X-forcing my way into smaller pants!

Today's Workout

4x6

Deadlifts
supersetted w/ Dips

Cable Tricep Extensions
supersetted w/ Supinated Pull Downs

Standing Calf Raises

I finished off with some ab exercises to target my lower abs.

Deadlifts were good. I used 125 lb for every set, which is a 10 lb increase since last time I did 4x6. :D Dips were body weight. I really think my triceps are getting stronger, cause the dips weren't as hard as usual.

Extensions were done with 50-60lb, and Pull Downs were done with 135lb.

I've been feeling like my lower abs haven't lost any fat the last couple of weeks, so I'm going to be doing more ab work to try to target that area. I'm sure I've made progress- it is particularly noticeable in my thigh, lower back, butt area, but the abs are just being stubborn lately. Hopefully this will help.

Excellent on the Dips. It WILL get easier, still :)

Doing extra abwork won't cause the fat to come off your lower abs any faster. Losing that last lot of fat will come from your DIET. If you're like me, then the fat might not come off that last area until there's not a lot left anywhere else.

It will help target a bit more muscle growth there though, which will hopefully result in more ab definition as time goes by and I lose more fat. My diet is pretty darn good, so that shouldn't inhibit fat loss.

Possibly. Abs are like any other muscle, and don't need excessive work to grow (doing lots of work is more likely to build endurance there). Twice a week is enough, really. Try doing weighted exercises for them.

I have always had weak abs. Deadlifts and Squats have been the best workout for giving them strength thus far.

What kind of weighted ab exercises are you thinking of?

You have to realize that your CORE is not JUST your abs; it's everything from your shoulders to your hips, essentially.

And when you do an 'ab' exercise, you work the entire length of your rectus abdominus (and transverse abdominus), as opposed to the 'upper' or 'lower' abs, or 'obliques' (although, like with say Dips, you can 'target' some areas by adapting exercises).

Exercises:
* Weighted Crunches
* Rope Crunches
Stuff like that. it doesn't all have to include weights, though. Simply doing hanging leg raises will force your core to work harder.

Decline bench sit ups holding a plate work as well. Broomstick twists are a good non weighted exercise.

I wish I could do hardcore ab workouts. I'm pretty much 100% certain I have a hernia. It seems to always cause problems during ab workouts. Funny story how I got it...

I was in the gym, but I wasn't lifting! I was just getting over being real sick at the time, so I was still constantly coughing. I had this real bad coughing attack while I was working out. I was on the pullover machine and I bent down to adjust the seat and I coughed SUPER hard and it popped out and I had that little buldge and had to push it back in. GAH! It hurt soooo bad.

Thanks for the suggestions, ladies! :)

haha! Wow- that's actually really bad! Have you gone to the doctor?

My Grandpa's got so bad that he had to wear a brace all the time to hold it in. He couldn't have surgery done because of the many health complications he has. :/

Day 45 of X-force

Workout:

3x12

Machine Hack Squats
supersetted w/ Upright Rows

Leg Curls
supersetted w/ Lateral Raises

Flat Bench Press
w/ Bicep Curls

Hack squats were really hard on my knees- it seems like all machine leg movements are, such as the Smith Machine, Hack Squat Machine, Leg Press Machine. I'm glad that I don't do them all of the time. :/ Still I was able to Hack Squat 160 lb.

Rows were tough. I'd Never done "upright" rows, and it took a while to get my form correct. They are harder for me to do than Bent Rows. I was only able to pull up a 40 lb BB. :(

Curls were done with 90 lb. It was a machine movement- much easier all the way around than free weights. Lat raises were good- I used 15 lb DB.

Bench press was 70lb BB and Biceps were done with 50 lb BB, 40 lb BB, 30lb BB- in that order. They were shot from doing the other movements by the time I got to actually isolating them.

X-force helped me out yesterday morning a lot. I was pretty sleepy, so the energy it gave was really needed!

Day 46 of X-force

Morning Workout:

3x6

Romanian Deadlifts
w/ Dips

Supinated Pull Downs
w/ Cable Tricep Extensions

Last night I started catching a cold and I've felt somewhat fatigued this morning, with a sore throat and all. Still, I managed to do well in the weight room.

My Deads were done with 135 lb, and I pumped out my usual body weight dips, with the help of Resolve's spotting.

Pull Downs were done with 135 lb, and Triceps with 60 lb.

I am beat! I sat in the steam room and sauna for a while, it helps me drop water and feel rejuvinated after a workout. My legs are pretty sore from the hack squats yesterday and today's deads...

I'm undecided as to whether I will work out again tonight. It depends on how I am feeling in regards to my cold.

I did end up working out last night. My cold seemed to subside as the day went on, so I felt up to it.

Workout:

2x12

Deadlifts
w/ DB Bench Press

Wide Grip Pull Downs
w/ Cable Skull Crushers

I used 115 lb for my deads, I felt so-so in my strength during that second workout. I was already so beat from hack squats thursday, and the morning workout, that I wasn't able to use as much as I would have liked. :( Feeling a little under the weather contributed a bit.

Morning Workout:

4x6

Squats (135lb)
w/ Bent Rows (90lb)

BB Lunges(95lb)
w/ DB Seated Military Press(35lb)

This workout was intense, but great. I woke up about 2 hours earlier than usual to get out of the house for a crazy-busy day, and was tired at first. But it was one of those mornings that you don't have time to be sleepy or lazy, so I snapped out of it and hit the weights. X-force gave a much needed boost of energy to my tired body all day. Directly after my morning workout I babysat until 3:30pm, and then went back to the gym for my second workout. After all that I still got a great evening workout in as well.

Evening Workout:

3x12

Wide Stance Squats (105lb, 115, 120)
w/ Supinated Bent Rows (75lb)

DB Split Squats (30lb, 25, 25)
w/ DB Incline Press (35lb)

I really pushed myself during his workout. I was so tired, but I still beat myself really bad! I ran into a jerk-face who pissed me off as I was finishing up my last set of Squats. That helped me with getting those supersets done. Man, some people are so full of themselves. It is quite sad.

It was really such a big day! Glad I had X-force to help me though it!

I have only 2 more day's of X-force! :( I'll be posting some pictures on Thursday (Thanksgiving!).

Oh yeah! Sleep is amazing! So looking forward to XDream!

X-force has been great! I've made a ton of progress, as you know. So glad I was able to log it.

I think I have. At this point, I'm not getting a whole lot from the calipers, but I can see a difference in my butt, thighs and a little in my tummy.

When I post Pic's on Thursday you guys can let me know what you think-If it seems like I've lost fat.

I'm gonna eat low carb the next couple days to drop off water. I swear, I hold on to water the majority of the month, and it is so frustrating! :(

I want to try that water pill by Primaforce and see if it does anything. I'm kind of curious.

I haven't heard of that. Yeah, I wouldn't mind taking something. It is just hard to tell a lot of the time if I've remained the same in my BF, or if I'm just seeing water. But I really think that I have lost fat. It looks like I have just a little in the mirror.

Workout:

4x6

Deadlifts (155 lb)
w/ Dips (BW)

Supinated Pull Downs (135)
w/ Cable Tricep Extensions (70)

Seated Calf Raises (90 lb)
w/ Leg Raises

I went up 20 lb from last week in my Deads. That was crazy! I was so tired after this workout. I was going very deep in my dips, and by the time I got to the Tricep Extensions my tris were tired!

Pull Downs just killed my biceps. I was so tired after last nights workout, and a long busy day, that I got home and went to sleep at about 6pm. I didn't wake up till 7 the next morning. :D

Looking GREAT, BW! You've definitely tightened your stomach area up, and have put on some quality LBM all around. It looks like you've got a very strong core! Is that some veinage I see running down your bicep and around your delts in the first picture?

It could be some veinage. I do have a little that comes out of that area, but I kinda think it is because my skin is fair there, rather than low BF. :/

Thank you! Resolve noticed, especially when I dropped some water, that I have lost fat in my hips, tummy and butt. I can see it a little too, I just see myself every day so it is hard to tell. yay! :)

If you eat a fair amount of carbs (CHO), then it's possible, since for every gram of CHO that you have, your body holds 3g water (Wardlaw & Hampl, 2007). If you feel that you "hold on to water", then perhaps try drinking more; it's weird, but the more you drink, the less water you retain.

Yes, in pics it can be hard to see changes sometimes (depending on lighting and angles, etc.). But, as Resolve says, he sees the difference. You should be proud of yourself so far.

I am equivalent with a camera to not one but all of the Three Stooges, so the pictures not being the best is entirely my fault.

Also, the majority of BW's progress in recent weeks has come more in her hips, butt, and arms. Her abs have improved somewhat, but those other areas are much more noticeable.

I definitely noticed the change in the hips/butt, but I didn't want to really state it because I tend to get very excited talking about bodacious booties. My LBM comment was geared towards the glutes. :D

FINAL X-FORCE REVIEW:

Energy: 10/10 The energy that X-force gave me was incredible. Every morning that I worked out I'd usually start off tired, until X-force hit my system. All the sudden I had the stamina and drive to push myself as hard as I could and to lift as much as possible. I set several personal records, not only because I was gaining strength, but because X-force helped with giving me the energy to push myself over the edge.

Focus: 8.5/10 X-force seemed to give me a lot of focus in whatever I was doing, especially during the beginning 2 weeks. I was more alert and more aware of my surroundings. My mind seemed to be more tuned into what was going on around me.

Fat Loss: 10/10 While I was on a calorie deficit and a difficult workout routine, X-force gave me the energy to get to the gym every day and do my best. The drive that X-force provided was what seemed to help me out with fat-loss the most. On those days that I felt nearly too tired to workout, X-force gave me a shove that kept me pumped throughout the entire 1-2 hrs at the gym. I was pushing so hard, and burning tons of calories while I worked out. I went from 23% body fat 18-19% within 2 months.

Mood Enhancement: 8/10
I could feel a boost in my mood, primarily in the beginning. I was a little more optimistic and happier than usual.

Appetite Suppression: 7/10 Lack of appetite was noticeable on the days that I took more caps than usual. For me, it wasn't the best quality in X-force. The little bit of food that I needed to get down for proper nutrition was difficult to eat. I can see how this could be a good trait for many other people, though.

I would absolutely use this product again. I would definitely recommend it to others, especially those wanting a good boost of energy and are aiming to lose fat. It worked wonderfully for me! :)

Thank you once again, IBE, for allowing me to log your product. It has helped me out a lot, and I enjoyed sharing the progress with you all. I'm Looking forward to logging X-Dream! :)
