at the navel? around 38 now I think. I wear size 32 or 34 pants, depending on the brand, under the belly
 
TODAYS WORKOUT (chest, shoulders, biceps)

I killed it today! Was a very nice and intense workout.

I will give example exercise(s) to track my progress:
Biceps curl (straight bar) 95x4, 95x2 (this was at the end of my workout)

I hadn't done straight bar too much ( i usually was doing curl bar), so I can't compare it against previous performances.
 
UPDATE:
lower body today
Deads: 95X10 (warmup) 135x4, 205x4, 205x4 NOT GREAT, but not bad for starting back up.

COMMENTS:
Felt like complete ass trying to get up today. I slept in an extra half hour. Still managed to gt up and get the workout in! :thumbsup: I need to get to sleep earlier at night....

DIET:
Sucked yesterday! I didn't cheat, but i didn't get everything in that i was suppossed to. Had a job interview in the morning and then arrived to a bunch of headaches at my other job, so was real pressed for time and then my older boy had a soccer game (i coach). So it was hectic to say the least.
 
Good sh!t man. Toughest thing in the beginning is just making it. You'll see muscle memory and #'s flying up, and soon you'll have more trouble keeping yourself out of the gym and taking an off day when you know you need it then just trying to get the job done. :bb3: :cheers:
 
nice! got the pics up. now you are officially accountable!

just knowing you have those pics to improve from will keep you motivated and honest with yourself.

i believe pictures help more than measurements or the scale. sometimes i feel that i'm not making any progress when i look at the scale or tape measure but then i take an updated photo and compare it to older ones and you can actually see the change. it's very motivational. everyone should do this.

you are going to experience some awesome results in the months ahead!

UPDATE:

OFF DAY! slept in :woohoo:

DIET:
on par! had a whole wheat English muffin with natural peanut butter and honey this morning for my carbs! it was delicious! :head: Protein shake, too!

everything else is good. I look forward to my weigh-in on Sunday, hoping to see some positive changes! :thumbsup:

TODAY:
Upper back and Tri's
My tris are STILL sore! It was hard shifting on my drive into work (yes, i have a manual transmission.)

did some pull downs and skull crushers among others.

skulls were 3 sets 65X7, 55x7, 45x7 (i was spent and it was the end of the workout!)

Diet so far is good! I'm loving the peanut butter/honey English muffins pre-workout! I think it really filled me out during the workout, too!

I am on only the basic supps (BCAA, Protein, Creatine)! :thumbsup:

Still trying to figure out when/if to add supps in, i may not add them in till i am done with this first 3 weeks.
 
So my work threw me a little celebration for graduating with my Master's Degree, so i HAD to have a small piece of cake......that has been my only cheat this week, so i am still pretty stoked!

Tris are WICKED sore! STILL! It was a GREAT WORKOUT! gonna be SORE tomorrow! :woohoo:

its a Masters of Library and Information Science.

I am the Technology Manager at a library in Ohio. I needed the degree to move up into better jobs. Basically, i am the "techie" that fixes anything with a button and plugs-in. But, i also get to manage the budget and do all the purchases and planning. Its a pretty sweet job!

The degree is much more than just "librarian." It is about research and information and the storage of that information and fast and easy retrieval of the information.

Why do you think I lift? So I can blast through the stereotype of being a "librarian." What do YOU do? Bet i make more money and have a much more fulfilling day! :stick:

I'm a product manager and assistant to the CTO of a financial firm, doing software projects, pre-sales support etc on our software products. So you are probably half right, I bet your day is more fulfilling :D

Ah I was just playin! And the education part actually makes me feel bad about myself, I never seemed to manage getting a bachelors. I've passed (careerwise) most of my friends who do have degrees, but it always makes me feel a little bad inside when I sit in someones office who has degrees hung on the wall. I keep thinking about going back to get one, but where would I find the time at this point in my life....

You think you've got an odd job?!?! Hell, I think I've got y'all beat!!

I work for a County Solid Waste Authority - we take care of a drop-off recycling program, illegal dumping, and oversee garbage haulers and the local landfill. My job as Education Coordinator is to do our website, write newsletters quarterly, and mostly to go around to schools and give presentations on the benefits of recycling. Can you imagine how boring that gets?!?! I'm a frickin motivational speaker on the environment!!! Though I don't have a van down by the river, it's still a small house down by the river!! (Chris Farley reference, you tards...)

Sad part - I've got my bach and state teaching certification and could be making almost twice as much money right now if I were in a high school doing what I'm trained to do. Instead, I sit here all day in my "off season" chatting with you sh*theads! Oh wait, I guess that's a job perc, huh?!? :D

Anyway, it doesn't matter who you are, what you do, or how you do it. Just get your job done and be a meaningful part of society. Lift hard, eat big, train bla bla bla...I'm still bigger than you! HA!! (j/k) :rofl:

Ok, who really cares what the f*ck you do for a living. If you've found something you enjoy that pays you enough to get by, I don't see the point. I'm yet to meet a person whose found meaningful happiness in owning 7 sports cars. So let's drop this chatter, stop sounding like conceited *******s, and get back to rooting on Mace for his preparations for the '08 Arnold Classic, where he will be one sexy *****.

Tris are still sore! (so I really tore them up and am happy about that!)

Tomorrow is another metabolic training day. Heath is moving, so I am doing the SAME one i did last week! I liked it anyway, so its all good!

For those that might have missed it, Metabolic Training is compound exercises in a circuit for the whole body. 4 circuits total with no rest until the circuit is done! BURNS TONS OF CALS :woohoo:

Lats are not as sore as I would like. Should have worked them harder! :frustrate

Diet so far is on-par.

Sounds like your going all out Mace, that Metabolic Training seems like it has the potential to kill some one lol.
