Snag gets FINAFLEXed on Road to Nationals

thank you chris! (so there para - see not everyone looks at my pics with a magnifying glass like you do) ;)

dammit! my workout was just snagglelicious today! started out a bit ruff but then the chains were unleashed, and it turned into a storm of uncontained fury and madness..i mean I damn near broke my teeth off with the effort, clenching my face so hard (good thing I wear a mouthguard during my sessions) :o

total win, this day..chalk up another day closer to the finish line, and move on to the next....

Man, I just observe things I guess. I've been taught to be meticulous in my observations throughout the years.
And your calves are huge, along with the rest of the wheels. So chew on that.

well thank you sir
now - fix your sig already will ya? it's all lopper-jawed and skewed
they have this thing called the return or enter key, lets you space things out evenly so it doesn't all run together..
try it, you may like it :D

I had it looking all pretty and them he screwed it up.

I liked your old sig better...just sayin lol I might be a little biased though

after another round of late-night cardio @1am last night, awoke this morning just looking silly lean - and, veins! all over, profuse in abs..not just the ones I usually get in the lower region & sides, but a couple noticeable ones smack dab in the middle of my upper & mid ab region, and cross-directional veinage as well..skin looking tighter on daily basis..

I am SO tickled to see this - have seen veins there before, but not like this, and certainly not this far out from any show I have done before - late night cardio for the WIN :hammer:
the flip side is: weight just barely touching 196 this morning..not worried about this at all, but there is something depressing in moving away from 200 :(

into the last week of mechabol here - will be done before the week is out..thought about increasing to 125mg/daily for the end, but since i'm really getting fantastic results at my current dosage of this & 1-Alpha I really couldn't justify it
no sense pushing myself on a methyl if I don't have to - to this point I have no issues whatsoever, only positive results, and do not wish to meddle..will miss the combo tho as I move into a tri-dosing of all three of 1-Alpha/550XD/EpiV, and anticipating continued great progress from that stack
:yup:

The ab veins means you're lean!

Do you eat after cardio??
I am lean and getting moreso all the time! skin is thinner to the pinch like almost on daily basis

nope on the post-cardio food -- quick shower, down a scoop of BCAA+SAA and G8 mixed, and off to bed..
should be burning fat all night long

couple quick notes as I sit here thinking about my workout coming soon..
cals current ~2750-2850, except on the hi-carb days where it approaches more like ~3650
carbs rolling from 100-150, except again hi-carb days will get me to 285-300 range..protein hi at all times

the plan is to run my lean-out schematic until next Saturday, when I will assess things and make a decision of what to do then
the idea tho: go back into a bit higher cal mode (3000-3250) with higher carbs/lower fats, basically stay in a holding pattern for following 3 weeks..this would bring me to 5 weeks out, when I call on the compounds that will take me all the way home (still keeping this a surprise for now :D); also would drop cals to appropriate levels, and really focus on getting the fat intake low..i want to basically be ready 2 weeks out, able to make any adjustments I need to w/o pulling out anything drastic

pretty sure I can follow this to a T and get the results I am after; we will see how it all rolls out

So much knowledge, so little room for me to absorb. Must take screenshot. Process later.
ha! not trying to confoose; these notes are as much for me, as for you guys
this AM log has become a nice quick-reference journal for me, to gauge myself with, keep track of things
I put my thoughts in print sometimes just to visualize my own processing..

teaser pics, following leg training today..

soon going to pick up my son for the duration of the w/e..he told me he wants to play tennis today.. :nervous:
dunno bout that one, pretty fried right now - he might have to wait till tomorrow..lil dude is getting really good tho, he can beat me now sometimes, especially if my legs are wobbly from leg day lol

on another note: EUREKA! after 5yrs, I have finally figured out how to manually adjust my cam flash settings! :woohoo:
I always just used preset modes - none of which have an option to leave it off
ima bit technologically challenged, sometimes :D

I kind of want to do things similar in the early stages where I gained 5 lbs then knocked my cals back to 3000 and lowered carbs slightly tne now I seem to be recomping some so depending on how things go my cals may go back up, but I will play it by eye... youre eye more than mine. Doing my before pics today and will have my log up by tomorrow.

doug - gotchya, will look for it

LOL!!! What?! I'm going to use this somewhere, someday, somehow.
hahaha too funny..i will look for it in your log :p

Is the young one getting coached?
yeah last yr he had sessions all summer long with this hotshot state tennis player who had just graduated high school and was getting ready to go to college; guy taught him well..up until then it was pretty much just me teaching him
his game improves by leaps & bounds every single time out it seems, and he's growing so he's acquiring a lil strength to go with his fantastic natural court sense
the ex-wife thinks he could go pro; he's got a long way to go before that but his improvement has been rapid..i'm very proud of him

so the lil dude did end up talking me into playing tennis yesterday; my energy was shot/legs wobbly, and he beats me soundly 6-3 6-1 (by the third game of the 2nd set, I was ready to get the hell out of there, exhausted!)..i had nothing going, was not moving well, and did not even try for some shots I usually get to with my speed - kid was painting lines something fierce in rallies this day, another step in direction of consistency he needs to take
me meanwhile - I awoke hard as nails this morning! and maybe even more importantly, weight stabilized o/n ~196, yet harder than chinese math upon waking..and VEINS! :hammer: I mean new veins every morning now, biceps/arms looking incredibly roped out..
in a very nice zone right now where all is going as planned, very pleased
hi-carb today + last day in rotation of training protocol before off-day tomorrow

I don't think I've ever even thought about getting into my posing trunks at ~9 weeks out before..

Damn Snags. Looking huge and ripped. Awesome awesome awesome.

Do you have a target weight for this year? I think you'll definitely be fuller than last time you were on stage
I don't worry about weight - no need to; simply another measurement to gauge progress with, is all

and yeah - I would hope that I come in much better and different from last yr man LOL..i think I already explained, I stumbled in the middle of prep (first time in my life that happened) and had to bust ass at the end to pull out all stops to get lean enuff..end result was a loss of good ~5lbs muscle, and a rather flattish look
(and still placed 2nd and got ticket to nationals)

this is a totally different prep - no comparison..

This man....looks like a Pro bodybuilder. If I was on the beach, and this strolled by, I would not confuse it for a random gymrat with a few AAS cycles under his belt. Your build is deliberate - you could really win this baby, Snags.

The float trip this weekend was awesome, and boy was it great to demolish a ton of simple carbs - and my dieting/prep really paid off. I was only 10lbs heavier maybe than last year, but now I'mg leaner & my shape is better - got about 500 comments/compliments about my body. Lots of people who hadn't seen me in a good while kept telling me how 'jacked' or 'ripped' I've become, and got a LOT of attention from women on the river :spankme:

Kind of makes me want to adopt more of a lean gains approach to my strength/size training, and forget heavy bulking. The power & muscle I've been building these last few years was finally appreciated, because for the first time people could really see it - I looked as strong as I've become. That's something you & Kleen have brought up before, & I really like where you guys are coming from.

WOW man, hella compliment there, thank you for that! lotta work to do yet, trust me, but - I will not take my eye off the prize, no worries :)

yup yup, always good, this!

awesome news to hear from you hyde - I am glad to hear things are coming to a point you feel comfortable and good about
as for the diet: of course, I will always preach good healthy food choices, and I am not a big fan of the whole "bulk" thing either; but you gotta take a course that YOU will feel comfortable and good about, looking in the mirror..
for ME, that means maintaining leanness and proportion, yr-round
for you, well that's what you really need to decide; whatever the choice -- embrace it!

Looking excellent for 9 weeks out Snags!

Looking the best I've seen you snags!!! Very full and and tight for 9 weeks out.
Symmetry Shape it's all there ....

thank you gentleman :) the mission continues....

couple random pics of some food yesterday & this morning..i show the oddball one w/ deli meat not because it's anything special, rather to show I needed a quick "gap" meal to tide me over till my carb feeding, and the meals were already skewed for the day; so, to maintain planned caloric/macro levels, this fit in well
you can be creative and quick -- without having to run to subway or mickeyDs or where else it is you think you have to go, when you need quick sustenance -- it is not that difficult really

some grilled chicken breast + salad
(not pictured couple rice cakes)

the carb meal NEVER gets old (not pictured: sweet potato + broccoli)

a bit of a tweak on egg mcsnag..
4oz chicken breast/2 egg whites/1 whole eggs/slice cheese on Ezekiel
(not pictured 1/3c blueberries)
total ~475cals

That oatmeal looks much better then mine this morning :(

the oats are old-fashioned, quaker..
egg mcsnag usually has 96% beef on it, but had chicken to eat up

this is a bit more standard fare for me, when I'm in my current protocol..smallish mid-day feeding
3oz grilled chicken breast/2oz chicken breast chunks/5oz tuna w/ salsa/greens/couple rice cakes (flavored white cheddar this time not plain)..~415cals

This is how I roll.

yeah I used to use them, but I prefer the old-fashioned now..better texture, heartier but not as hearty as steel-cut and cooks quicker than steel cut as well

Ten pounds of these last me about a month in my current diet. I tried steel cut but I didn't like the texture or the five hour cook time :p

exactly on the steel-cut lol
I usually do eat a large portion of oats daily, gp..things just trimmed wayyy down currently (mr obvious I am)
tell ya what: I am a madman on these rice cakes lately, they can be fit into any meal to get my carb quota in, are low-cal, no fat (well white cheddar has .5g) and easy as hell to make :p
TOTAL win here..
the plain ones, sometimes if I need some fat for that meal, i'll spread some almond butter on it..WHOA freakin delish
TOTAL WIN (did I already say that?)

I just went shopping today, bought like 18 packages of these things (were on sale 2/$4)..
lady looked at me kinda odd as she was checking me out at the register lulzz

Yeah but it wasn't in caps so it didn't count.
Think I'm going to be trying my hand at some protein pancakes this week. Excited about new foods!

I need to get some more rice cakes... I also need to find some Cream of Rice cereal!

You do NOT want to overcook them....ask me how I know this...took about 5 batches to get it down decent. Also, they get tough FAST if you over-mix them. Stir as little as possible to get it blended.

They're kinda dry by nature, so you have to be smart about how you top them so they're moist enough to enjoy.

ahhhhhhh what the hell..
my mad-scientist mind cannot help itself from experimenting LOL..decided to push the methylclostebol to 125 over the last 3 days, get a lil taste of that dosage; starting today (ends Thursday)
I figure it's only 3 days, and really - if I have any issues with that, then I may just be in trouble at the end with my final 5-week plan
could run mecha longer if I desired, still will have some, but that is not the plan; 3 weeks and out for it right now

played with hi-dose of that a few times now, most recently at beginning of prep here..love it!
obviously we cannot advise consumers to go to the lengths some of us more experienced guys/reps will play with, but for sure, very effective in large upper range dosing for extreme results
