part of problem when people go through comparisons of which diet is healthy for longentivity they alway bring up the animal species for comparison. For instance someone previously brought up lions and horses that were brought up in the video. What we have got to remeber is that one thing that seems to be looked over is sometimes its not the food it what we do to it before we eat it thats the problem or can be part of the problem. for instance the the chemical additives we add to meat or the fact that we even cook our meats. Wild lions dont have to worry about pesticides ors cooking their food. They get their food as fresh as you can get it, just something to think about.

P.S. we also might want to think about what species seems to have the longest lifesspan.

Frick.. hunt your food, fill your freezer with organic, free range chemical free meat and live happy. I would not wish to live in meat free world.

The fact remains that God himself said it was ok to eat animals. In the OT.
Genesis 6:3-7

God's chosen people ate meat and sacrificed with it. There is no arguing there.

Yes. God did say that but did you see the reason. Read the whole thing than understand it.

You say modern christians go off only the new testament yet thats only half the story. Its like starting at chapter 5 in a book. You can't do that. You have to start from the beggining. Its not MY BIBLE. It is any ones bible that believes in GOD. I am just mearly point out a few facts about the vegetarians that lived long time ago. I can tell you this. My vegetarian patients are less sick than my meat eating patients. Now are they more health concencious? Not any more than my meat eaters.

but you are basing your understanding of it based on what other men have stated, rather than the word of god as it is in the bible. I don't care what talmudic scholars say about why they think god may have said something as no man can understand the mind of god.

That doesn't mean anything, there might be other factors that make them sick.. diet is not the only thing that can make you sick, so throw that out of the discussion. Here is something I stumbled across online..

I also want to add that people all over the world have eaten different things for millions of years and survived. I believe in evolution, and in that we have seen changes in human bodies like smaller jaws because of eating more meat, as opposed to plants (reason we do not need our wisdom teeth). We also know that in order to catch meat you must be physically skilled that may be the reason for eating plants is because some days you just couldn't kill a zebra with your ****in spear... lol.... so they ate what they could... I believe meat to be a treat so to speak -- you eat it when you can get it.. and if you can get it why wouldn't you eat it???????? Enlighting I know....

Again I agree with easy lol. Although we can get to know his personality from the bible itself. He loves us and doesn't want to poison us so he wouldn't say it's ok if it did. He made rules for the Jews for everything from crapping away from camp to stay sanitary to not eating certain animals that can get you sick if they are undercooked ETC. If it was really bad for you to eat meat then he wouldn't have set guidelines for it. I highly doubt that your vegetarian friends/patients whatever are any healthier than the ones I know who are sickly and at best have average health.

ive read perfectly legitimate studies indicating an increase in bone mass resulting from high protien; again, who gives a rip about the theoretical loss of calcium from high protein, as excessive amounts of calcium can be found in whey protein.

i personally dont buy the lion arguement, even though its interesting to discuss it; if we were genetically herbavores we would only have molers for teeth, but we have incisors. also, predatory animals have eyes set in the center like us, while prey have eyes on the sides of their head (to look out for predators). i agree with any vegetarian that disgusting things happen to our meat in processing, but i always make it a point to warn about the vegetarian lifestyle (nutritionally speaking) because the ill effects are gradual and people dont realise they date back to when they started ommiting food groups. i tried it and it was vastly inferior, though i will make allowance for a certain type of person that produces so much extra blood they need regular transfusions; THAT person is a natural vegetarian pretty much. ive listed the pitfalls of vegetarianism below:

1. vegetable iron is inferior, being 0-15% absorbable, whereas meat (heme) iron is 45% absorbed
2. vegetarians are typically low in zinc; though it is abundant in vegetables, it is often bound up in phylates and thus rendered useless
3. no b12
4. vegetarian proteins are incomplete; for example, grains lack lysine; this is why responsible vegetarians have to mix beans with grains. why is it necessary to do them together? because the essential aminos form a link to make protein; ifone is missing the link aint formed, so your protein synthesis depends on everything being there
5. extremely low amino acid count in all vegetable and nut sources: people boost about, say, peanuts being high in protein; a thats true, but we dont build protein from protein; we build it from amino acids while we discard the protein. 40g of peanut protein vs 40g of mean protein reveals an amino acid content that is 1/10th of the meat amino content. when someone tries to tell you that you only need 40g of protein a day, he assumes youre a sedantic person and he doesnt care about how much more jacked you could be if you had more protein resources, and he certainly hasnt delved into the exciting realm of boosting hormones using them (ex: glutamine supplements can raise gh 500%, but most docs assume your levels are just going to drop at 30. they dont have to drop, but you arent considered unhealthy if they do>) i would challenge the idea that i dont need more protein by positing the awesome benefits myself and other derive from high protein and amino acid supplements.
6. omega threes arent in vegetarian diet; sure you can eat flax, but that isnt the endchain form of the omega 3. your body would have to convert as much of it as it can, usually under 15%. same with the omegas added to eggs (from flaxseed). go long enough without thosse omegas and the brains going to shrink
7. carnitine is only found in meats, and people tend to be low in this stuff as it is
8. vegetarianism, done properly with a host of supplements, is still a pain in the butt washing veggies that go bad on you all the time

Well now that we know Which amino Acid is key to growth (leucine) do we really need to get leucine from meat. I get it in soy shakes, nuts and amaranth quinoa . I want to be big but don't want to crock over too lol. If I had to pick my posion I'd rather live long vs live big and die.

Well at 5'5" and 140 lbs, you're not in danger of "living big" any time soon. Just sayin...

3 pages of a good laugh.

To the poster who said its the additives, you are correct. Nitrites and ammonia are common "preservative" in non organic meat. Ummm...

I'm tired of all these skinny weaklings telling me what is healthy. Until someone talks about a healthy diet and they are built like Arnold was back in his body building days, I will not be listening.

That's a very immature and naive perspective.

If one is not massive then they don't know anything?

No, my point was the guy was talking about not exceeding 40 grams of protein, obviously this is not an option for our life style. All these guys that talk about what we should eat are usually a. very skinny, b. say we should not have saturated fat even though some is needed for testosterone and c. say we are getting too much protein and d. this is not always the case, but a lot use the BMI scale, which we all know is a bs system. Ironically I have heard women that seem pretty legit when they talk about health and address the body building life style, but usually the men talking about health are as stated above.

I typed in "raw vegan bodybuilding" on YOU TUBE and found some pretty muscular dudes on there. Not huge but impressive physiques none the less.
