What Improves Endurance Besides Beta-Alanine?

I am looking for means to improve my endurance. I am weightlifting and practicing Muay Thai, and being on caloric deficit puts a toll on my endurance.
My research shows that beta alanine is something to invest in, with proper scientific data behind it on endurance.

I guess creatine could also help, but it is already in my year round staple.

What else could be worth its money in terms of improving endurance?

Citrulline
Cordyceps
Follidrone ( according to feedback)
Rhodiola rosea

Just a few I can think of off top of my head.

Sodium bicarbonate is a good cheap option.

Nitrates and especially Betaine Nitrate found in Max Pump greatly increase endurance asking with a nice "pumped" feeling throughout the day.

Considering your situation I think something like Amino IV would be a solid choice of a fully formulated product to look into. The high Leucine BCAA/EAA blend may be helpful for recovery and the additional Taurine, HICA, and Lemon Verbena Extract are included due to benefits shown on recovery in athletes (as well as benefits of increased work out performance => enhanced endurance and strength). Making sure you are recovering properly from your exercise bouts will serve as the best way to keep making strength and endurance gains or maintain them during your deficit.

As far as individual ingredients that may pose specific benefits to your training and goals to look into:
Nitrates (improved aerobic and anaerobic function)
Amentoflavone (improved vasodialation for improved endurance, improved power output)
Creatinol-O-Phosphate (improved endurance)
Rhodiola Rosea (improved endurance and reduced stress)

I am in the same boat as you! I have found that Amino IV has helped me a ton, have noticed a difference in recovery time in between rounds. I actually train mma but still same idea. I also use Cardio Surge Energy by PNP. That my friend works wonders! Highly recommend checking it out. But with those two stacked I feel like I can do 10 rounds in a row and still have decent energy.

2-4g taurine ed

Potassium Nitrate
Citrulline
Follidrone

OP- I weight train 4 days a week, train Muay Thai 4 hours a week and rugby is starting up. I know what you are dealing with.

COP greatly outperformes beta alanine for me.

Look into Peak Beta+ for one of the highest rated endurance formulas on this forum.

Even though everyone here knows it as the strongest pump product, High Volume should also be in every endurance athletes arsenal.

The same pathways that are used for pumps in the gym by bodybuilders can also help increase endurance.

Beta-alanine is a great endurance staple, but it should be used everyday and its effects will take place with time. A product like High Volume can be taken 30-60 minutes prior to an endurance event and results will be seen with one use.

(G)PLCAR and nothing else I have ever tried does anything even close. 2g pre workout. Try it; you won't regret it.

I do weight training and cardio directly before BJJ so I am in a similar situation and while things like BCAAs citrulline and agmatine are great none of them did anything even close for endurance. Not even the same ballpark. A couple of my friends here rock (G)PLCAR and all have the same result. They also weight train and do either BJJ or Muay Thai (or both).

I have cordyceps here but haven't tried them yet. But I do hear nothing but good things about them too.

Most users have been very impressed with the endurance benefits of Thunderbolt along with the great pumps it provides. Thunderbolt is a top-notch product and a product that should help a great deal with your training.

Uhm, perhaps time most of your carbs around workout time? That's probably your best bet for immediate performance/endurance benefits OP.

This. I got some of this to use while on my long-term weight reduction plan and wish I could afford it as a staple. I am VERY overweight and my exercise endurance went crazy while on it. I was doing HIIT sprints and before PLCAR it was brutal. While on it, they were much easier, and I could run much further (and I hate running). It was definitely noticeable. I'm surprised only one person has recommended this actually.

Overdoing Stims is great in the gym but would probably suck for Muay Thai. last time in did that (accidentally) and went to bjj after lifting I felt ill and almost had to puke.

I'm surprised too! I would have thought it was just me if I didn't know several ppl who had the same experience. Seems to have a thermo effect as well (felt warmer and sweat buckets). Stuff is the bomb! Nutraplanet has it at 20-25 bucks for 100g. If u disease 2g pre workout that lasts 50 workouts (not sure if that helps but if you were buying the more expensive GPLC but they work the same). Thanks for the reps BTW ;)

Do u notice any difference between nitrate products? I heard they were all exactly the same as long as you get the same amount of actual nitrate.
Should be. You have some various things like Betaine Nitrate, Potassium Nitrate etc that may elicit slight differences.

I do... but that's most likely because a lot of these nitrate products have different actual nitrate content. With that said, 2 grams of creatine nitrate has consistently been the money dose.

Yeah I agree that wouldn't be good lol. I have felt like that back in the old days of epd off Xenadrine. My parent's thought I was on drugs lol.

We used to eat these things called black beauties in high school all the time. It was crazy how you could get all that so easy. I mean, gas stations sold white crosses at the counter.

Great information, thank you everyone for taking the time! :bigok:

Unfortunately, living in a small country in Europe means a lot of the stuff is not available, and shipping it from US increases the price with 30-50% (shipping and taxes). Anyway, I just have to work with what I've got.

Amino IV looks nice, great feedback, I might be able to get it from UK. Follidrone is definitely something I want to try, but it will take time till there is enough to get some in Europe. MAN Body Octane is available locally, so I will have to try it out since mr.cooper69 approves of it. The rest of the "blended" supplements would be harder to find and more expensive.

In terms of basic bulk supplements, I am thinking COP and Citrulline. Would beta alanine produce more results on top of them? It is not that convenient to take it 4 times a day with my day job, but divided into two doses gives me the tingles. I also have to work with some budget in mind, so I would like to get a get value for my money.
Betaine is something I will be adding for strength anyways while on a cut. Nitrates have to be shipped from UK, so I will have to see how the budget goes. PLCAR seems worth it.

Is Rhodiola rosea worth it, with a budget in mind, if I already take COP, Citrulline, Betaine and maybe Beta Alanine?

Dude nutraplanet will ship light orders to u for 8 bucks, so do that. I am in Taiwan and get shipments all the time from them and from another online retailer with 4-dollar shipping which I can't mention on this site. They will be your best bet. If u want that other sites info u can PM me your email address.

Rhodiola is good for energy but doesn't increase my endurance noticeably BTW

I did not know NP had such a cheap shipping option. Thanks for sharing! But still don't your orders get taxed in Taiwan?
Here, it's ridiculous. 20% tax for everything over $35 (including shipping), 15% more if your order is for over $200, $4-5 just so that you can do the whole damn procedure of clearing your order, almost full day at Customs. It really changes the price-value correlation of stuff for me. Follidrone is something I would go through this procedure for.

That sucks! Here they tax but only on orders over 100 usd, then it would be 30 percent.

FYI follidrone is also the next thing I will be ordering over here :)

D-Ribose.

This one is bunk, hence why it was phased out of supplements years ago ;)

In fact, it is one of the most heavily advised against supplements because trial after trial after trial shows no effect

Sometimes I post things, and in the back of my mind I know your not far behind.

Arachidonic Acid (X-Factor) also has tremendous benefit to muscular endurance.

Acutely I'm sure, but have you tried Beta Alanine for an extended period?

Of course I have, it's in nearly everything. Heck I used to sell a BA only supplement haha.

The feedback has been great, I look forward to trying this one soon. I've used some of your cycle support supplements, very unique and high quality formulations.

Found high volume interesting at first but then i read on this board that citrulline doesnt go well together with agmatine so i stayed away from it and bought bulk citrulline

That's weird...do you recall the reasoning for that? Haven't read that one before other than possible pain from causing 'too much of a pump'...

It was something examine.com wrote. Unfortunately, I've seen a lot of people buy into it when their reasoning is horrible. They go just fine together
