I used to play games a lot when the first PS1 came out, but stopped playing for a long time and just got an xbox360 last month, so with a poor gaming background I only have a few lol

damn how did I miss twisted metal def a classic
 
O man the original Metal Gear on the PS changed my life!!! Sons of the Patriots is good, just don't like Snake being old.

I gotta lotta faves but anything absurdly violent (manhunt) or the WWII shooters (any!) are good.

The original Red Dead Revolver and the new Redemption are good....just got undead nightmare and not too sure about it yet.

Old old school is Pit Fighter on the Sega Genesis, and the game you went from wimpy to heyooge to a werewolf or dragon. WTF was that one called? From late 80's, anyway!!

Secret of Evermore
LoZ: Ocarina of Time
Castlevania: SoTN
FF VI


Today's games are nothing compared to pre-2002 games. Once PS2 came out, the overall level really dropped off in favor of a more visual experience. There are still some great games, but not nearly as many as there should be considering the amount of money in the industry.

****, Final Fantasy XII was LONG AS ****! But fun!

I'd have to add Final Fantasy VIII as my favorite, but I have to throw back to super-duper old school with Commander Keen and Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure! Grew up with those games on the old 286 IBM PC!

Recently, my favorites have been:

Gears of War franchise
Killzone franchise
Fallout franchise
Elder Scrolls: Oblivion
Mass Effect franchise
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon franchise - especially Advanced Warfighter (second is out soon!)
Bioshock I and II. (Amazing games.)
 
I definitely have to agree on Bioshock 1. Bioshock 2 was cool, but not as good as 1, in my opinion! I was also real big on Starcraft and Diablo I & II (hence my screenname)! I really wish my PC could run Starcraft II!
 
X2 on Streets of Rage!

Like just about everything named so far but I saw no one mentioned Aladdin for Super Nintendo.
 
on the pc Vampire: The Masquerade – Redemption was fantastic. On the 360, Lost Planet was quite fun beyond all the others.

damn I forgot about the turbo controller.anyone remember the gun for the nes and the floor pad for the track game for the nes.**** was ground breaking back in the day.
