Restoring Rosie: AN calls in the full cavalry (and a few extras)

Hope the slin goes well for you Rosie, Glad Eric was generous enough to send you off a few full size bottles. Hope the lipoburn agrees with you as well :) I'm certainly enjoying the slin, and have another full bottle waiting for me to use.

Oh and let me know when the igf-2 arrives. (I know you will anyway)

:)

Yes, I know. And yeah, Rosie likes to do things HER way, since I know how my body reacts (and yes, the anomaly). Too many people make too many assumptions, or they try and tell you how you're feeling, etc., which is a fast track to pissing me off (but I think they're learning; else they just think I'm a royal ***** when I tell them how it is). Rosie ALWAYS gets what she wants in the end, so yeah. But thanks for the support.
I can tell you're annoyed from your post! ;) It's okay... Just do what I do and take whatever you don't like with a grain of salt. Like I do :) I still love you no matter what ;)

Get off my kool-aid bud. LOL. Trying to hit on my Rosie...hahaha. :toofunny:. Just messing with ya bud. :p

Cheers!

i know that the stimulants help you, but their probally the main reason you have chronic fatigue syndrome in the first place.

what doctor diagnosed you with cfs?

cfs is a pretty vague diagnosis that can include many things.

you might want to wean off hardcore stimulant like hot rox, to some like yerba mate, l-tyrosene, there are a lot of other good energy promoters. Hot rox is just masking the symptons and your symptons could get worse.

You seem to have a pretty good understanding of supplements and things, except for actually understanding my dear Rosie. LOL.. I know you mean well bud, but Rosie does things her way. Oh BTW...not to be an ass, but its L-Tyrosine. ;).

Cheers!

Yeah, it has been good so far, aye (I have 2 bottles, so should be some fun)...And yes, should be here next Monday (fingers crossed); I'll send it straight down (to BPM?)

Day 35

0815 - HIIT Rollers:
a. 4 min in 39x17 @ 60-65% HRmax @ 116 rpm
b. 8 x 20 sec effort/10 sec easy in 39x16 (HR 85-90% HRmax, rpm N/A)
c. 1 min in 39x18 @ 65 rpm (HR dropped back to 60% HRmax)
d. 11 min in 39x17 @ 70-80% HRmax @ 116 rpm
Started off at a higher cadence, but lower intensity. Decided that two days of HIIT on the rollers wouldn't be too detrimental (definitely easier to recover from than two consecutive days of sprints, even though it's harder at the TIME). Handled the efforts really well. They still felt like they lasted FOREVER, though, ALL of them. REALLY settled back in the minute following them; time out for a breather. Then 11 minutes of moderate intensity, which started being a little harder on the superiomedial aspect of my right knee at the 15-minute mark. A good session, though.

0920 - Full-Body (1 min recovery between sets):
I first heard Rev Theory last night, and they have quickly joined the ranks of Rosie's 'favourite' bands. Here's the two songs that got me through my resistance session today (yes, on repeat)...Thought you might appreciate the first, babe :p
Invalid Link Removed
And the second, which made Rosie grit her teeth and dig deeper on every set when she was already at the weight she would normally only be doing for 6 reps, and trying to get out 12!:
Invalid Link Removed
1. LP - feet high 3 x 12, 10, 8
2. LP - feet mid 3 x 12
3. WG LPD 3 x 12, 10, 8
4. CG SR 3 x 12
5. Flat BB BP 3 x 12, 10, 8
6. Cable Crossovers 3 x 12
7 Weighted Dips 3 x 10 SUPERSETTED WITH 8. Alt. DB HC 3 x 20
9. Abs - knee-ins 3 x 40
Walked into the gym with no set session today; only that it was going to be Full-Body...Started out with LP at 217.4kg (i.e. 447.28lb). Decided to keep going until I'd done 12 reps, just to see how the legs would handle it. When they were fine with that, upped the weight to 257.4kg (i.e. 566.28lb) for 10 reps. Then up again to 277.4kg (i.e. 610.28lb) for 8 reps. This is good, considering I'd only been doing 6 reps at each weight in previous weeks. After 3 sets of pyramiding down, decided to decrease the weight back to 217.4kg for 3 x 12. On the last set I was starting to feel a little stretch in my hamstrings, and legs were trembling. But managed. Well, Rosie can handle MORE than she thought. No reason NOT to try for MORE next time...WG LPD. Set it at 42kg (i.e. 92.4lb). I've been doing 6 reps at this weight until now. Since I'd done 12, 10, and 8 reps on LP for the first 3 sets, decided that I would follow the same pattern for the rest of the session. So, 12 reps, gritting my teeth and digging in for the last 2 reps. 10 reps, struggling a little on the last rep. 8 reps, barely managing the last rep. Good. See what you can do when you PUSH yourself, girl...CG SR. 3 x 12, at an easier weight. I actually had to go decrease the weight for each consecutive set, since my forearms were screaming...Flat BB BP. 12, 10, 8, at 60kg (i.e. 132lb), a weight I would normally only be doing 4-6 reps with. Really surprising myself here. But I was STOKED!...Cable Crossovers. 'Light' weight, but as heavy as I could handle after Flat BB BP, for 3 x 12. On the last set the last 6 reps were a BATTLE to get out, and done slowly and painstakinly, but done...Weighted Dips done with an extra 14.5kg (i.e. 31.9lb), and very slowly, because arms were screaming...Supersetted immediately with Alt. DB HC. Which I had to decrease the weight for on each successive set. But wasn't too worried, since the rest of the session had gone pretty well so far...Finished with Abs. Quick and 'easy', not really feeling it in my Abs until the last set; and even moreso in my quads and hip flexors...Walked out of the gym a little funny :D But was stoked as with the session (wish I had remembered Shoulders!) Close to a 10/10 for sure!!!

1041 - Stretch 21 min.

Sleep - Time and Quality: ~2330-0700, so ~7.5 hours sleep. And was able to get UP this morning when I WANTED to (a FIRST in a long time!) Dreams were pretty vivid last night. And as have mentioned before, are becoming more sexual in nature, which is different to the 'running away' I would usually be doing. Anyways...

Mental Alertness/Focus: Not too sure how well it's been there. In the shower I realized that I'd forgotten to do any work for Shoulders in the gym (and wanted to go back this afternoon and do 6 sets of SP)...I should be working on my logbooks, and setting up a study timetable (yes, only 3 weeks to go now...)

Energy: Was definitely there for the HIIT. There, but very shaky and stumbling in the gym. The fatigue hit at ~1100...

Motivation: There!!!

Mood/Aggression: No aggression. Just a 'happy' calm after the gym...

Stress: High. I don't even want to think about it...

Libido: High...

Joints: Good.

Endurance: Good.

Strength: WOW, is all I will say. 12 reps at the weight I would usually do only 6 reps for on LP, WG LPD, and Flat BB BP; VERY pleased (and determined to push the bar HIGHER next session...)

Quality of Training: Fcuking AWESOME!!! Stoked as (except for forgetting about Shoulders, LOL).

Pump and Vascularity: Pump was definitely noticeable all over in the gym today...Vascularity was ok, not as 'striking' as usual...

Muscle Hardness/Density: Delts and arms...Legs and glutes...

Body Composition and Look: Delts and arms looking better. More definition coming out. Good.

Overall Sense of Feeling: The wheels are being set in motion for next year...

Holy Cow, doubling your rep volume? That is a huge improvement to make in one session! You are rightfully stoked - and should be proud too!

Yeah, I was pretty happy. Just wanted to push and keep pushing and see what my body could handle...It aches like the hugest, muthafcuking bruise on earth today, though!!!

For good reason. Gonna do any stretching or maybe a nice massage to loosen things up?

Babe, I stretch EVERY day, for at least 20 minutes!...My body may hurt, but it's NOT tight. A massage would be nice though, just for relaxing...

Day 36

0907 - Rollers:
20 min in 39x17 @ 75-80% HRmax @ 116 rpm
So yes, a 'recovery' session, since my hips and legs are a little ****ed from yesterday's resistance session. Not as hot and sweaty this session; cool breeze coming in the window. All good, though.

1012 - Full-Body (1 min recovery between supersets and sets):
1. BB RD (on box) 4 x 12 SUPERSETTED WITH 2. SCR 4 x 6
3. BB BOR 4 x 6 SUPERSETTED WITH 4. P/U (feet on bench, hands on m/b) 4 x 12
5. DB SP 3 x 10, 1 x 6
6. Weighted Dips 4 x 10 SUPERSETTED WITH 7. Inc. DB BC 4 x 10
8. Plyometric Box Jumps (PBJ) 2 x 40
Bounced into the gym, ready to go...Started out with BB RD and SCR. Never get any more DOMS from SCR when I set it with something else (instead of doing set after set of just SCR, with only 30 sec recovery between sets). I'm thinking a taller box for BB RD next time, because I'm no longer feeling the stretch. SCR, excellent, as always; I don't do higher reps with these, since the 6 reps seems to bring out definition in my calves well (along with cycling)...BB BOR were a bit of a gritting teeth battle today, especially on the last rep pf the last two sets. P/U were fine; last set was an effort on the last few reps, though...They've changed the DB over the last week, and have new ones in, and no longer have the weight that I would usually use, so I went down a weight and decided to do higher reps. On the last set, however, I could only manage 6...Dips; added an extra 17kg (i.e. 37.4lb), and managed fine, but the DB slipping on the last couple of sets and a strain on my feet to keep holding it. Inc. DB BC were ok; really feeling the burn in my biceps after these...Decided to finish with a couple of sets of PBJ, since hadn't done anything for quads, and felt that legs needed a small thrashing...Despite today supposed to have been a 'lighter' session, it wasn't really; just shorter than the last couple of days, at only 47 minutes, instead of close to an hour. All good, though. It's back to schedule with training from now on (YES, DAMNIT!)

1118 - Stretch 20 min.

Sleep - Time and Quality: ~2200-0753 (waking at 0318, 0423, and 0700), so ~9.25 hours sleep. Deep. Dreaming, again very vivid as. Cold on waking, cuddling into the bedclothes and a warm body. And whole body ached all over, like one giant bruise...

Mental Alertness/Focus: There (more than yesterday, LOL). But NOT really wanting to be doing any study (c'mon, girl, only 3 weeks to go; get it together!)

Energy: Yesterday afternoon I was like an excitable little puppy, bouncing around, with energy, then suddenly 'collapsing' for a while, before starting the playing all over again. Going to be a similar day today, methinks...

Motivation: Hell yeah!!!

Mood/Aggression: No aggression. Just calm, for the most part. Almost happy, bouncing around, dancing through the house...

Stress: Still high as ever, but not bothering me as much (go figure...)

Libido: HIGH! But it's still a good few months from being satisfied yet...

Joints: Good.

Endurance: Always there.

Strength: Good.

Quality of Training: Pretty good, for the third day in a row of Full-Body resistance sessions.

Pump and Vascularity: Pump great, especially in chest and arms...Vascularity ok. Very noticeable after a shower and LipoBURN application (must be the alcohol in it, the smell of which is quite strong...)

Muscle Hardness/Density: All over!

Body Composition and Look: Chest, delts, arms, upper midsection, hips, and calves looking good. Upper midsection is somewhat more defined than it was a few days ago...On another note, my legs are becoming 'soft' again (not in looks, but feel), how they used to be when I was cycling and having deep tissue massage once a week. They're bruising very easily; I only have to knock against something slightly and a bruise appears...sigh...All good, though...

Overall Sense of Feeling: Good...Quickly, been taking 2 caps of Slin (with 2 caps of NeoVar Recomped) twice daily (~10 minutes before meals), and feeling good; the carbohydrates (~60-70g/meal) haven't been affecting me as much as they would (i.e. in the form of bloating, feeling uncomfortable, etc.)...And before y'all get sick of hearing it on the radio (I won't, but others might); a great song by a great band (yes, for you; you know it :D)

Stretching is underrated IMO. I don't really do it anymore, but I noticed it when I did it after a workout or DC style.

...Always rubbing it in about the girlfriend! ;)

I am a HUGE fan of stretching. HUUUUUUGGGEE. I do it every day, many times a day, and every night as well. I even like stretching before workouts. (I know they say not to. I don't give a ****. I do it anyways. I get so stiff that I have to stretch before I workout.) I personally attribute much of my cuts/stritations to the simple fact that I stretch so damn much.

3clipseGT, for upper body, specifically back/torso, I like to sit down with my left leg straight in front of me. Then I'll bring my right foot OVER my left leg and place it next to my left hip. I'll then bring my left elbow to my right knee, place my right hand on the ground to the right and slightly behind my right hip, and rotate my upper body by pushing my elbow against my knee. I'll feel a huge stretch throughout my entire torso, abs, lumbar, mid/upper back, and hear/feel my back crack a couple times. I'll hold the stretch for ~20 seconds, then reverse it and go the other way. That's my favorite. It makes me :D.

I know, I saw: - just thought I'd throw a few suggestions out there. :)

You can always make suggestions, but as Sean said: "Rosie does things her way". :D

Rev theory - hell yeah

Yep, it is. And it's also just to let the lion know that HE'S not always going to be the one in control :p

Study up! Don't slack in your schooling ;) hahaha

This whole year has been a "slack in schooling", LOL. No worries, though. I'm lucky that I've never had to TRY with studies (which is why the assignments etc. get done the day they're DUE). But, only got 3 more weeks left. YAY!!!

Lookin good lookin good. Glad the slin is treating you well so far!

Yeah, it has been interesting to use.

There's plenty of sites that will have stretching on (i.e. Invalid Link Removed). You could even get out a book.

Stretching and massage are used for different things: Stretching is primarily for increasing flexibility in the joints, tendons, and ligaments; and massage for recovery or relaxation.

Stretching is underrated IMO. I don't really do it anymore, but I noticed it when I did it after a workout or DC style.

It depends. Stretching is NOT always necessary or beneficial (i.e. for power athletes, such as sprinters, who want that muscle tension), but it can be useful in helping decrease the risk of injury, increasing flexibility, etc.

Personally, I've always stretched for 20-30 minutes a day after training. When I did track training, I would do it after my warm-up (and the one time I didn't I ended up ****ing my knees a couple of days before Nationals).

You can always make suggestions, but as Sean said: "Rosie does things her way". :D

Yes indeed...Rosie may hear what you have to say, but she may not exactly listen to you... :p.

Yep, it is. And it's also just to let the lion know that HE'S not always going to be the one in control :p

I love it when your feisty, but maybe just maybe I'll let down my guard on a rare occasion and let you think you have control....hahahaha.. Of course you knew I was going to be replying to that one babe.

Cheers!

Yeah made a double post so to cover my a$$...I know nothing about nothing...lol. :toofunny:

Don't act the fool too much; you might bore me :gotsearch

rosie always gets what she wants

Yes, she DOES...And it's usually after a lot of ****ing hard work, sweat, tears, and risks...

Day 37

0830 - HIIT Rollers:
a. 2 min in 39x17 @ 50-55% HRmax @ 100 rpm
b. 2 min in 39x17 @ 60-65% HRmax @ 116 rpm
c. 8 x 20 sec effort/10 sec easy in 39x16 (HR 80-90% HRmax, rpm N/A)
d. 1 min in 39x18 @ 96 rpm (HR dropped back to 65% HRmax)
e. 1 min in 39x18 @ 112 rpm (HR dropped back to 60% HRmax)
f. 2 min in 39x17 @ 60-65% HRmax @ 112 rpm
g. 8 min in 39x16 @ 80-85% HRmax @ 112 rpm
h. 1 min in 39x18 @ 100 rpm (HR dropped back to 65% HRmax)
Damn, this was HARD today. Legs and hips still a little 'achy' after Sunday's resistance session (oh, get over it already!) HR not really going up very well, except after a few efforts. Each effort seemed to take forever, as they have been doing lately. HR continued to drop, even after picking up the pace a little, in the second minute after efforts. Decided to really make the legs work (considering that it was my ONLY training session today, and the cheating last night). Did ok.

0900 - Stretch 20 min.

Sleep - Time and Quality: ~ 2230-0700 (waking at 0325), so ~8.5 hours sleep. The sleeping time is coming DOWN! And yeah, woke at 0325, and realized that I never even woke to Jammie's text, and then didn't even HEAR the 0423 alarm (usually set, because I'm on the laptop, to remind me to start getting ready for cardio). Sleep was deep and very full of dreams. Dreams are continuing to follow sexual themes, and make Rosie a very frustrated woman sometimes...

Mental Alertness/Focus: I had a mock of my Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation practical exam this morning. Pretty much I have to know EVERthing when it comes to injuries, from the ankle/lower leg, knee, hips, back/neck, and shoulders: mechanism/s of injury, signs and symptoms, how to assess for which injury, rehabilitation (Phases I to IV) programmes for each injury; and anatomical knowledge for all the bones, muscles, ligaments, tendons, what inserts and attaches where, etc., need to be known in full, 100%...Despite the mock, head wasn't really there, and I nearly had a serious car accident on the way home...Had a ***** of a migraine for the rest of the day...

Energy: Trained this morning. But that was about it. My hips are still extremely sore (muscular) from the knee-ins on Sunday, and walking is a little awkward, not to mention PAINFUL...

Motivation: There. Hell (and I know, Sean, broken record and you getting huffy), I hate Rosie's body right now!!! It just disgusts me no end! Grrrrr...

Mood/Aggression: Aggression, some, especially over male photogtraphers trying to tell me that they're different and want to try different things and then contradicting themselves and really all they're wanting me to do is take my clothes off (FCUK that! If I wanted to be a porn model, I would have done that, thanks; now fcuk off!!!)...Apart from that, just tired...And angry at myself for another cheat today (yes, Kyle, gonna get lashings from you too, now, I suppose...)

Stress: Way too high to be thinking straight!

Libido: Far higher than it should ever be allowed to be for someone ABSTAINING!

Joints: Fine.

Endurance: Always there :)

Strength: N/A.

Quality of Training: Ok.

Pump and Vascularity: Not much pumps...Vascularity is wow, though. Really seeing the veins across my chest, down neck and biceps and forearms and on top of hands, down legs to feet, and snaking across my torso...

Muscle Hardness/Density: Arms getting harder.

Body Composition and Look: To everyone else I look ok, and they keep telling me that I'm "lean enough; what do you want to be leaner for?". To Rosie there's so much work to be done before the end of the year; everyone's else's 'lean Rosie' is synonymous to Rosie's "voluptuous" and "fat Rosie"...

Overall Sense of Feeling: Bit snarly (yeah, saw that coming a mile off)...Tummy has been rather upset today. Maybe it was too much sugar last night? Or maybe it's the Drive? Or Slin? Not too sure; it could be a bug, even, going around...Going to try a completely different Full-Body session tomorrow (inspired by Kyle), of 2-4 x 25-40 for each exercise (sets and reps based upon which body-part is being worked). That should be INTERESTING...

Day 38

0814 - Rollers:
25 min in 39x17 @ 70% HRmax @ 112 rpm
Got on my bike and settled at a rhythm. Not a lot of effort or sweat today. Just a nice 'recovery' ride.

0841 - Stretch 21 min.

Sleep - Time and Quality: ~2100-0700 (waking at 0325, 0330, and 0423), so ~10 hours sleep. Don't know WHY I was so fatigued this morning; I didn't do a resistance session yesterday (then again, it was another binge of ice-cream, pizza, fries, and sugar, so maybe THAT was it?) Anyways, dreams once again full of all things that I won't let myself have :p

Mental Alertness/Focus: I've started on one of my logbooks (due on Friday, but having to be finished tomorrow evening), and been slogging away at it for nearly two hours and nowhere near even a quarter done yet (man, should have been doing this as I went along!) AND I can't concentrate much longer than 30-60 minutes at a time at the moment; what happended to the 6-8 hours non-stop studying that happened playing 'catch-up' back in college? Going to get THIS logbook all finished today, though!

Energy: Ok. Upset tummy from yesterday has gone. Hips still a little achy. Did some cleaning after training. Wanted to do a resistance session this afternoon or tonight, since I didn't get up this morning, but will do it tomorrow instead (yes, Kyle, YOUR kind of session :D)

Motivation: There.

Mood/Aggression: Not as aggressive as it has been the last few days. Mostly tired and 'can't be bothered'. Frustration. A little 'WTF'. And some serious issues...

Stress: I can't even begin to describe this right now...

Libido: Was high last night...Not a lot of anything so far today, though...

Joints: Good.

Endurance: I could have kept going on the rollers, but since I'm not a fan of long cardio, didn't.

Strength: N/A.

Quality of Training: Was ok, aye.

Pump and Vascularity: Not much pump...Vascularity is good, though...

Muscle Hardness/Density: Arms. Definitely legs and glutes (never any doubt there...)

Body Composition and Look: Chest and around collarbone and the acromion seems to be leaning out...

Overall Sense of Feeling: Bit 'out', today...I want to BINGE REAL BAD...

My kind of session, aye? Hahaha. Nice! That binge sounds grade A ;) Sounds like it's right up my alley :) I force myself not to do it... The other night I wanted to swat the bag of trail mix out of my other hand... then I was chewing it and was debating with myself like, "spit it out dammit! it's not too late!"

Yep Kyle's 25-40 rep per exercise Full-Body session (wish I could be doing something else Full-Body, LOL...You didn't! :rasp: Close your mouth; you have a while to wait for that, Rosie...)

Yeah, my binges are great (not so great for the body, OR the head the next day...And so start the mental Rosie beatings)...Sometimes I just sit there and argue with myself about will I or won't I, until I can't be bothered going out to GET the food I want (and then it happens the next day, most of the time, but still)...If I were training ok, I would get away with it more. But since I'm not...

I just need to get back into gear...

Well, you know what you gotta do Rosie ;) It feels great when you're eating the junkfood ;) Afterwards I feel guilty, but that's what I have to let go of. I do stupid things afterward like eat 10 Anabolic pumps or 5 P-Slins to try and negate it... along with a handful of sesathin. lol

FOG - the idea is to eat 10 APs or 5 PSlins before pigging out on junkfood!

AP any good? I haven't read much into it. I do enjoy a nice pigging out now and again

lol... I know... I fear that if I take the AP and P-Slin and then change my mind, I'll be in for one HELL of a blood sugar drop! The binges are impulse thangs ;) I am not like, "Okay. Gonna binge in T - 13 minutes" lol

so a bunch of AP would be good before say going to a chinese buffet?

Damage control for parties or a cheat is the only time I' use AP or Pslin, seems to work decently enough. The white kidney bean extract is something I've read about, but I have yet to try... good info FOD and Adams - thanks!
HEY! Who's FOD? lol

Yeah, I never bought much into the white kidney bean or chitosan gimmicks, but it does seem to work.
