you're almost done. It's almost time to finish the book and start a new one. :)

You can do what you love, do what you've always wanted to do. :) When you find something you love, the passion makes up for the lack of money but eventually it will all even out. :)

I use to watch my old coworkers come into work and b*tch every day about their jobs. They had invested too much time to just up and leave, and not enough time to retire yet. I would always ask them if they had regrets and they would always say yes. "Don't be like us".

I didn't, I didn't want to be like them, there had to be more to life than a monotonous job that I hated. I could either stay at a job that I hated for another 20 years or finish school in four years and do something I love. So... I went back to school. The last 31/2 years have not been easy and many times I've wanted to give up but I'm right around the corner from graduating.

You know, when I got laid off from my high paying job, some of the people there laughed at me. It gave me the motivation to keep pushing forward. You laugh at me now but you won't be laughing when I finish school and you're still at a job that you hate.... ?

Thank you! I feel a change coming too .... it has to happen. I won't die in this career and I need to follow my passion rather than the money. Congrats on your path too! Sounds like you are almost there .... you made the right choice to leave the ****ty job and go back to school. You are younger than I am .... and by the time you're my age you will be very happy doing what you enjoy. Awesome !

Yes, it's coming for you! I can feel your passion bursting at the seams. :)

Snowing in PA !!
I miss PA, everything about it is breathtaking.

Was snowing last night super heavy in Atlantic city

It's never snowed here, only a little bit of hail. People drive crazy when it sprinkles and it was front page news when a little wind (tornado) ripped a shingle off the roof.

Thank you!!!!

Follow your passion and the rest will fall into place. Most of us know this but very few of us actually try it. Its always a scary risk to take when you factor in all lifes financial responsibilities ... leaving a good paying job to follow your passion. But I know I don't want to be laying on my deathbed wishing I had taken the risk ...I would much rather take the risk and even fail over never having even tried.

Exactly! I grew up watching my parents work themselves to death just to provide for us while never truly enjoying what they did. I love what I do now but I also love my cake business! I will likely be going full time in that fairly soon. That will be a huge leap of faith because the money will not be certain like my job in orthodontics but that's what I feel God calling me to do...so jump, I must!!

How did i not see this log??......subbed to say the least ;)

Welcome!

Excited to say I will be running another round of Osta very soon! This time it will be during my cut instead of a bulk but excited to see how it helps maintain my muscle! Goal is to drop 15-20 lbs of fat by mid June!

I ran 20mgs for 3 months, 2 of those month I was in a 1000 calories deficiency and I dropped 15lbs while keeping all my strength. You'll definitely keep it all!

Understandable, I totally agree Alabama sucks but it isn't the heat... LOL :) I kid I kid!

We had snow last night, quite a bit of it. Pretty used to really late springs now though :(

I would take snow over the intense heat any day. It actually gets up to 110-115 degrees in the summer in my area .... luckily it never lasts longer than a week at that heat level but even so that's HOT. Generally around here the entire month of August averages over a 100 degrees .... I am not a heat loving person. The way I look at it is you can always add more clothes to keep warm in the cold ... but there's only so far you can go when trying to stay cool in the heat ... ;)
