I agree with this, we'll just call it the "Thundapinion"
I like it!

Looking good there Kleen, nice! Can you clarify what the "widow maker" is, I'm sure I know it under another name or something?

After the two worksets since strip sets / drop sets are not really safe with squats the widow maker is the answer. I borrowed it from DC training but basically you get a weight you could normally get a good smooth set of 12-15 reps and force yourself to get 20 by simply not putting it back up until you get to 20 reps. If that means you have to hold it on your back a 3, 4, 5 seconds between each rep at the end then that is what you do. You just do not rack the weight until you get to 20. So by the end you are pretty much doing singles but not putting the weight up between.

I think it's like 25-30 reps with a challenging weight, Don't quote me on that though!

Kleen that's very similar to my setup as far as 2 heavier sets, Both heavy weights and drop sets are very effective so combining them make the workout KICK ASS! I never will change it :D

Might I make a suggestion? I don't recommend that you go into a full bore DC routine. You know that you have to give a true 100% to DC for it to work while using such low volume. You have to take the sets beyond failure with the Rest-Pauses. And then you have excruciatingly slow negatives to add on top of the rest-pauses.
So it is a VERY high intensity type of training. Your shoulder, even though is feels better and is showing some strength again, would not love you for embarking on such a brutal type of routine.

I say go with the Warrior Workout for some extra conditioning and use those eclectic rep ranges that you outilined above.

Just Thunder's little opinion...........

Would someone please elaborate on this "warrior workout"? I did some net searching and found multiple protocols claiming to be the "warrior workout". I am intrigued, and would like to research this further...thanks

Yeah heavy and strip sets is nice and the burn from a hard set of 15 into a strip set is major intense!

Well I used to go by The Iron Warrior, going off a short story I wrote. I had every intention of promoting myself and using my program as part of the training. So I named it the Warrior Workout shortly thereafter when the 300 movie came out everyone and their brother came out with a Warrior workout and the name as well as any intention of me to market myself as The Iron Warrior quickly faded into the past. However those who have used the program love it and on AM they still refer to it as the warrior workout. If you PM me with your email I will send you the document I wrote up detailing the program and specific adjustments to form on some of the exercises to target the muscle more. I adjusted a few things here by using many different rep schemes, and changed the order and one or two of the exercises so the reps schemes I did here made more sense.

I thought about posting it up for everyone to use but with the amount of help requests I get from the Lean Gains / IF thread I decided not to put myself in a situation where I had to constantly assist people especially those who were not willing to read the entire thread first to see if their questions had already been answered.

That warrior workout of Kleens is no joke. I did it when I started lean gains and it is very taxing but a lot of reward comes with it. Give it a try man!!

Thanks Kleen, Its sounds like the real deal. I think I might just have to take it for a test drive.

Im going to have to agree. Dc is - someone has a gun to your head and if you dont get one more rep your wife and famil dies type mentally, its balls out and will wipe you down if you do it right. I say still go full intensity just not failure every single exercise. Just my suggestion as well since I did DC training for two years and got both serious injuries on it

That said I still think at some point you could do this kind of insane high intensity training style

Yeah... You would definitely be one busy guy on here if you did that! Can you email me a copy of that workout Brotha... [email protected]? Thanks!

I have to say I can understand why all these people are looking to you for help with IF/Lean gains and training. You really do have a lot of great knowledge and advice to offer. You have helped me beyond words, and if you hadn't opened my eyes to the world of Lean gains, who knows where I would be right now. I'm sure I would have had success but not to level I am at. Not to mention all the other advice and support I've revived from you in terms of diet and training...a huge part of the body changes I've made in the last 5 months have been with your guidance :)

It's a tremendous pump with the double drops... and you can get through it very quickly and it's intense as hell...

Thanks It was my bread and butter until I beat myself into submission. I now have a little more respect for having some higher reps thrown in. I have a feeling I am going to be extremely challenged and pleased with the undulating reps I have listed above. Much more well rounded fitness workout while still having the ability to promote growth.

This is the workout I am currently doing.
Yeah it is fun isn't it.

Thanks Kleen, Its sounds like the real deal. I think I might just have to take it for a test drive.

I just sent it to you, sorry for the delay.

That is a lot of bodyparts in one day Kleen. if it works for you then it works
If you think back to the old days of body building pre steroid era most of the people did full body workouts 2 & 3 times a week. It is one of the best ways to go as a natural due to the repeated stress it causes over the entire system increasing natural testosterone production. The biggest thing is that the joints have to be able to recover in the time in between the workouts. What you have to keep in mind also is that the volume is very low. Even though I have multiple body parts in each workout, I only have 12-14 actual worksets per workout, weight will be racked the rep before I know my form will degrade, and that includes my drop sets. That is what I refer to as form failure when I know I may not be able to get the next rep in good form is when I stop.

Yeah I will hit up a DC style workout later but it is definitely hard core. I will obviously use the higher rep ranges he recommends for those over 35 also.

Yeah... You would definitely be one busy guy on here if you did that! Can you email me a copy of that workout Brotha... [email protected]? Thanks!
Certainly.

Wow now that is one hell of a compliment. You have really come a long way, & have an extremely impressive physique. To think I aided you in that gives me great joy.
Kleen... A God amongst Insects!

Thanks, although I would say I am more like a worker bee doing the dance telling others the best places I know to find pollen. I would much rather work amongst you and be respected than to ever be revered.

It's a tremendous pump with the double drops... and you can get through it very quickly and it's intense as hell...
Yeah I love it can't wait to get to it next week. I bet I throw up once or twice. LOL I haven't pushed myself that hard anaerobically in quite some time and don't have ANY intentions of laying off due to being winded. I guess I will take a kitchen trash bag with me to the gym so I can have it if needed at any station so I don't have to stop and run to the bathroom.

I know the higher reps stuff if going to really get me and the pump is going to be insane.

Almost done.

Wow here we are 1 month out from the start of PCT and I have to say I am looking pretty studly. I went to Splashtown Waterpark yesterday with the kids, and even with all the young bucks out there I think I may have been the most built guy there. Out of the large and muscular guys I was easily the leanest. Not saying I was the leanest guy there but out of the 2 other guys who were actually built similar to me in my eyes I was the only one sporting abs when not flexed. I would not be surprised to find out from my wife that I was the biggest and the guys I was looking at as comparible were not my size as is normally the case.

I basically ate whatever I felt like yesterday since limited choices available and was hungry most of the day from all the walking and everything. I woke up and am nice and lean. I was so exhausted this morning that I got up mixed my preworkout and went to take a vitamin and was just swaying back and forth in a daze so I dumped the pre workout drink and went back to bed. I will hit some legs tonight at my other gym and have a little fun with the true squat machine. Tuesday wil be my first Warrior Workout. I think I am going to just rename it to The Kleen Machine. You have to be a machine to push through it and if you start out one you will be one when you are done anyway. I have had several fighters tell me they found that after doing this they did not gas as quickly and were able to consistently out muscle their opponents when rolling for any extended period of time.

I will be taking Pics more than likely Saturday morning and putting them up with my final review of the products. After that I will move into a run of EndoSurge to keep recovery ongoing and make use of this new test I am producing.

Sounds like a great plan Kleen. Looking forward to the pics and review man. ;)

WHEW!!!! I am beat and yet wide awake...

Just finished the first phase of my post workout nutrition bombardment. I went to my old gym tonight and it was packed, imagine that. I was able to secure a leg press machine and went to town on it. I decided to keep the weight moderate and reps high while on the leg press.

Leg Press /weights per side - 3p x20, 4p x20, 5p x20, 7p x20, 7p x20 5p x2 yeah that is right 2... My legs were so gone and my quads were so pumped they actually hurt. I got down in the bucket for the 3rd rep and just couldn't move had to use arms to help push it back up. Feet were just below center of platform and about 9 inches apart. Veins in quads looked like they were pulsing...

True Squat machine / Facing in 6 plates per side for intial warm up set - 1 rep, no sooner than I lowered the weight I felt my hip, the angle it pushed me back into pinched the tendon and I put it up immediately.

Dead Lifts with Fat Bar - 225x15, 325x10, 415x4, 325x10 - Man the beating on the leg press wrecked me for deads but then again I didn't intend to do deads today so they were a bonus. That thicker bar makes a HUGE difference on being able to hold the bar too.

Came home ate four lean 4 oz pork loin steaks with my hands , no fork involved. Primal Hunger!!! Then I had a 14 oz sweet potato w/ 2 tbls honey drizzled over it and some cinnamon. Getting ready to add 3 scoops of protein a banana, and glass of red wine to that then go to bed. The red wine is to chill me a bit from taking a preworkout after work... Not used to that at all.

Hopefully my hip doesn't hurt much I will put a thick coat of skelly balm on it and a bag of ice when I go to bed.

Great workout Kleen, or should I say King of the H2O Park. I reviewed the Iron Warrior/Kleen Machine, bro I cant wait to start logging this it looks AWESOME...Reps on progress page .doc as well very professional if I may say. I may have to tweak a few DB lifts due my gym lacking in heavy weight DBs (none above 75lbs), but I would like to keep it as true as possible to the original. Thanks again.

some serious work has been done in here!

how's the heat in TX, any better?

Nice deadlift! Especially on a fat bar that's sick. Hope that tendon feels better for you, very smart to rack it. I had pretty much the same encounter with my tricep in my left arm. That rundown of what you ate just made me real hungry LOL

Fat bar deads for 415, that will work the grip... with all the work I have been doing with wheel of death my core must be getting pretty strong so when I am past the contest I may add in deads again just to see how strong. I know it makes a difference with front squats.

damn, I didn't realize I'd been away for so long...was behind like 8 pages.some serious work has been done in here! how's the heat in TX, any better?
No it is hot as hell. Triple digits for the last 20 days or something like that. We have broken records because of it. Yesterday on my way home at 4pm there was a digit read out that said 111 degrees

I will hit some legs tonight at my other gym and have a little fun with the true squat machine.
Oh lawdy, I used to go to a gym that had one of those true squat machines.........that's a sadistic and brutal peice of equipment right there!!

I need heavier DB's than that just for curls..........no kidding. I'd find me another gym if I were you.

No problem, most important part for the exercises is to do similar planes of motion as what is listed. It took a lot of work, success, and failure to figure out the most synergistic way to ensure that each lift was hindered by a lift done previously in the workout. Several times I used different combinations and found that the muscles would be exhausted from one of the other lifts but with lots of effort and years of figuring it out I found great combinations for all 3 workouts. Now abs and calbves can be done on rest / cardio days, or added in afterwards.

Thanks for the compliment on the way it is written too. Some people see the work out on the paper and never read the text then keep asking me what is a T-Cup, what is this, how do I do that. I am like why did I send you the document? I could have just sent the spreadsheet if I wanted to explain it a bunch...

Is this an updated version Kleen? Or the same warrior one you have done in the past?
The mixed rep ranges I put in the workout I said I was going to do earlier in this thread is updated but the one I sent him is the same workout. Only difference with the new one is I took some time and changed rep schemes for each body part each workout. So it was not a constant barage of low reps heavy weight 3 times a week.
damn, I didn't realize I'd been away for so long...was behind like 8 pages.

We are averaging 102-103 this week, I think we are at 17 days in a row above 100 now. Every new day is a new record.

Nice deadlift! Especially on a fat bar that's sick. Hope that tendon feels better for you, very smart to rack it. I had pretty much the same encounter with my tricep in my left arm. That rundown of what you ate just made me real hungry LOL

Thanks! Yeah it was a pretty awesome feeding! The hip just needs some time it is a tendon I at least know that much for sure now. Keeping my legs close together really helps and gets my quads so much more anyway. So will be careful with it. My squats and what not may have to be a little shallow until it is feeling better but that is okay. I really enjoyed the punishment of the 20 rep leg press. My quads had a pump like I can't remember having in quite some time.

Fat bar deads for 415, that will work the grip... with all the work I have been doing with wheel of death my core must be getting pretty strong so when I am past the contest I may add in deads again just to see how strong. I know it makes a difference with front squats.
I would think so. I doubt people who don't do them realize how much the erectors are used to stabilize the WOD.

Yeah it is ridiculous isn't it Jeff. At least it isn't humid too. Although I wish we would get a nice moderate wind, tons of rain tropical storm or something around here. Houston water reservoir dropped over a foot since the beginning of August alone...

Oh lawdy, I used to go to a gym that had one of those true squat machines.........that's a sadistic and brutal peice of equipment right there!!
Yeah they are and unfortunately I couldn't play. Sat me back down into it to much and pinched the tendon in my hip. Doing more hip thrusts today as prescribed by Dr. Thunder!
I need heavier DB's than that just for curls..........no kidding. I'd find me another gym if I were you.

Yeah 75's is low, well not for curls for most of us, but benching and what not. Maybe some good bands added to them if no other gym options.

I wish TG not much around here unless I want to drive 45mins.

Does your gym not have some olympic dumbell bars and clips? You can put 25lb. olympic plates on them.....up to 150 or maybe even 200lbs each.

If your gym doesn't have some, you may want to go buy a pair...........pretty cheap at Wal-Mart, bro.

Just trying to help.......

Yeah you would. They are indeed quite cheap and you will get more stabilzer work with them because of the longer ends. I notice the equal weight at the gym never feels as heavy as it does in my garage with those beasts.

Yeah... You'll be "Hanging Tough" Like The New Kids on the Block!

Damnit... I hate when this happens!!!

LMAO!!!! Awesome!

So I just got in from taking a walk at lunch a little bit ago and it is nice and hot out there. Just needed to get out of the office so a brisk walk in the 103 degree Texas sun. Stirred up quite a sweat and now I am about to start eating for the day. I got these peaches at SAM's and OMFG they are so good! You have to automatically start slurping when you bite into them because they are so juicy that breaking the skin cause the juice to just run out. I am about to bust into one of those and then start my onslaught of protein, fat and carb consumption. Not sure I may eat a little more today or extend eating hours by an hour or two for some social activity tonight. I will try not to go overboard so my final pics come out looking good. However i don't exactly want to be flat for them tomorrow either so some more carbs than a normal burn day need to be had. I will probably get in around 2200-2500 today somewhere in between a burn and build day for me.

Okay gonna puke up that peach now... LOL Damn it man I can't shake that visual. HELP!

Okay that is better.

Leave it to you Chris, I could probably say any word in the dictionary and you could find a related video of a Girl Shaking her A$$!!! LoL

I had to do something. i thought I was going to be limited to the Tank Girl video but then saw that under it and was like HEY even better to get my mind off of Nicolas Cage saying anything sexual especially about a peach after I just ate one. LOL

Well, typicall I will go into a long diatribe about how this PCT has gone for me however at this point I am gonig to keep things a bit short and sweet as think or hope most of you have been following along.

Within a week os starting the PCT Revolution Black and PURE TEST I notice and increase in libido and aggression. Alpha Male feelings climbed rapidly and I noticed an increase in the size of my testicles rather quicly. I was relatively shut down due having been on something for 10 weeks total. So it was surprising to see signs of recovery so soon into the PCT. My joints did dry out a bit from the Arimistane in PCT Rev Black, this product is no joke and is a very strong AI. Within a week of stopping the 1- Andro my weight dropped about 6 lbs however the only measurements that went down worthy of note was my waist. There were some very minor changes in other areas but I also looked leaner. Here we are at 4 weeks out and I am looking good. Leaner, and look to be holding as much muscle at least to me. The tail of the tapes pretty much keeps that all in line. You can refer to the measurements listed a few posts back. Strength has maintained or increased during PCT which is good and I have gotten a little leaner during PCT even though not trying. As I mentioned libido has skyrocketed, I have some extra pimples and most importantly I have that positive and healthy feeling back with lots of motivation, and overall well being is better now. My testicles are much larger and firmer and at risk of embarrassing myself I have even had an few nocturnal emissions due to the increased libido and production. If test isn't up nice and high for natural levels I can't imagine what else could cause that. I will say it is a first in PCT. So I say FUGGIN GOOD JOB with the new revision of PCT Revolution. I feel amazing and fully recovered. Hell Like a teenager with a middle ages mans joints...

Summary - VERY IMPRESSED with this combo for a PCT when reasonably shut down. If you take something that doesn't require a SERM followup then I would definitely recommend the combo to get your test levels back up and maybe beyond what they were precycle. Would also make for a killer natural test boosting stack.

I think this last set of pictures speaks for itself. I am very please considering I did basically no cardio during PCT, held most of my muscle and still came out both leaner AND stronger on the other end.
