Irish Cannon Gets on AXIS...with AXIS (Hemodraulix + Kitchen Sink)

Lots going on this weekend. I have to go out to Pensacola again for class. I'm so tired right now and still have to get in my C2 workout with my buddy in an hour. We went to the pub last night and I had a Mushroom-Cheese Steak Burger with a Jameson double. Wasn't planning on that, but my buddy is going back to K-State tomorrow so I wanted to have a farewell dinner with him.

Just got in a great workout. Won't have time to update until later.

Met, I gave my buddy the last 8 caps of my 1st bottle of Hemo. Once he gets back home and tests it out, he's going to make an account on AM and post his mini-review up in here. I'm trying to spread the word about Hemo!

Awesome bro! Way to help out!

So have you decided on when you are going to use your second bottle?

Also everyone keeps there eyes open. There will be some sponsored Hemo logs up soon!

Not exactly. I'll have to decide over the weekend if I'm going to crack it open next week or not. I'd like to give a solid review of SFL, and if I keep taking Hemo with it, it may hinder me from doing so.

How about sending the bottle of hemo to your good ol' pal DW.

What is SFL. Smash Fully Loaded? Thats my guess. If so I pushed the crap out of it where i use to work. I had never taken Smash but the profile and price seemed unbeatable.

You know, now that I think about it.....I pushed a lot of axis labs stuff where I worked. Damn, I should start using some of it down the road then huh? lol

haha appreciate the pimpage DW!

My pleasure. We couldn't keep Smash or Adipo-X in stock to meet demands. So even tho I didn't use them the people must have been satisfied with the results. I mean you can look at a profile and tell if it has promise.

I would also like to point out we DID NOT carry Muscle Tech products and wouldn't even order them for people :D Very knowledgable staff we had ;)

hahah awesome

hahah nice

Gawd Beyonce is so hot

DC Day 6

So yesterday rounded out my rotation on DC, which I will repeat starting on Monday. I'm sitting in class on lunch break right now. All my friends went to Subway but I'm sitting here with my normal Meal 3 listening to some Cat Stevens, before he became a terrorist.

Yesterday was a great workout. I really enjoyed it. I even got in some BB Squats - 225x7 - my legs could easily handle the weight but the back was getting too engaged. I only did one set of those after the V-Squat. So here's what went down...

I'm really starting to feel the HGW kick in...or maybe it's just being surrounded by so many women that's doing it. :dunno:

I'll still think Beyonce is bangin

Fasted DC

I've got some good news and some bad news...

Good news: Fasted training is back with a bang! I was pouring with sweat this morning and it felts great. Strength was up and down - I couldn't really tell as I had to switch an exercise and use some different equipment, but my FW movements were up. I increased strength on my Dips by 10lbs and 1 rep.

Bad news: Messed up my back again, but in a different spot. I don't know if it is anything serious or not. It hurts right now, but it may just be a sprain or something like that. And get this; it happened on my LAST set. I was doing BB Shrugs and my back just basically collapsed. :dunno: - It's basically right in the middle of my back.

Other than that, the workout was great this morning.

I'll be putting up a review of Hemo pretty soon. I decided to hold off on the second bottle. I have, however, added in IGF-2. I'm currently taking 5 caps pre-workout on an empty stomach.

Damn sucks about the back man...I'd get it checked out before it gets worse.

Look forward to the Hemo review man! I'm even more interested in hearing how you feel when you come off of it.

Glad that you had an awesome workout! It's always the great workouts that screw you over though. LOL Hopefully your back heals up fine and isn't serious.

That's a very common thoracic strain (acromio/spino traps), I strain that middle area as a result of shrugs three or four times a year. I just did it again this weekend. It usually happens to me when I've over-taxed the whole scapular elevation thing with inappropriate rest. It could last as short as 3 days, up to 2 weeks, but the 2 weeks duration has only happened once.

I'm still comfortable doing pull ups when I get that mid back strain. It's only scapular elevation, delts, shrugs, deads, that I avoid for a couple of days, 3-4 depending.

In your case, the jacked up thing about "functional" back injuries, meaning you can still workout for the most part, is that you inadvertently place extra stress on other areas of your back (or wherever) in order to compensate for the prime back injury. That may have been your case.

Ahhh. I gotcha. Thanks for the diagnosis, Volcom! You're a huge help, man. Definitely put my mind at ease.

From what I remember, I've done this before, it just hurts more this time. Should I get someone to walk on my back? There's a pretty tiny chick in my class I can get to do it...There's also a couple fatties if it requires more weight. ;)

 I'd choose the fatty if I were you- They'll align your back faster than the smaller ones.

Last time I strained my middle back/neck, I went to the Mall and got one of those deep massages by them Asian dudes and their massage chairs. It was worth it. The more fobby they are, the less consideration they have for humane practices, meaning the deeper and more painful the massage, but the better for ya. However, generally, the mall dudes will take it fairly easy.

+1 When I go to China I always get a deep tissue massage. They are sooo frikin painful but when its over, you feel sooo good.

Oh, and dont read anything into the Chinese massage. They are completley innocent/profesional massages. None of that weird stuff.

Sam, is my back supposed to be hurting this bad from a sprain? I can hardly walk around right now.

Your middle back pain is effecting your walking? Or your original lower back pain?

Mild thoracic sprains usually show its pain when you twist your body to the left or right, turn your neck left, right or toward the front, and some seated positions, depending on the severity. Your middle back "could" hurt from walking around, but that would make it a pretty gangster strain.

Ya, I was really messed up this morning. I could barely move. Here's my day...

9am: Wake up

1030am: Finish breakfast

11am: Head to the ER

1pm: Saw a doctor

1:01pm: Doctor diagnosed me and gave me a crapload of prescriptions (including prednisone :wtf:)

1:02pm: I get really pissed off as the doctor has no idea what he's talking about

2pm: Go to the pub for lunch; Grilled chicken breast over mushrooms and peppers, some cottage cheese, and an Irish Red.

3pm: Burn time and money at Target

4:30pm: Saw a new chiro - I told him about both injuries. For the original lower back injury he told me that it's possible I have a bulging disc, but that there is no way of knowing for sure unless I had an MRI done. As for my new injury, he said pretty much exactly what Sam said, that it was due to me putting extra stress on other parts of my back. He did some work on me; electro things and rollers and adjustments...He thinks my pelvis is causing issues. He told me to call him if the pain gets worse.

I'm still kind of confused, annoyed, and frustrated.

Man IC, that realy blows. I know all too wel how it feels to have a back injury and not be able to lift. It takes a toll on you for sure.

But as cliche corny as this sounds, you are still in great health so it's all good in persective. Some people would love a "simple" back injury right now.

U think u could at least ride a bike? You could still do some Low-Intensity cardio during your time off? Maybe lean up a little?

F that. I've got too much HW to work on to deal with cardio. Once next week is over with, I'll be going full steam. Maybe even start up sometime this weekend. I'll be taking now thru Friday off though.

I'm going to obviously take off of SFL, but I'll continue taking creatine mono, IGF-2 (for recovery purposes), and all of my other stuff (protein, fish oil, MV).

I'd love to get in a few sets tomorrow for legs at the very least, but don't know if that will happen or not. I have to head out towards the gym tomorrow to run some errands, and if I'm feeling up for it, I'll stop by for 20mins or so.

I threw it out there because this is what I tried doing during winter finals. I put my notes up and just peddled while reading. Killing two birds with one stone

That would work, but my schoolwork is a little more active than just reading notes. Most of my finals are taken care of, I've got papers and projects due now.
