Volcom's Androlean & Androhard Log

No, I don't know yet. I was really looking forward to that fight. If I read anything about a replacement I'll be sure to update you.

Edit: I'm hearing mutterings of moving up Guida/Pettis to replace Maynard/Edgar.

hmm hopefully they can save the card.

Just saw Chris Lytle vs Dan hardy is booked Aug 4th, I can't wait for that one.

Ben Henderson and Jim Miller was booked for the same night I believe. That's going to be a scrap. I like and respect both fighter's heart, talent and class.

130 has definitely become a mediocre card. Matt Hammil is nowhere near headlining material for a PPV.

I'd have to agree whole-heartedly there. I may still go to my usual sports bar that day to watch it if I have nothing else going on, but my interest level is about a 6/10.

I may just go watch an 80's cover band that night.

Lol. On that random note of cover bands. My uncle-in-law is the singer for The Doors cover band, Wild Child. This summer he's going to tour with the original Door's members, short of Morrison obviously. My uncle-in-law really does look like Jim Morrison, you can actually find a bunch of Wild Child's concerts on YouTube. You'd be surprised how many faithful followers of The Doors are still around.

I'm starting my over-the-top PCT tomorrow and will try to take pictures Friday night. I don't have my own digital camera, so I have to take our firm's digital camera we take pictures of our client's and their busted vehicles with, which is why i have to wait until Friday after work, rather then Thursday night.

My finalized PCT
Nolva
DAA
X-factor (AA)
Phyto-Test
Titanium
PRIME

Misc.
Mesomorph
Creatine Nitrate
Magnesium Orotate (meh, I have it, but I don't know. It's suppose to be a creatine booster, but I don't know...)

I'm considering just keeping this log going through PCT and post pictures at that point as well, if nothing else then for my own continued motivation.

Coincidentally, my wife is a huge fan of The Doors and she's barely 22.

I was a huge Doors fan back in the day. I'm not so much these days, but I did check out my uncle's show at the House of Blues once and in certain tones, the voice match was spot on. He plays at the very famous, The Whiskey in L.A., quite often. The Whiskey would be the scene in the movie, The Doors, where he sings the song, "The End." I believe they still have a poster of Jim Morrison behind the bar or on the wall somewhere there, at least the last time I visited there.

I've never been a big fan. Too slow and meh for me.

lol and "meh." I hear ya. I was actually more of a metal/punk/pop punk kind of guy back in the day, Metallica, Pennywise, Bad Religion, Offspring, Rancid, Blink.... and then there was The Doors for some random reason.

and then there was that one year where ska became the business, but it came and went all within my senior year.

I went through a huge punk phase during undergrad. AFI, Bad Religion, Rise Against, Pennywise, The Misfits...that was all I listened to for years. Then, AFI went emo, Bad Religion tailed off, and Rise Against has been disappointing with their last 2 albums.

Now, I'm back to Lamb of God, Hatebreed, old Fear Factory, Metallica, and Rammstein.

Hardcore. I never got into the newer metal scene. However, my younger brother loves it and I took him and his friends to see Nightwish when they came to the L.A. area.

Oddly enough, the older I got, the more I got into hip hop. Something I hated in high school and something I listen almost exclusively to today (with the exception of 311 and Zebrahead).

I went to a Hatebreed and Lamb of God show last Fall. It was by far the most brutal pit I've ever been in to date.

Went for a 60 min jog today, no lifting. I'm not sure how far I ran, but it's the longest loop I've ran so far. The hardest part was half way through the run when my right butt cheek started having some pretty sharp pains everytime I stepped with my right foot, but what can you do? When you're outside running, it's only over once you get back home.

Now off to my three tilapia fillets. My primary source of protein this month has been from tilapia. It makes me feel very James "Flex" Lewis.

Just had tilapia the other night. Incredibly easy to eat a bunch of it, had about 5 fillets. Covered them in hot sauce too haha :rasp:

I smother the Louisana or Chulua hot sauce. Season salt, black pepper, onion powder, oven at 400 degrees for 12 min, bring it out and drown it in hot sauce.

I wish I liked white fishes, but I fancy the more expensive seafood like salmon and tuna steaks.

I like "well cooked" salmon, I've never tried to oven bake salmon at home, cause once it gets too dry, it's borderline inedible to me. White fish is hard to mess up, the threshold for messing it up is a really huge margin, comparatively, to salmon's mess up margin.

Tilapia is certainly easier on the wallet then salmon.

Also, I think this is all the running I'll be doing this week. I've got a pretty sweet limp going on from my right gluteus minimus pain. I need an elbow grind from an Asian deep tissue masseuse to work that out.

you know tilapia is farmed in a pretty grimy way, right? look it up. probably not something that should be eaten all the time

Brock Lesnar Out of UFC 131, Shane Carwin in.

After fighting his way back from a severe 2009 bout with diverticulitis to successfully defend his UFC heavyweight title against Shane Carwin last July before losing the belt to Cain Velasquez, Brock Lesnar has been forced out of his UFC 131 main event against Junior dos Santos after being stricken once again with the intestinal ailment.

UFC President Dana White revealed the news on a media teleconference Thursday afternoon.

Stepping in for Lesnar to face dos Santos will be Carwin, the former interim UFC heavyweight champion, on the June 11th event in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Carwin was originally scheduled to face Jon Olav Einemo on the UFC 131 card.

Lesnar and dos Santos have been competing against each other as coaches on season 13 of The Ultimate Fighter reality series on Spike TV.

In a blockbuster announcement Thursday afternoon, UFC President Dana White revealed that Brock Lesnar is once again suffering from diverticulitis and will not be able to fight at UFC 131. Instead, the main event on that fight card will be Junior dos Santos vs. Shane Carwin.

"I want to thank the UFC, I want to thank Mr. White and I want to apologize to Junior dos Santos and Spike TV," Lesnar said. "This is an unfortunate situation for me. I dodged a bullet about two years ago with diverticulitis, at that time not knowing what the problem was. ... Diverticulitis is something that never goes away. It's something I've dealt with since the first occurrence and I've been battling it."

Lesnar said that he has been feeling sick for three months and has been on antibiotics, and that "It didn't allow me to train to my full capabilities. I was forced to make a decision to go back to the doctor this week." Lesnar said he spent 14 hours talking to doctors at the Mayo Clinic this week, and although he insisted that the illness won't end his career and that he won't retire from MMA, he said there's simply no way he can fight as scheduled in June.

"It wouldn't have been fair," Lesnar said. "My health is No. 1, my family is No. 1 and it was a hard decision. I'm choked up about it and there's nothing I can do."

Lesnar said White has been "first class" in his support through this relapse of his illness. White said he told Lesnar to make sure his personal health was his top priority.

"He was all bummed out about pulling out of the fight," White said, "I told him, 'Don't worry about the fight.' ... I'm glad it's not life-threatening."

For the UFC, losing the Lesnar-dos Santos bout is a major blow: This season of The Ultimate Fighter has been devoted to building up the two coaches, and it was expected to be one of the UFC's biggest pay-per-views of 2011. Instead, the UFC has now lost that main event, just a week after losing its UFC 130 main event of Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard.

But while the news is bad for the UFC, Lesnar sounded an optimistic note about his future.

"I love this sport and I love what I do," Lesnar said. "This isn't the end of Brock Lesnar."

Needless to say I'm bummed to all hell. Brock is my boy. However, in the big picture I can't be too disappointed. I felt Brock had a wrestlers GnP chance against JDS, but I never saw Brock beating Cain afterward. It sucks for Brock.

As for Carwin v. JDS. Carwin will always have a heavy strikers chance and maybe he'll have learned something from his fight against Brock about blowing your wod, but I favor JDS.

If JDS makes it to Cain, then War JDS.

Trying not to be a prisoner of the moment, but I think Brock's title chances are over. This illness will not allow him to live up to his potential.

Been following the post as much as I can and really interested in the post pics. Also wondering what your overall thought of ANDRO is?

I know your a brock fan and i usually dont jmp the gun but because of recent trends of the older guys besides randy really getting beat bad i think lesner has a very tough road ahead of him. he takes forever and then some between fights. i think because of the way hes trained is really going to be limited from here on out.

going completely out on a limb here but it jsut makes you wonder about the PEDs he might have used during WWE. not taking away from his performance in UFC at all because he did great with no exp but maybe the difference this sport puts a toll on your body his body isnt holding up. this freaking problem hes getting is crazy too. i wish we could see HW fighters more active. im really sad he had to pull out, such a bummer.

The time between fights is not decided by him. It's actually common for a champ to only fight 2x/year in the UFC.

Im looking forward to your summary as well Volcom.

My summary has already been written up, I'm just waiting to take pictures tonight, but I won't be able to post them tonight. For whatever reason, I can't upload pics into photobucket from home, because my internet connection is not sturdy enough or not constantly streaming with a strong enough signal or something, I don't know. Last time I had to come back to work after hours and upload the pics from my work computer :whiner:

As if Brock is out :(, that is a bummer!

Major bummer. As a fan of Brock Lesnar, this totally blows. As a fan of MMA as a whole, I never saw Brock getting past Cain in this lifetime anyway. JDS v. Cain makes better sense ultimately, imho.

Between Shane and JDs, I'm torn. I want a contender who can really threaten Cain and JDS is the name comes to mind between those two. Now more then ever I want to see the Strikeforce heavy weights move over.

I too wanna see the Strikeforce fighters, 2 fighters I think that will do amazing is Josh Barnett and Alistair Overeem.

I really think Overreem would destroy all the heavyweights in the UFC...BUT I think Cain and Brock could out wrestle him......I really hope we get to see those fights someday.

I'm guessing in 2 years when Strikeforce's contract is over with Showtime. Dana has a legal obligation to maintain Strikeforce at the moment, we'll see how Strikeforce holds up when Dana is no longer legally obligated to contracts made prior to his buy out.

I'm also a fan of BigFoot Silva, primarily due to his performance against Fedor. I've never really seen BigFoot Silva fight prior to that and I hear he's as helpless as a turtle on his back, but his top domination was sick.

I want to see Overeem against an elite HW before I anoint him as anything. I've said it before, but he's already had cardio issues before he added 30+ lbs of LBM and has been KTFO'd several times.

Final Review

I didn't take the time to refeed after going the last 10 days without carbs, so I turned out a bit flat. I apologize I didn't maximize my final shots, but I will post some pics I took the last time I had a refeed about two weeks ago at the very end.

Final Review.

The endurance I received in terms of gym stamina and actual cardio was immense. My recovery between sets was notably increased, my ability to press on and make cardiovascular developments was accelerated and the thermogenic effect from ANDROLean was one of the most intense I’ve experienced. I’ve probably dropped more fat burners throughout the years then Jim Morrison dropped acid and the ANDROLean’s thermo effect was a definitive stand out in that regards.

In my opinion, I believe I only utilized 75% of this stacks capabilities, in that I didbn’t have my cardio up to par as it should have been until the latter end of my stack, but once I did, the loss of body weight became shockingly accelerated and was only eclipsed by how quickly I was adapting to my increased cardio output ability. For general stamina/cardio endurance, I give this a superior rating.

My strength held up relatively well considering how long I was cutting. I began my cut two months prior to starting AH/AL at 220lbs. I started AH/AL at 205lbs and though I had my share of strength deteriorating between 220 to 205lbs, my strength did not change in any notable manner from 205lbs down to 195lbs. Furthermore, my back strength continued to progress and move upward in strength throughout. I’ve set all time PR’s on weighted pull ups on this run and I’ve weighed less in past cuts and haven’t been able to hit these numbers, so the PR’s are not solely based on the body weight factor.

Power, not in terms of what may be considered as 1RM bench, squat or deads, but velocity lifts such as cleans and snatches did suffer. However, being that I was on an extremely carbs/kcals restricted diet, would certainly have a great influence on my ability to perform such anabolic lifts. That being said, the loss in power was not drastic. I was still able to perform the same amount of weight in my cleans and snatches, but not for as many reps and the effort it took seemed much more taxing.

Overall, this was a very successful run. I feel healthy at the end of the 6 weeks run and I’d feel 100% confident that a 8, 10 or 12 week run would have been of greater benefit to me and would have been easily manageable. At week 3 I did begin to experience some lethargy, but was advised to try some Rhodiola to combat the lethargy and it made a 180 degree difference, removing my lethargy completely. I hope to run AH/AL again before the summer’s end and hopefully, I’ll better utilize the stack the second time around.

Thanks everyone for following along and the support along the way. I don't feel I fully did this stack justice in my opinion, but live & learn. I intend to run it again, but this time I'll attack it from day one, rather then at week 4. Thank's for all the Primordial reps support.

Thanks for the log!
I think you hit it right on with the 8-12 weeks possible on these. All feedback has been tremendous of how easy the AndroSeries is on sides, with great effects.
