Once in a great while isn't going to matter. I'm not 100% Paleo anyway.

i know right, ive been getting ridiculous munchies lately at night and i always destroy something non paleo that my roomates have. because of this effect, im not so sure how paleo the herb is lol.

We've been making those burgers on a pretty frequent basis. They're freaking amazing and nutritious without being really high on the caloric charts. High in protein, calcium, mono/sat fat, and iron. Plus, it breaks up the monotony of Paleo foods.

On a side note, anyone have some tips/advice for sweet potatoes? I did fry some up in EVCO with cinnamon and they were really good, but still looking for other ideas.

I usually do the same, except I tend to do most the actual cooking in the oven.

If you want to be adventurous, Tomahawk had convinced me to try a baked sweet potato with a warm banana mashed in, Its damn delicious, but definitely a bit on the weird side.

I saw that and it's a great Paleo refeed/post training meal. Not too sure I want to try it, though.

Dude roast them in the oven at a low temperature and cook them slowly and in decent 2" by 2" cubes at least. That way you wont destroy all the nutritional value. First sealing the outside in hot olive oil and turmeric for 2min. Sweet potatoes Love turmeric.

How the F do I cook chicken, medium temp? In a fryin pan lol

Pan frying chicken breast

Pan frying chicken breast has two variations worth mentioning; Pan frying and searing then baking.

Pan frying is easy. Heat a skillet or frying pan to medium and drizzle about a tablespoon of olive oil into the pan and allow to heat through. Place chicken breast in pan and allow to cook for 7 or 8 minutes or until brown and golden. Flip and repeat until chicken breast is cooked.

If you would like to sear and bake chicken breast heat oven proof skillet or frying pan to high and set you oven to 325 degrees F. Drizzle with a tablespoon of olive oil and just as it begins to smoke place chicken breast in pan. Sear until brown and flip and repeat. pLace pan with chicken breast in oven and allow to bake for 20 minutes. You can also pour 1/2 cup or so of chicken broth or wine in pan before placing in oven to de-glaze the pan as it bakes.

However, i highly recommend the sear and bake method, as the chicken will taste significantly juicier.

just had 5 hardboiled eggs and some fresh fruit salad. this brings the daily egg count to......12. yummmm

Very true, unfortunately, in 12 story apartment building in the city, its not an option. I miss the grill when i lived at home :(

yea i dont think i could live in a city. im 10 minutes outside of Philly and going there to party or whatever is the most i can do. i cant handle people living on top of each other and crammed spaces. plus not being able to grill?!?!

One of the downfalls for sure, but I do love the busy-ness of the city.

Chicago is really cool though. i was there earlier this year and i was impressed with how clean it was and how cool the people were. the winter is a bit harsh for me, im a windows down wearing shorts type of dude.

I live in a small town but its hard to grill when the snows crazy lol.
Also I just moved here and have no clue if I can even have a grill. Could alway use the george foreman though o.0
