EPI/V, PCT Revolution Black Contest Prep!! Watch an Old Fugger Cheat Time!!!

I really want to do some Yoga but hard to find a class at my gym at a time I can go. When I worked for another company they gym there had a Pilates class, not one with the pilates machine but a true pilates as it was originally designed. I loved it! Would love to do some yoga for sure. I bet you will definitely get hurt less often.

It does depend on the Yoga Class my friend! When I was a member of LifeTime Fitness they had like 3 different levels, and the level-1 (beginner) was free, the higher up levels and "Hot-Yoga" all cost $$$ per session or you could buy packages, etc. Anyway, I did the FREE level-1 (beginner) for like 6 mos. and it was cool at first, but it was the same thing over and over and over and I honestly was not getting more flexible, I'm sure my core was getting stronger because for the last 2-3 mos. I was able to hold some of the harder poses for the full length of time without falling over or losing my balance, etc, but there are other ways to strengthen your core and get more out of it in less time than spending a whole hour in that beginner Yoga class, now, I'm sure some of the more advanced or specialized YOGA classes are a completely different story, only speaking from my experience with the very, very basic supposedly designed for everyone kind of Yoga class!

I too was a Lifetime member once... I will save you all my thoughts on that racket. As for the yoga, I am sure all of us can benefit as we all don't stretch enough and it would actually allow for better recovery and growth if done enough. I always believe muscles that are looser to start and warmer will get a better contraction and ergo grow more. Whether or not that is true I don't know but it makes sense in my head, what do you think Al? Learn anything like that in Chiro school?

Of course, I completely agree, which is the whole reason why I started taking that Yoga class and stuck with it for 6 months. I would personally love to see a 20-30 minute stretch class where they pair you up and you and a partner do stretching exercises after warming up the body of course, but that would be good for pre or post workouts, not sure if a lot of guys would participate with the whole "Homo-phobia" thing, but I would love to have a workout partner willing to help one another in stretching pre & post workout for health, flexibility, & recovery, would be awesome in my opinion!

1 minute or less for the most part but when things get heavy sometimes I take a bit more time.

Front squats 195 X 15 X 195 X 14 I pulled my groin on the first set but I just made my stance less wide and did not point my toes outward. I was going very deep and re injured my groin but it does not seem really serious
Incline db press 80 X 15 75 X 12 only other place that reps were missed.
Lat pulldown 130 X 15 X 2 owned it..
Bent over row supine grip 145 X 15 X 2 killed it
Push Press 115 X 15 X 2 destroyed it
Decline tri extension 90 X 15 X 2 no problem
Obar curls 110 X 15 X 2 even stronger than 105 was..
Calf raise 115 X 15 X 2 no issues

Bar of death only 10 reps, it's hard to do with an injured groin when you're extending all the way out.

Full ab workout after that...

I am looking leaner and bigger it seems, like I said new striations in my lower obliques, deep ones in my shoulder and I look big....

Talk about some strength good god. Very nice workout.

Yoga is awesome for the body and the mind. I uses it for quite a while to rehab a back injury. I miss it. I really wish I could make the time to get back into it.

Man I am going where very few fifty year olds have gone before and it's not that fuggin difficult. With lean gains I have slain my biggest dragon and these supps have got to be pretty amazing as well. .

agreed. Is this is the best you've ever looked physique wise?

Doug, be careful here, I was doing great with the new lifting and started heading back into my deeper ROMS again and now my hip has been hurting a bit. I think from going too deep on the leg press with a bunch of weight. I am having to really take a moment and revisit my plan for shorter ROM since it was working wonderfully until I started to slip back into old habits and thinking deeper. My ortho said better to think not so deep and just go a little heavier with shorter safer ROM.

Good to hear about the continuing changes.

Yes I have changed my stance to go more narrow and don't point my toes outward as much which takes the preasure off the groin and I am still getting a good range.

Yah my yoga place is next door to my condo so... no excuse I should have started a long time ago...

Yah I am taking both a beginner and intermediate class just to get in 2 times a week. I am ok in the intermediate because of my conditioning...

Yes more flexible muscle does give better contraction this I know for sure as stretching is a big part of preparation for a show for this very fact and I have seen it work. This forces me to do all the stretching I need to do, plus it's very relaxing, which is also good for recovery...

Talk about some strength good god. Very nice workout.

Thanks I can't lift like I used to but I have some power left. It's my joints I have to watch out for. Every time I get really heavy I get problems, so I have to back off. Remember I have been doing this for 25 year off and on, mostly on.

agreed. Is this is the best you've ever looked physique wise?

Yes beyond a shadow of a doubt now that I see myself more dried out, my last pics I was very watery so a lot didn't show but I have lost close to a percentage and a half since that and am drier. I am seeing striations I have never seem before on me.

Decent day, fist day of 10 reps so it's a bit of a break really as most of the exercises I start out with the same weight I was doing 15's on.

Front squats 195 X 10 X 2 adjustment was made to go more narrow and still able to get a nice range, I was pleased.
Incline db press 70 X 10 X 2 have to start lower as this exercise gets tough for me at around 100's for 5's.
Lat pulldown 135 X 10 X 2
Bent over row supine grip 145 X 10 X 2
Push Press 115 X 10 X 2
Decline tri extension 90 X 10 X 2
Obar curls 115 X 10 X 2
Calf raise 115 X 10 X 2

15 wheel of death, I tried for 16 and fell flat on my face...15 is one hell of an accomplishment though. Especially considering I am almost 6 feet.

I noticed that I am a bit wider in the lats and in the shoulders so when I weighed in I was thinking maybe I did hold my weight which is what I was hoping for to confirm what I was seeing in the mirror and yep I was actually up about .25 lbs. Just the what I wanted to see. I see no reasons to make any adjustments but as soon as I stop seeing results I will be all over it.

Diet yesterday

12 oz chicken Breast
1 breaded veal cutlet
3 cups salad greens
2 Oranges
Mixed Vegtables Brocolli Carrots

3 scoops whey after workout

6 oz chicken breast
4 Turkey sausages
8 egg whites
4 cups frozen yogurt

About 5.75... should be below 6, If I was 7% at my last pics...

Nothing short of Amazing Doug... You have definitely earned it my Brotha, one hard-working "Old Fugger" I'll give ya that!!!

Thanks, all seems to be going according to plan. I am ready to make adjustments but there just doesn't seem to be any need.

I love that things are going so well for you Doug. I can't wait to see the next set of pics.

I 2nd this!!!

4nd,really amazing stuff here dream

I am also pretty excited and I don't usually got too excited about pics. I am seeing more definition today than yesterday in my mid section. I am going to check my weight again tonight. Looks like I lost some more... these are basically the changes I was expecting over the weekend to keep me on the same calories but they seem to have come early.

Dang Doug, it will be impressive to see you below 6%! I imagine if you can get to 4% it will be something that is hard to beat in any contest.

Excellent work DW, very inspirational!

Definitely in to see the improvements!

As lean as you were in the last pics if you have made a good amount of progress then you must be right at or below 6 for sure. The changes from 7-6, 6-5, 5-4 are severe with each percent dropped once that low.

Yah that's what I am basing it on, and you're so right about the changes when you get down. A quarter of a percent it as shocking change...

Agreed, when you are lean, the smallest drop can make the biggest differences in appearance!

Yah for example this morning I noticed some nice changes but realistically how much could I have lost in a day, probabley around a tenth of a percentage?

Sounds about right.

Another decent workout day 2 of 10's so not that taxing, again I make up for it by slowing down my reps and holding my contractions..

Front squats 205 X 10 X 2
Incline db press 75 X 10 X 2
Lat pulldown 140 X 10 X 2
Bent over row supine grip 150 X 10 X 2
Push Press 120 X 10 X 2
Decline tri extension 95 X 10 X 2
Obar curls 120 X 10 X 2
Calf raise 120 X 10 X 2

Then 3 supersets of leg curl and stiff legged deads for extra work on hams

I was looking a bit bigger so I didn't know what to expect on the weigh in I held my weight while getting a bit leaner so the mirror didn't lie... 200 and 4% is looking more feasible but I may have the opportunity to go even lower and I will take it if the opportunity presents itself. I plan to hit 4% when I finish the PCT which will bring me 4 weeks out and an apportunity to cruise lower.

Pics are a go on Saturday at the gym if they allow it. I may insist lol... or not tell them...it's pretty quiet in there Saturday morning...

Things are looking awesome in here DW! Looks like things are right on track for you to become one big lean old fugger!! Keep up the great work!

By a country mile the easiest prep I have ever done, although I will admit I get a bit winded sometimes and slightly lower energy just lately due to my unfamiliarity with lower body fat but it hardly registers... I think this is thanks to the EPI-V... we'll see how things go during PCT. I am pretty extactic so far though..

Oh and once I am done HST I have 6 weeks of muscle overload type routines so things will get tough...

Had to share this pic of Ericka what a masterpiece, I'm real proud of her, like I said my girls are beautiful inside and out and they have becomre very close friends of me and my wife...

Man oh Man 10K walking, full body workout 3rd day of 10's (slayed it!!) Photo session posing killed me, 15 bar of death and full ab workout, 45 minutes cardio. Still have not broken my fast!! Lots of pics coming, maybe not as good as I'd hoped but who knows, had a hard time posing after my workout. Some shots will be very good though...

I am fuggin trashed!! but I feel good!

Cant wait to see them Doug!

Fasting longer today an then gonna get my meat on... Le Milsa!! whoo hoo!!

Nice! I am about to go do my Deads in the garage here in a few. Then it is feedbag time! WooHoo! Enjoy your Sunday!

Still no sign of my pics, if they are not here tomorrow I will have to to start buggin her to get them done.

I went a bit nuts on Sunday night so on Monday I was down to 1600 calories to make up for it. Today's a workout day so I will go back up to 3200-3400...Did yoga again last night, I'm getting a bit better.

Shoulder is in pretty rough shape and it's the pullups for sure. I can either try narrower or give them up. Have to widen out my lats somehow...

There is no reason you can't do lat pulldowns with a wide grip, it is very close to a pull up. I do them as it is easier on my rotator cuff than straight pull ups as well.

Is it me or does she totally look topless in that picture??? Must be the EndoSurge!

I do pulldowns but they just don't get the job done for me. Straight arm pulldowns work ok though maybe I'll try those...

Sort of looks like it, really not her style though....

Do you have one of those nautilus pull over machines? Those will do it just only go up to about 45 degrees instead of all the way up over the head. Same as straight arm pull down but you can use more weight.

I don't think we do but I'll have a look. I don't pay much attention to what machines we have so I may have missed it...

Massive pumpage in the gym last night it was day 4 of 10's so it's starting to feel a bit heavy now. I am definitely looking bigger and leaner, most people just seeing the leaner look but I have noticed some widening...

So weigh in was going to be interesting, I dropped 1/2 a pound down to 203.5 but like I said size does seem to be increasing.

The owners of my yoga place are now talking about coming to train with me and making a deal for free yoga. They are very impressed with what I have been able to accomplish and are anxious to get back into it. There is one girl there with the most incredible genetics I have ever seen. She's never lifted but what a physique.
