Feel So Good - 311

I haven't had post workout euphoria like this in awhile.

I went in for a second workout tonight. I've been staying away from single joint movements for the most part and keeping only to core extracting, compound movements, however, since this second workout was unofficial, I decided to do some arm training more traditional bodybuilding style.

Brachioradialus & Forearm Extensors

Barbell Reverse Curls
65lbs x 10 reps
85lbs x 10 reps
105lbs x 8 reps
105lbs x 6 reps
105lbs x 5 reps

Smith-Reverse Barbell Curls - Suicide Grip
95lbs x 10 reps
95lbs x 10 reps
95lbs x 8 reps
95lbs x 8 reps
95lbs x 5 reps

Dumbbell Hammer Curls
45lbs x 10 reps
45lbs x 8 reps
45lbs x 6 reps

Preacher Curls
100lbs x 10 reps
100lbs x 8 reps
100lbs x 6 reps

I hadn't done any form of curls in at least 3 weeks, so my muscle endurance wasn't there. I normally start my hammers at 50lbs Db's and work my way up 70lbs Db's, but the 45lbs Db's felt like a ton tonight.

I liked seeing the veins gorge with blood during the curls, I do miss that old sight. I am sticking with my compounding, compound routine, tonight was just an off night, but I did enjoy it.

NOW WE'RE FCUKIN TALKIN!

couldnt really find a pic of phil heaths forearms, but his are the best in the game IMO.

Day 1 Weight: 193-194lbs
Week 3 Weight: 198lbs [with no significant increase in total kcals].

My stamina has increased dramatically as well. No more feeling hypo or over-exhaustion. I finished my aforementioned workout with a leg press only because I felt like doing more "stuff," with the pre-req of it being severely compound. I could have kept going, such as standing military's and shrugs, but again, my lumbar started doing random & minor spouts of spasms, so I decided to withhold on any more erect core/lumbar taxing exercises.

Monster progress Sam, if only T-911 didn't have bloody Y in it, :hitit:

I'm not sure how manly it is that I'm actually in greater congruence with your principle of preferring vascularity over size, but I appreciate the compliment :nervous: I'm not complaining, I do love landscaped traps, but it's hard for me to achieve the Dragonfly standard of lean-o'mousity.

[edit: that was a really poorly constructed sentence, but I think you get my drift].

I don't think you are capable of poorly constructing a sentence :)

DOMSity, USA. I love being sore, my bi's feel borderline, injurious sore, because I hadn't directly worked them for so long, it's great.

I still love how dead lifts along can still give me slight DOMS. My legs are more sore then usual, because I added the leg presses.

I'm still toying with and tempted by the idea of running H-drol and using my other bottle of T-911 as PCT, so, so tempting. PRIME/T-911 stack is also on my brain as the safe, but pricey way out. Ugh.... damn my love for muscle & strength.

I mean, clearly the first and second guy up there are different people... no?

Ohhhhh,

The first guy is Lee Priest. Roland was posting on a guy with great damn forearms, which Lee Priest is known for. Some of the best forearm flexors, imo.

I then posted Phil Heath, because Phil has the best Brachioradialus/forearm extensors, EVER, imo.

I've never seen a well brachioradialus/extensor forearms where I almost think they're too big and Phil is on that line, which is saying a lot "for me."

I'm considering an Ally OOP into another thread, but I don't know yet. I just bought me some PRIME and I'll be bringing my PRIME/T-911 combo to life.

I like having simple logs like this where I don't make a big hoorah out of it and the upkeep is very mild, but at the same time, this is an exciting combo, where I might be enthusiastic about the traffic of a bigger production.

Maybe an unadvertised ally oop would be cool, where only you guys would know its there.

Ultimately, I enjoy simple logs with a tight niche of cool peoples, and I'm not even sure if I'm completely recovered from my previous editions of novel-logs.

phil has the best ARMS, ever. seriously they are so flawless. and hes developed them even MORE over the last couple years. i cant imagine the package he will bring to the olympia this year. i think this may be his year. i doubt jay has a chance. ronnie probably not. dexter didnt deserve the win. and phil hands down beats dennis, victor, and anyone else. his conditioning, detail, and the new size he will be bringing, it will be a tough package to beat.

will be there to see it all go down:wave2:

I'm favoring Phil for top 3, but I'm not as convinced as you are that he'll be the winner. I'd be surprised if he were, but not shocked.

Kai Greene can reach that same level of conditioning as Phil, and Kai is a bit thicker, although Phil has symmetry over Kai.

I was never a fan of Jay, but I don't think he's at the point of his career where he's not a threat to win. I think Jay has "potential" to hit top 3 or win as well.

Victor Martinez can be a silent killer. His leg injury didn't put him back as far as anyone predicted it would and at 80% (according to BB critics) at Victor's last showing, they said he looked far better then anyone anticipated. I can't say who has better symmetry between Victor and Phil, but Victor has size and he can also reach awesome conditioning.

Ronnie... ehhh... 50-60% of placing well. He switched to doing 20+ reps routines and that's just retarded. You'll maintain muscle at that kind of weight where you're pushing 20+ reps (at his level of development), maybe he'll refine a bit, but without Ronnie lifting "light weight!" style and "it ain't nutt'n but a peanut," I don't see him bringing his body in with any integrity to his true potential.

I would like Phil to win, but I'd be really surprised if he did. I think it's going to be a 4 way neck & neck battle between Jay, Victor, Kai and Phil. Jay being the least threatening of those four in my opinion, but definitely in the race.

Interesting that you guys know so much about the professional scene. Will I be able to watch this on TV at least? Where is the competition this year?

The Olympia has been held at Las Vegas for maybe a decade now, I think. You can watch it on ppv, but watching a full pro contest on tv is pretty enduring. Seeing them live is mind blowing, because they look like shaved down roaming buffalo, but seeing them on tv gets old after 5-10 min. Unless it's a particular bodybuilder you're a fan of, even then.
