102 in South Georgia today, plus humidity and gnats. Gotta love the south...

I was in savannah over the weekend. Heat there is brutal
 
Met with snags today (hes my nutrition coach if you haven't caught on yet lol)and we're changing things up a bit diet wise. I'm really trying to focus on timing everything out right instead of just saying I need to hit x amount of protein/carbs/fat today. It's going to be a little bit if a challenge for me in the beginning but I know I'll be better off with more structure once I get the hang of it. I still have macros I'm focusing on but now I'm going to be splitting them up into 6 meals with designated macros instead of just eating when I want. It'll be alot easier for me to say "ok I need this meal at this time this meal at this time" and so on rather than just saying "eh I'm hungry and I still have x amount of protein to hit today so ill just eat a chicken breast" Which is what I've been doing. Hopefully this turns my fat loss up a gear. Also up cals a little (thank god ;) ) I feel like I've kind of stalled out the last week or 2. One thing I think I can account that to is I've been slacking on cardio. Def. haven't been hitting my 4x a week. Probably only 3 on a good week. Gotta get that going again. On a good note though ill be under the wing of snags for at least another 12 weeks. He's stuck with me now lol I'm gonna rename this log "Body by Snags" ;)

I've found that having specific foods to eat at specific times has worked the best for me as far as sticking to a particular eating plan. My meals are pretty much the same every day.

Ha yeah I pretty much eat the same thing everyday too. Just gonna be timing it a little different now. And adding a few more carbs in.

Thanks buddy. I've hit them for like12 before but that was a while ago with longer rests and a much stronger chest/delts.

I actually kept it pretty mild yesterday. I only had an 8 oz steak, about 5 steak fries, 1 yeast roll, 1 cheddar biscuit, a baked potato, 2 chicken wings, 3 pieces of ribs, a bowl of ice cream and a small peanut butter cookie. Looks like a lot but it really wasn't. It was actually kind of encouraging and motivating and sad all at the same time to go out for my cheat meal and see SOOO many obese people. Seemed like everyone there was morbidly obese. But then again I guess you kind of expect that at a buffet lol. Anyway getting ready to go hit shoulders/ arms in a bit. May post up some Sunday nudes.

Woke up feeling pretty good today. Only gained 1lb from my cheat meal yesterday. So a much better experience than my last attempt at a cheat meal which 9lbs later ended up being a cheat day lol. Didn't get a whole lot of shoulder work in so ill probably be making this week a 5 day split and throwing another shoulder/chest day in. Hope everyone had a good Father's Day. Also I'd like to note that I will never shave my chest with a razor and shaving cream again...I used a razor and cream on Thursday and I am all bumped up and itchy now. No beuno..nair or electric razor only from now on.

and yeah man - there is an art to shaving your chest with razor & cream (this is all I do) - and if you are sweating much during the days following, it really doesn't matter WHAT you do to combat, you are gonna break out to some extent
just stick with electric razor..actually more soothing on the skin to leave that last lil stubble there instead of trying to get it down to nothing ;)

I have little containers with my name on them and they are numbered for which meal of the day they are. It helps.
 
I use gallon freezer bags with chicken deer and fish all cut into 4 oz chunks so I can just a patty or breast out and pop it in the microwave. I use big Tupperware for my quinoa and sweet potatoes though.
 
Ahhh, gallon bags. Hadn't even thought of that. Way more pliable. You, sir, get a gold star for today.

I used to go the Tupperware route but the wife started b1tching about all the dishes she was having to wash. So I started using the gallon bags....and then I told her to go make me a sammich

My children are girl 20, boy 18, girl 15; her's boy 17, girl 15, boy 10. My oldest (20) moved out last year to go to college. Weirdly enough, she decided to stay on campus through the summer lol. So at home I have 18,17,15,15,10.

Thanks bud. You know I swear I feel a huge difference already with the higher carbs. It's weird because I didn't even notice that the low carbs and cals had any negative effect on my energy/mood/strength until I added them back in. Huge difference. Feel much fuller too. Good stuff.
