1.5 grams Kre Alkalyn
BCAA's 4-1-1 (adde leucine)
70G Carbs (oatmeal, waxymaize, dextrose or Maltodextrin)
Vitamin C
 
I like the following PWO shake for bulking

2 Scoops Syntha6
2 Tblspn Peanut Butter
1 Banana
1/3 Cup of "Hot Cereal" high fiber oat mix with flax
2 Glasses of Whole Milk

This works out to around 1360 Calories. 120 Carbs. 65g Fat. 85g Protein. 27g Fiber.

Tastes great!
 
I chew a bunch of liver tabs into a powder and whash it down with a mixture of 1/2 cup yogert, l cup milk, 1 banana, 2/3 cup out flower, 1 scoop greens powder plus creatine and cissus.
 
This has been working really well for me the last few months. Has helped me lean out and recomp very nicely.

Postworkout = 20g glutamine immediately.
Then I take 50g of truetein protein powder (which is whey, egg, casein mix).

I stopped talking the standard 40-80g waxy , followed by whey. I know that either Poliquin or another top knowledge guru said that 20-30g glutamine replenishes just as well without the extra added carbs from waxy or dextrose, etc.

I think there should be a separation between performance and aesthetic replenishment as well because they're very different.
 
If I had to pick one, Whey protein(isolate...concentrate...mixes...). It's my staple post workout and it hasnt failed me yet. If I have extra cash I can add in glutamine, Luecine or BCAA's, vitamin C, creatine, etc.

But what seems to be a good staple for myself is whey after lifting then a whole meal 30-45 minutes after. Nothing fancy but it gets the job done. Extra BCAA's(high in leucine) and glutamine increase recovery nicely.

Ideally, ill take glycobol towards the end of my lift(10-15 minutes remaining) 4:1:1 Bcaa's, glutamine, vitamin C and a quick carb source be it a fruit(banana preferably) or some simple sugar drink(gatorade or powerade) immediately after lifting. 5-10 minutes later once my body has cooled down, 30-50 grams of Whey(in whatever form except casein). 30-45 minutes after the shake eat a full meal.

If i cant afford that(which is most of the time) I just use whey and food.
 
just simple for me as i am not bulking up but actually losing weight with insanity:

35-40g 100% whey protein
1 medium sized banana
and/or half cup 2% milk
and/or blueberries
 
Unless I use a commercial product like Torrent, I don't worry about specifics much.
Scoop of whey, and a half dose of a gainer product for the carbs.
If I'm not heading right home after the gym, I'll just hit the quickie mart for a bottle of chocolate milk.

BUT! I really like to add caffeine. I've heard it helps the uptake of carbs. And I tend to get very sleepy after a workout, so the stimms help keep me awake.

BCAA+Glutamine+Dextrose (1:1:4 Ratio) immediately after. Antioxidants (w/ high dose of B Complex) + Liver Tabs + Protein/Carbs (1:1.5 ratio) 30 minutes after. A small balanced meal 60-75 minutes after.

jus curious few of you added liver protection ... why in post ? or yall just drol-in ? lol
 
I emntioned that I chewed liver tabs into a powder and washed it down with my shake, but those are pills containing actual cow liver. It's got protein and other minerals.

40-50 g whey isolate, 100 g pure karbolyn immediately after.
then eat 8 oz beef, sweet potato, and broccoli with in an hour of my workout.

Ive never taken carbs after training, sometimes i forget to even have a shake and Ive never noticed any difference...

Ive tried it all, nothing ever changed.. guess my body is set in it's ways!
 
Probably the cheapest, most cost-effective PWO is to do what a lot of major colleges seem to be going to....have a good amount of chocolate milk as your PWO drink. It has everything you need.....casein protein....simple sugars.
 
workout at night so by the time i get home, dinner is on the table....so dinner and 40g's of whey

saturday mornings i workout....40 grams of whey, and like 10 blue gummy sharks....as mentioned, if i can't get to a shake, i'll go with chocolate milk at the store

i found 30-40g of WMS is good dose .. that never upseted my stomach

nice post workout meal .. i luv me sum broccoli too :)

200g sweet potato w/ 7g pastured butter and cinnamon.

The best post workout recovery product I have tried is the PROGENEX recovery product. This stuff is a miracle product. Literally I can have the most intense workout of my life and be ready to train again the same day as long as I take the RECOVERY product within 10 minutes of finishing my workout.

Ends up being an aggregate 15g between stand-alone BCAAs, WPI content, and sometimes I will also use NO-Synthesize.

Also, I should mentioned I never... ever... consume my preworkout carb-laden meal without taking Need 2 Slin first as soon as I walk through the door on the way to the kitchen.
 
I am born and raised in St. Louis, and I wont even drink that piss water.

Then again, the 5 years I spent in Germany may have ruined me.

Same thing happened to my wife. She was a Bud Light girl before coming to visit me in Germany (Then not together), half way through the trip she found a place that served Bud, took one drink, from then on... Hefieweizen all the way.

Every once in awhile I find a local liquor store that sells those little pony kegs of BitBurger... those are a treat!
 
I can take the piss water on a night when im just looking to get drunk and quantity matters, but I cant stand the taste of any of the regular "American" beers. I am a huge craft beer guy. Nothing better than a well brewed beer.

Same here... St. Louis has a ton of local craft that are beautifully done. I specifically love Schlafly and O'Fallon brewery.
