Volcom's Androlean & Androhard Log

I tried those db cleans btw. I did them less as power cleans than as smooth motion. Was only really able to do them with 15lb dumbbells that way(ha!) but my shoulders felt well warmed up after that

Thats what we country folk call a farmers tan.

Being from Texas, I've seen many a Farmer's tan.

They're meant as either a warm-up or for scapular health. They strengthen the hell out of the rotators and mid-traps, which are, IMO, the most neglected regions in athletics.

they did lower my working weights a bit, but it felt good rather than painful, so a net gain :) I'll probably do them on both chest + shoulder days. It definitely helped

I do them mainly to correct the internal rotation that I get in my shoulders. When I first did them, my traps were on fire from the top portion of the movement.

I really like the seated Db cleans. I feel the burn in my delts pretty drastically from the eccentric portions of the lift.

I ran the same 3.7 mile terrain loop yesterday and brought my time down from 50min to 40min to complete. Tonight's back, maybe a shorter loop and my stack officially ends in a couple more days. I'll post pics sometime next week.

Big improvement in the running times. I've noticed the first couple weeks give you some rapid improvements in VO2.

You running this Rodja?

I had a major back workout today. I was surprised at how strong I felt, considering I put in a good 10miles of running this week (real terrain running, not treadmill).

My current weight is 195.5lbs.

BW + 25lbs x 10 reps
BW + 45lbs x 10 reps + 2 reps All Time PR

635lbs x 3 reps

Rear Shrugs

BW x 7 reps

Cable, Straight Arm Pull Downs w/V-grip x 4 sets

I considered going for a run after my lift, but this was my first week running outside and I hit it with a passion, so it's taken its toll for sure. I wished I'd started my ANDROSeries at this very point, because I can tell I've got the running bug and it would have been nice to have the anabolics in the ANDORSeries to buffer the effects of endurance running. However, my stack is coming to an end and I have to say the latter end of my cycle has been enormously successful. I think I wasted a lot of opportunity with this stack by not performing more cardio when I first started. I seem to be losing a ton of weight fast and my strength in some areas, such as my back, are still moving upward.

Looking forward to the pics Volcom.

I just hope I did this stack justice. In retrospect I think I gave it an 80% effort relative to what I could have done, but timing was such that I was already mentally burnt out from my cut when I initially started AH/AL and I didn't get rejuvinated until a couple weeks back and that rejuvinaton coincided with major jumps in progress, in spite of how long I'd been cutting.

I don't doubt it, because my cardio had been subpar as far as effort went toward the beginning, but once I got started I felt like a machine.

I did 20 minutes yesterday and felt much better than I anticipated. I guess my old cross-country training still is in there somewhere.

I never did official cross-country, but in my earlier, overtly zealous/ignorant days, I intentionally ran and/or walk 8.8 miles to work and back 4 times a week as my form of cardio. I lost an astronomical amount of weight in the span of that summer and much of it ended up being muscle.

dang. I ran XC in high school... running feels great when you're only 160-170... long distances start to feel like crap at 200... and then beyond that you might as well stop trying lol

Sprints are where it's at nowadays :firedevil:

Sprints are definitely where it's at for larger guys. My ability to jog was dramatically different from 203lbs to 197lbs, I'm like a completely different machine. I should be more sprint focused then distance running focused right now, but I've got the bug. On rare occasions throughout my life, I get into a season where I look forward to a good 3-5 mile on an almost daily basis. I don't know what or why, because I'd been cardio'less for the longest time prior to my cut. I was basically cardio'less since day one of marriage, getting cut or being particularly lean fell way low on my priority scale, but that inherent desire to be so has returned with a vengeance.

I'll be taking pictures in the next few days.

hahah ahhh you are like the bride that lets herself go after getting married. dudes are always afraid of landing one thats like that.

Could be worse, you could get the "eat whatever bug" and gain 30 pounds of fat :)

I have to fight that bug about every month or so. Sometimes, I just want to eat a ton of ravioli and garlic bread.

I have a 7 yr old daughter! Friggin baked goods always going on in my house.:shocked1:

Well hopefully we all catch the bbq bug and just eat mainly meat this summer and get leaner and healthier ; )

Going Keto diet I see?! :D

I hit chest last night. I'm not sure if there's a point in logging the details at this venture. I'm a day or so away from completing my run. I went for another post workout jog around the gym's surrounding area after my lift last night and I intend to do it again tonight.

Damn, now I want some ravioli.....

Even chef Boyardee in a can? I actually liked it when I was a kid:blink:

I loved it! Hot or cold, I'd throw on some tabasco and go to town. 99% of my ravioli experience is from a can. I rarely get the priviledge to have real, restaurant or homecooking prepared ravioli.

uuuuggghh, stomach gurgles. I've got ravioli on the brain.

My wife gets this 3 cheese(ricotta, romano, mozzarella) ravioli from an Italian market now and then....who needs sex!!

The few times I've had restuarant prepared ravioli was one, a lobster ravioli and the other, 3 cheese. I love 3 cheese.... though lobster ravioli was pretty damn good too.

this thread is now about how amazing ravioli is.

3 cheese is amazing, lobster is good but not as good imo.

now, 3 cheese ravioli with vodka sauce and garlic bread on the side (unlimited, of course) . . . well that is going to be my cheat meal when I get around to having one :p

Red Lobster offers an unlimited garlic biscuits sides, mostly butter and heavy on the garlic, but they don't have 3 cheese ravioli.

hahaa it's so good. It's so caloric and decent on the protein

Crushed it cardio-wise. I'm truly shocked at quickly my cardio is progressing. Recently, I'd been hitting the 2.5 mile loop around my gym post workout and today, I hit that loop twice in 40-45 min. Cardio-wise I feel like a machine, man, I lost some good opportunities during this run by getting the cardio bug this late into the game.

I love the mixture of meat cheese and pasta. 3 amazing things, cant forget a good sauce. i usually like marinara but a vodka sauce is good as well. freaking just love good food and Italian. Should we really be talking about this in a cut log?

All things food and MMA are always welcomed in my logs :32:

Also, I drove the would be 5 mile loop and found it it was only 4 miles per my odometer, not 5 miles, so I'm not as cool as I thought I was.

No, I don't know yet. I was really looking forward to that fight. If I read anything about a replacement I'll be sure to update you.

Edit: I'm hearing mutterings of moving up Guida/Pettis to replace Maynard/Edgar.
