MetroBadAss Ghenerates more size while sleeping like a baby..oh yeah teh

gotta have those bleh workouts too man. makes the awesome ones just that much better. glad to see you're still tearin it up regardless.

Seems to be "kicking in" :) How much cals are you eating per day btw? Upped them for GHenerate or staying the same?
Just wondered about the appetite..

//CC
Appetite is crazy high right now. I am aiming for lower carbs these days to lean out before my upcoming Micro cycle next year. It is VERY hard with hungry Ghen makes you. I do have some days where I "refeed" though and get a little wild. I'm amazed at how different your new avi is man. You looked like you were 160lbs in the other one. You look like a solid brick house in your new one. Keep killing it man.

you know that's quite profound man. Thanks for the pep talk. And you are right. Today will be a different story. I'm psyching myself up now. :yup:

War report soon!

Yeah I know what you mean, gotta have those wild days once in a while too ;) Can't wait to get my hands on GHenerate, if only the European suppliers would stock up fast :twak:
Thanx for the compliments man, you are making me blush :knockedout: (The link to my log is the last in my sig if you wanna check it out :))

He is completely right, even when your mind says yes, if your body needs the rest it will just refuse to give you the juice. You win regardless because you pushed through. Have a kick azz workout Met!

Thanks for the support fellas. The juice still wasn't completely there today. I'm gonna up cals a bit. I may have dropped them too much. I am looking leaner though. Nowhere near where I want to be but progress is progress. I also have to keep in mind that I am in the beginning weeks of my new blast. I'm not really excited in during those weeks because I have to feel everything out. After you figure out exactly what #s to do, you feel better and more confident knowing you ARE moving forward. Nah mean? Still, I had a good workout today. #s were good. Not as high as I want but like GMG, I am trying to focus more on perfect form and good mind/muscle connection so I have dropped the weight a bit to get more reps out and reteach myself.

Yesterday's workout -
BB curls - 120x5-5-4=14; decent but I'm going to stay here for a while until I get over my 20 reps
Seated hammers - 60x9..pause for about 5 seconds with weight on ground still in hands and hammer out 5 more = 14 total
stretch for 45 secs
Skipped calves - didn't have much time yesterday
Calve stretch for 60 secs each
Seated ham curls - didn't realize how different my #s would be here compared to laying leg curls. Ended on 150x5 and it didn't feel good. Will lower the weight maybe 10lbs next time for better mind/muscle connection.
Close stance smith squats - WOW. This weight on my back feels SOOOO much more different than it does with regular bb squats with more weight. At the risk of sounding like a b1tch, it hurt soooo bad! I would obviously man up and learn to fight the pain though. Ended on 240x6 reps with a really close stance.
Ham stretch for 60 seconds with 110lbs
Quad stretch for 60 secs

Today's workout -
Low incline db press - ended on 80x6-3-3=12; up 1 rep on second/third set than on medium setting
Stretched w/ 65's for 60 secs....:dead: talk about pain
Seated iso press - never liked this exercise but I did finally get into it today. I think I'll enjoy this one. Ended on 150x5-5-3=13 (just plate #s), will stay here til Im over 15.
stretch for 45 secs
Dips - (assisted)x6 then 3 reps, moved on to bodyweight + 10x 15-8-8=31; obviously I underestimate myself sometimes ;). Will tack on an extra 10lbs next time.
Forgot the tri stretch today.
Pullups - ended up with 45x3-3-2=8; this is down 3 reps from last time. I'm either up in weight (unlikely) or the drop in cals (very likely) have dropped my strength.
BB WIDE rows - ended on 215x5, drop to 135 VERY WIDE for 16 reps; Will up 10-15lbs next time to hit 12 reps
Lat hang/shrug for 60 secs with about 20 lat shrugs
*bonus prone rope pushdowns - 9x12, 13x12
*bonus WIDE iso press w/ 45's on each side for 25 reps

Chest looks like it was inflated with a tire pump :smite: yeahhhh....gonna rest up for 2 days and then go at it again with even more fury. Will up cals a hair and see where that takes me. Goal is to lean out though w/ maintaining or increasing strength. Giggity

Thanks Big! :D

Tyler, haha to the first pic but ewwwwww to the second :shutters:

That was after my cut :hump:

Sleep is starting to get MUCH better. Last night, I did not wake up once at all! I am very happy with this! Rest has been amazing. Something I am just now noticing which is weird is that I have not had any coffee in over a week. I normally cannot not have coffee in the morning. There is just no way for me to wake up and function. This past week and half I have gotten up and went about my day with ease. Tomorrow is squats so I look forward to seeing some good things happen. I am FINALLY noticing some hardening. Muscles are feeling fuller with even small amounts of carbs.

Man that is great! I was going to mention to you about those "bad" days, that it probably had to do with you recently cutting carbs way back. Your body goes through a transition period where it has to learn to predominantly burn fat for energy. After that strength will go up and fat will come off. Once your body is in full swing using fat for energy all day it will leave the little bit of carbs you are eating in the muscle stores for explosiveness only and run on fat the rest of the time. Until then your body goes into the muscle even during rest periods eating up the glycogen you need to remain full and explosive. It will get better and better the more efficient your body becomes using fat as energy which is really what it was made to do anyway.

Very encouraging man! Thanks! I remember a ways back when I was much much leaner and still making strength gains with low carbs. I guess I've forgotten what that was like. Do you have a rough estimate of how long the transition might take on average?

How many carbs are you taking in daily, Met? - I would say it will be a few weeks before your body really adapts to lipolysis, especially since you're not doing any keto-specific stuff.

So maybe I missed something, but you're training fasted now? Sorry, I haven't had time to keep up with the details of everything.

Carbs are now officially under 100g/day and slowly dropping. I'm staying there for a few days until I see how well my training goes with it. I am refeeding every 5 days.

Yes, I am training fasted now. :D

In my experience the average is between 2-3 weeks. It seems a little quicker the lower the carbs are however the transition is harder too. You can add in some grapefruit, and blueberries, both of them will help with the transition. Even though they have carbs although limited, they both tell your body to increase lipolosys. You do not have to be completely carb free for your body to burn fat as the primary source of energy. It naturally wants to go back to that because it is the way your body is designed.

Think of a lion, huge muscles everywhere, very explosive and lives off of meat and greens and perhaps occasional berries or whatever it scavenges on. By greens I mean the random grass and what not they injest to help aid in digestion. By the way that is the same reason you will see our dog or cat eating grass. Has an upset stomach, wants fiber due to constipation or trying to force itself to vomit the bad contents in its stomach. Even way way back in the day before mass civilization came about and people started farming grains and what not for convenience carbohydrate sources were limited to fruits and berries scavenged on during times of poor hunting.

If you plan to do carb refeeds and want the transition to go more quickly forego the first couple refeeds so the body doesn't tilt the energy axis back to carbs until the fat preference has become the new homeostasis. I honestly think no one should do a carb reffed the 1st 2 weeks of low carbing, it is detrimental to the transition in my opinion.

Great advice man. Thanks for helping me out with my diet. I feel in good hands.

I strongly agree with this.

I am definitely going to be taking his word for it and make some adjustments. I am celebrating my 1 year anniversary with the gf tonight and were going out for a fancy Italian dinner. YES, I will be getting steak and veggies :D

Ahhh man! Steak and veggies at an Italian joint. That's some dedication right there. I'd be chowing down on the Chicken Parmesan and bread dipped in olive oil!

I made reservations at a nice restaurant that she really has wanted to go to. Afterward's I am going to take her to this chocolate shop and this all happens to be on a street where that is very scenic. Lots of lights and water fountains and flowers. At dinner, I will be giving her some tickets for her and I to go see the Transsiberian Orchestra...followed by some at home giggitty :hump:

I hear Bells! :toofunny:...

I am super psyched to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra. I was watching some vids of it and it looks sick!

I ended up getting this really tasty stuff chicken with gorgonzolo cheese with some gorgonzolo sauce on top :food:. We had some kind of mushroom business for an appetizer and I took her to this chocolate shop afterward. She was very happy with everything. :D :hump: :hump:

On a side note, I have a horrible elbow pain. Not sure where it came from. Hoping it goes overnight so I can do some biceps tomorrow.

Rob is it on the inside or the outside of your arm?

HAHA!! That one's TOO easy....
haha wow I must have been really tired
Rob is it on the inside or the outside of your arm?

Its more on the outside. The pain has gone down a lot since last night. My knees also felt kinda dry today. I know Ghenerate has AI properties but I didnt think it was enough to dry out joints. I really dont know though :dunno:

Had an AMAZING workout today! Lowered the weight and really concentrated on form today. It was awesome.

#'s
Ez bar preacher curls
- I ended up on 110x5 and elbow just wasnt having it. Dropped to 100 for 7 reps. I decided not to rest pause this just for today to let my elbow rest. Still my bis were PUUUMPED!
Pinwheels
- 35x8, 65x12 reps; this just jacked my bis up even more! This is 5lbs up from last time.
Stretch for 45 secs
Standing calves - ended on 410x20
Stretched each calve for 60 secs
Really wide toes off top of sled press - ended on 10 plates for 10 reps. I know I could have done 12 for prob another good 6-8 reps but I already had done a lot of sets. Will adjust weights next time to move up. Hams felt amazing during this exercise. I think this is my favorite ham exercise now.
Bb squats - ended on 240x4; this is 2 reps less than last time BUT on all of my sets today I did ass to grass. It felt amazing! I was VERY surprised I was still able to do the same weight as I did for parallel. Dropped to 145x25 reps. Its been a very long time since doing widows, will def be working my way back up fast. I was widowing 185 last, I think.

Weight BEFORE training was 187. I am shocked. My weight on the scale is unchanged and this is with a drop in fat. So I'm recomping I guess. Giggity
