1 C Basmati rice
Sriracha sauce
1/2C applesauce

My partner made me stop at potbellys (sandwich joint) he went in and must have shook em down or something cause he came back with 5 egg and ham sandwiches on wheat... Man they were good!

just killed off a lb of leftover thanksgiving turkey that was sitting in the freezer.

well ****. i just let one rip and it smelled like someone died in here. glad i have an office and not a cubicle.

and 2 cans of tuna. I wish I had a kitchen to use at work.

yo man ive been meaning to ask you something. so my bjj teacher and the main muay thai guy have been saying that my striking is getting better and better and that i should do an amateur fight soon. right now ive leaned out to like 175, best shape ive ever been for grappling tournaments. how do you do the diet in terms of mma? limit the carbs and get as lean and mean as possible? this isnt gonna happen for a while but i want to decide how im gonna eat until then. right now its been all paleo with red potatoes Post WO.

I'm not a huge fan of dieting down for any competition. I'll do a carb rotation depending on activity, but I never limit myself to only a certain amount of calories. I also like to stay relatively close to my cutting weight year-round so all that I have to worry about is my conditioning. It's hard enough to train properly and adding the weight equation is often too much for most.

yea i dont want to diet down or cut weight really. i just want to have a perfect balance of speed and strength. right now at 175 im super fast and dense but just not as strong as i was 10 pounds ago. i guess in amateur mma i should be ok with my natural weight? or is there gonna be a ton of cup spitting cracker eating wrestlers dropping ungodly amounts of weight?

There's probably going to be a wrestler there, but don't cut a lot of weight for your first fight. If your contracted weight is 170, then don't cut above 178 or so and remember to taper off ~10 days prior to your competition.
 
The problem was not enough intake through the day. Sometimes when I don't eat enough through the day it forces me to binge later that night. It was suppose to be a low calorie, low carb day. lol.

1sc. whey
28g skim shredded cheese
227g Chobani Greek yogurt
1/4c organic granola

I'm stuffed...
 
1/2C mushrooms
1C broccoli
1 TBS EVCO
6 oz chicken
3 oz beef sausage
1C Basmati rice

Mixed with lime juice, chicken broth, fish sauce, Sriracha, and garlic. Yummy stir-fry.

I hope that's a joke. You can cut seven lbs if you salt load today and deplete starting tomorrow night.

hahaha of course a joke, i couldnt imagine not eating. i dont usually eat salt or salty things, even butter. so what am i doing, eating salty today and cut all that tommorow? or deplete water? not sure what im doing here

Well, you take in a boatload of salt and water today. I don't like to go longer than possible without water, so I don't cut that out until the day of weigh-ins. When are your weigh-ins?

No time limit? That is pretty damn weird.

I'd say cut out water consumption at about 5 PM. Do some light cardio that evening and eat some fruits that are mainly water to somewhat trick your body and so your mouth isn't too dry. I usually take about 6 or so pieces of cantaloupe or pineapple with me to cut in case I crash or my mouth gets too dry.

see the issue is that this thing is gonna go on all day. i wont have time to eat/digest a meal after weigh ins because the tourney starts right away, so i cant dry myself out too much. i also think blue belts go last so im gonna sit there all hungry. or wait, you mean i can eat dinner and breakfast just no fluids? thanks for the help bro, i dont wanna get stuck with 189.9 -ers again especially because im lighter now.

You can eat lightly throughout Friday, but you'll have to wait until weigh-in is over on Saturday to really eat.

weighed in at 174 after practice last night. we decided im just gonna go with the big boys. i dont do well if i dont eat a big breakfast and i might as well get experience in a bigger weight class. just gonna drill my spider guard to triangle tonight and its go time. teacher said to not even bother with sweeps because its a submission only tourney and ill waste energy in case i have back to back matches. i guess if there is an opening ill sweep because i can definitely take care of business from mount. thanks for help bro now i know what to do next time.
