There's no food in there!!!! It's all bottles.

You could always moonlight as a stripper in Champaign. That is one wild a$$ city. At least it use to be. I spent 6 months there, a long long time ago.

Watch the behind the neck bud bad for the rotator cuffs.

I thought all barbell presses stress the rotator cuffs what makes these any worse? I've only done behind the necks the last two weeks and liked them a lot, lol I can't do much weight tho... Did you have a back experience with them? I was just trying to shock my delts but don't wanna fck my shoulders up!!

I am sure arguments can be made for both sides. If you are going to continue that path I would suggest you look into the "7 minute rotator cuff solution" for your routine. I can email you a version in PDF if you want. It is 100+ pages and I just got my hands on a copy recently online. If interested PM me a EMAIL addy and I'll send it to you .

Eh.. you shouldn't believe everything you read online. They are fine IMO as long as they are done with proper form. Hell Doug Hepurn was able to press 350-pound behind the neck!

An overhead press will work the deltoids, traps and triceps all at once. Sure you could isolate those muscles but why? Only valid reason would be if you had a muscular imbalance. (I am a firm believer in compound lifts and see isolation not only pointless but dangerous if you arent lifting to compete they just arent needed unless you have an imbalance)

Infact many strength coaches will have an athlete perform a behind the neck to demonstrate healthy shoulder function. The ratio of the behind-the-neck press weight to the bench press weight is sometimes used as a predictor of shoulder health.

Only thing I would suggest to check before making the behind the neck press a regular in a routine is for tight subscapularis (rotator cuff involved in internal rotations) and a weak infraspinatus (also refereed to as the rotary cuff but this controls external rotation)

The bench press will have more of a chance fuking your shoulders up IMO due to it shortening the subscapularis muscle, plus it also puts pressure on the shoulder joint.

Maybe I wouldnt suggest you use it as an max effort lift (90% 1RM) but its fine to throw into your workout once in a while especially if your using a weight you can do higher reps with. If you are doing them fine now with no discomfort staked then I would continue.

The only risk I can see for injury from it would be from shoulder impingement of the tendon but if they are a once in a while thing and you experience no pain from them nor are using excessive heavy weight then rock on I say just make sure you spend extra time during your warmup and cool down focused on your shoulders and maybe through in a day or two of prehab work on them for off days.

P.S. Is that email offer open to me? I would love to give that a read

Make stacked cop drunk and full :)

Thanks judo for your thoughts I too think behind the neck presses are fine. My training partner does 315 for sets of ten but he's a freak lol. HOWEVER, the last week when I did these for the first time I started at 135 and dropped down to 95 pounds just to get my form perfect and to make sure I was isolating my delts. I'll give behind the neck presses a break next week... I was always told these were bad for me and that's why I stayed away from them for so long... But my training partner is a beast and he does them every week lol so I had to give em a shot and I loved em :)

It is a hit or miss movement, I mean with some genitics will play a big role and make them more prone to injuries and some will be able to do them flawlessly but I believe for the majority of people they have either injured there shoulder before or lack the strength and flexibility in their rotator cuff and once those are adressed then the movement can be done fine. People have to remember lifting a barbell and working out isnt a natural movement really and everything may lead to injuries, especially with heavy weight. Its all about developing your strength, flexibility, mobility, and muscular balance. If those are all on point then anything could be done. People hurt their shoulders all the time on bench presses or their back while deadlifting but almost 9 times out of 10 I would chalk it up to bad form or too much weight.

Delicious meal BTW :food:

P.S Men dont drink fruity colored drinks.. sack up you pansy !!!

oh shizz, when u starting the mystery PES product? and u logging it on this link? or another one

I was told the same thing about behind the neck pull downs, but I've never had a problem with it. More than likely, it's people's egos that get them injured, trying to lift more than they are ready for. My DB shoulder presses could be classified as behind the neck. I tend to keep them back because my front shoulders take enough abuse on incline DB presses.

Agreed on forma nd many of your statements above. Impingement is a large concerns of course. I think anyone should minimally take care of their rotator cuffs (Yes JJ I will email you the file as well if you wish) PM me your email addy and i will send.

I have found most behind neck exercises awkward. I have to push my head forward so beyond the strain on the shoulders it also puts my neck into a odd position asking to result in a strain...I know I get told my head it large but come on!

what are you taking now????

test prop :yup:

Hey man, I'm gonna go ahead and order, should I grab 2 bottles of Ecdy, 3 per day for 60days or should I start off with 1 bottle?:) thanks bro

In all honesty I am LOVING the I force ecdymorph. However, I've received a few PMs from some of my fellow ecdy believers stating they're not enjoying as much as other ecdy they've used. With that being the case I would still get a bottle to try and see how it work with your body. You can always get more. I'm not trying to discourage you I just don't wanna see you buy 2 bottles and the stuff doesn't treat you the same as it does me.

Btw I also know people that are getting the same effects as me so give it a shot but only buy one.

Ecdy helps but bottom line you gotta eat the right food man. I eat 400 grams protein everyday 6-7 meals and I eat every 3-4 hours with 5 grams bcaa 2 hours after all meals. I'm also taking in 10-20 carbs with those 5 grams bcaa. If you want more info on the whole diet bcaa deal google layne norton bcaa

Not trying to talk to you like you don't know how to eat lol sorry

I eat around 300g of protein each day. 6-7 times a day. Every 2.5-3 hours. At the moment I'm carb cycling to lean out and its working like a charm:)

If you want to do the bcaa protocol spread the meals a little further apart. It's really working good for me and I'll never to back to eating every 2 hours!

I probably should spread them a bit more. Problem is, I always wake up way late on weekends:p so my eating protocols get all jacked.
