actually i was forced to plea guilty to conspiracy to distribute anabolic steroids, despite the fact that rick collins clearly illustrated to the feds that this did not fall under the definition

i did not have the funds, nor was i stupid enough, to try to fight the feds on a legal definition. i took my plea bargain sentence and lived with it

Patrick should get a pat on the back and have long hours of fame.Pa saved baseball in many ways,after the baseball strike nobody was interested in baseball or payed attention until the homerun race between Sosa and McGwire and I belived that McGwire guy took andro.But it's just like chris rock said last night for it to be cheating you have to break a rule and there were no rules at the time.So dont blame anybody except for baseball for not catching up in the times if they didnt want players to use the juice then they should have had drug testing policies in place just like every employer in america does.
 
Now PA is big news on Tony Rome show on ESPN. Watcging it now. Garry Sheffield name is being brought up, hahahaha.

Its all about da "clear." PA: "I created this drug, its an anabolic steroid."

Rome also seemed to show more respect to PA, as being legit/honest, than to Bonds/Sheffield for being liars.

Anyway, just wondering how many pitchers have been outed as having been on steroids? Their approach would likely be a little different, but it's still another possibility that I don't think many talk about...

No doubt man...something like Var, Winny, or low doses of either test or deca could definitely help a pitcher with recovery and or strength and endurance...but what do I know?
 
And thanks for representing a portion of the industry in a positive light PA. Your honesty shows in the interview, and that says a lot.
 
The special on ESPN just quoted PA as having said that he had second hand knowledge of Bonds taking steroids...that's now how I took what was said on HBO.

What I got from the HBO interview is that he didn't know (and couldn't say) for sure that Bonds was taking steroids, but the odds were probable that he was.
 
Yea, PA said he assumed becasue he was told that Bonds was "On the program" by someone (can't recall name) So he had the idea but wasnever directly told that Bonds was taking "Clear."

To me that says that PA was directly told that BB was juicing, which I don't believe is what PA said...he did say that he assumed he was via "The Program." Whatever, I'm a Bonds fan and I think he used something...it's likely that others were too, including his opponents and opposing pitchers.

im also a bonds fan, and i really dont care that he USES steroids. id rather see an enhanced athlete over a normal one anytime.

its like the WNBA vs the NBA. which one are you going to watch?

LOL, great analogy, although it's so hard to gauge how entertaining these sports would be w/o juice. Some of these guys really are just freaks of nature.
GREAT interview though in my opinion. It is nice to see someone actually tell the truth for once. And PA, looking big!
