T3, please allow me to say how nice it is that you are getting proper workouts in there.

I remember when I was in the depths of illness, I would have given everything to be able to train again. As soon as you start training I started to forget how bad I felt before and instead was wishing I was back in full recovery mode.

I try and stay humble and never forget the hard moments, it is these that make us stronger.

You are an inspiration to many but even more so to me because I know how hard you have had to battle for this.

Tonight was a glorious night indeed in the iron, we saw the return of a solid grove in Deads and some light but functional power cleans, nothing dramatic, but demonstrated that the coordination and stability is still there.

Power Cleans 95x5, 95x5 (Kept these in control, a little less explosion than I used to use, but I am happy with the result. The foundation is still there.

Holy.. I did not know this DreamWeaver. I came from 365 to 190.. but have some questions for you if you don't mind at some point. Fantastic pictures! congrats.

Sorry bout the hijack taman but How long did it take you to drop the weight dw? 305 to on stage is pretty impressive.

Wasn't all done at once I dropped 70 in 5 months on the Warrior diet, then stopped training for a bit and went back up to 280 almost 6 years ago. That is where my real comeback started, I got down to the high 190's for my first content and went back to 240 in the off season. I then started IF and got down to about 195 for my second contest better but still not there. This time I had Steve (snags) help me out and it could not have gone better don't know how lean I was but would say clese to around 4% and was by far the leanest there. Using IF the highest I got in the off season was 207 which was about 12 weeks out from contest. I never really had to go ultra low cals 2250 was my lowest.

That's awesome DW. Im always interested on how other people utilize dieting strategies. Yeah I watched the vids you put up you were by far the most conditioned there.

Shut it down for a week, took a couple of vacatation days over my birthday, will be back up on it tomorrow, another vacation day, get to lift with my oldest, always love that because I trust him to spot me and we push each other. As promised, was back up and on it today. The week off did not seem to hurt me a bit and in fact may have been beneficial.

Flat BB Bench (W/u bar, 135) 185x5, 205x5, 235x4 (Would have went for 5 but it was questionable and had no spotter as my oldest was getting his cardio in.) My last Flat BB Bench was 3 weeks ago (I alternate flat and incline every week) and that was 230x5.

Inc DB 75x12 (Not going to make progress if I keep doing the same **** so.....) 80'sx8

Squat 155x4 (foot hit the bench base, kind of tripped me up so I racked it and pulled the bench out)

Very happy with the progress I have seen this week. Baseball season is over so we will be going to a 4 day split, not quite sure what thatvis going to look like, but we will figure it out.
 
Very true muscle memory is an amazing thing.

The upper body strength has been coming back quite nicely, struggling with weight that less than 12 months ago was not even warm up weight is tough to get one's head around. Grateful for any progress made however. Bad news is my Y shut down this week, do it every year, wish I would have remembered that when I shut it down for a week.

At least you can leave your ego at the door unlike most people I see, throwing weights around that are far too heavy with terrible form, you'll get there big guy it's just going to take time :)

Yah heavy weight is overrated you lift as heavy as good form will allow for what you are doing for reps sets etc... that is heavy enough.
