Volcom's Anabeta, Adamantium, Division I, Titanium XL, Erase Log

I Love Squats! Oly lifts are okay, I focus on going light and do lots of reps and good form, i always end up donig these with a good kettel bell workout after a night of drinking.

Hows libido by the way? haha through the roof? Will you be adding anabeta to a PCT at all in the future? I vote next time you do a big PH/DS cycle and log it.

I'm certainly experiencing a solid progression in strength from week to week. I definitely intend to use Anabeta in the future. I'd love to run a cycle of PH's, but I'm not sure my wife would be onboard with it.

I feel ya, my wife only let's me buy health stuff. Vitamins, minerals, anti oxidants. Protein powder, bcaas. She said anything else might hurt the chances of having a child. So I'm not running anything "strong"

Not trying yet though.

what is she scared of, just price? you ran androhard, why not try andromass or maybe the androbulk when it comes out?

and yeah i keep hearing good things about anabeta, so weird i almost dont believe it!

I think anabeta really makes carb meals magical. I was low carb so I wasn't as full muscle wise. I wouldn't pay another $45 for it again unless I adopt a higher carb diet.
But I noticed better pumps during the workout. Though the trade off was I'd get nausea.

Because of the suspect charges that would come up from India or France for the SERMS. I could probably run something that didn't require suspect charges from another continent.

Oh hehe. My opinion of healthy is going on TRT when I finish having kids. So I have a very different view of health lol. I still have a stash of stuff from before we got married ;)

How many kids did Arnold have? With appropriate care, you'll be able to conceive.

Remember, it takes 56 days for a sperm cell to mature, so any test will have to be spaced out at least that far.

Good info here, lol, and that Arnold crack was quality.

I ran 2 miles and did uphill HIIT sprints. No lifting today.

Major Inadvertent Beast Mode

I had a crazy and unexpected workout today. I was in the middle of a backworkout, when I ran into a friend and my back work out merged into a legs workout. I also did some more Deads today, keeping it light & tight.

Pre-hab Deadlifts
135lbs x 15 reps
185lbs x 10 reps
225lbs x 5 reps
245lbs x 5 reps
275lbs x 5 reps
275lbs x 5 reps

Olympic Cleans (off the ground to full front drop-squat)
135lbs x 5 reps
155lbs x 3 reps
155lbs x 3 reps
155lbs x 3 reps

*Cleans after Deads are..... painfully exhausting*

Hammer High Rows
185lbs x 10 reps
225lbs x 8 reps
225lbs x 8 reps
225lbs x 8 reps

Seated Sideways, One Arm Hammer High Rows
*This makes this lift mimic a one arm, parallel wide pull down*
95lbs x 10 reps, each arm
95lbs x 10 reps, each arm
95lbs x 10 reps, each arm
95lbs x 10 reps, each arm

*I saw a buddy of mine at the squat rack and chatted with him for a sec, which resulted in me joining him*

Front Squats ATG
135lbs x 10 reps
185lbs x 5 reps
205lbs x 3 reps
225lbs x 2 reps
245lbs x 2 reps PR (for ATG)
275lbs x 1 rep PR (for ATG)

Overhead Squats
65lbs x 5 reps
95lbs x 3 reps
95lbs x 3 reps
95lbs x 3 reps

I felt like I crushed it today, not so much because of the squat PR's alone, but being able to hit them after Deads and Cleans. I was pretty enthused about it. I would have stayed and polished off my back, but I was due home. Great workout day, I'm really excited about the new PR's.

I also brought chalk today and left my wraps. I need to work on my raw grip.

Thats a badass workout, very intense. Congrats on the PR buddy!!!

Fights tomorrow night!!!! Too bad I'm working:(

Thanks. My legs are already pretty sore. I would be more excited about the fight if I weren't so confident that my guy isn't going to win (Rampage).

I'd have died after the deadlifts and full cleans.

You are impressive man!

I have mixed feeling on who to go for.....I really don't know.....I really can't stand the how ignorant rampage is in some of his interviews, I'm sure you know which ones I'm talking about with Ariel Helwani and even the new one with them 2, ugh, ya I'm going for Bones!

Congrats, big V. Way to put the crush on them weights, bruddah.

You can still perform cleans without a full squat, even if you're placing of the barbell isn't quite right. It's what I've been doing until this week really, and thanks bro. It was a murderous workout.

yea either hang power cleans, or just high cleans.
Its the damn WRIST. Like I said earlier... I think it's all about the fear of losing control of the weight when I clean it up to my neck.

.....wow

Tell me you watched the fight.

Yeah.... I can't say I wasn't fully expecting that, but it still sucked as it unfolded. The Nate/Gomi fight was cool. Nate looks way better at his current division. I don't know if Rashad will do any better. I'm of the camp that the best person to challenge JBJ is Lyoto Machida, but who knows. People with JBJ's reach aren't suppose to be able to retract those limbs so quickly and be so agile. He's a freak of nature like Brock, except JBJ has the formidable talent to fully exploit his freakishness for the sake of MMA.

For sure, that was 100% my concern as well (until about a week ago), but if you stay at it the confidence will come. I was hang cleaning up to 225lbs for reps, but doing it the "legit" way, I gotta start back from the bottom and re-build those numbers back up.

Yea. I think I'm gonna start trying from an empty bar.
Thanks man.

As always your workouts continue to impress.

I have been looking into the Formula X it looks sweet and would be perfect for me to use during my current run. I just need to try to get some cash together for it. I am thinking it would be great to keep test up. That or maybe during the PCT would be good. Any thoughts from the Athletix guys? Many people use it in PCT?

Consider yourselves invited to come and see what NTBM Transaderm can do for me with no specific changes to diet and only minor changes to training style.

Cool deal. I'll be there.

bones again looked unreal, easy fight for him and easy fight to guess. He has too many tools.

Way too many tools for Rampage. Rampage is in an odd spot I think. He's too elite for the Matt Hamills of the world, but he's too one dimensional and predictable for the elite.

Those front kicks to the knee must have killed! Now that you said it, I would like to see that match up Machida vs JBJ, that would be very interesting, did you see the new interview of Steven Segal? lol

I would definitely use it in PCT, thats the best use for it, I liked it during my AL/AH cycle, I found it did keep libido high, but I do find it has better use in PCT.

Formula-X can really be used for so many things, could be used during cycle, PCT, natty cycle, non stim pre-workout and my current favorite use for FormulaX is Intra-Workout, it's been great for Recovery!

No, I haven't seen the new Seagal interview, but you just gave me something to look up. There was a lot of people rooting for JBJ at the place where I was watching it and when JBJ won, there was mass mumoring of "the old school is dead, it's all about the new school, the old school is dead." I would still consider GSP and Andy Silva from the old school, but I guess the FW, LW, LHW and HW could be considered the "new school."

Cain is kind of new school so is Brock.

Looking back at the fight, Rampage had to chance. I still think some old timers will pull out a few more wins, a lot of new athletes, not fighters are maknig their way into the sport. they are being much smarter with diet, conditioning, and being well rounded comapred to some of these guys who just master a discipline. the old timers do evolve but dont use it in their game plans as effectively. The sport changes so fast.

I am so sick of Steven Segal and wanting to mentor these MMA guys.

Hmm, I got 6 weeks to scrounge up the money for this lol. I want it for my PCT. I just hope it doesn't make my stomach mad...

VolcomX~ You are indeed killing it in the gym. Notice anything else while taking the AthleticX? P

I'm exhausted, so I'll have to apologize for a potential lack of enthusiasm post. I had a good workout, so I'm happy about that, but I'm just exhausted. My cousine from Taiwan is in town, so went down to San Diego to watch the Dodger/Padres game and he got to meet his hero, Hung Chi Quo. Apparently, Hung Chi Quo is to Taiwan, what Yao Ming is to China, a local boy who made it big in the U.S. sports leagues. Therefore, we got home late last night and it's finally catching up to me now.

Flat Bench
185lbs x 10 reps
225lbs x 10 reps
245lbs x 10 reps
275lbs x 8 reps
275lbs x 6 reps
275lbs x 6 reps

Incline Bench
185lbs x 10 reps
205lbs x 10 reps
225lbs x 6 reps

Hammer Dips
180lbs x 10 reps
200lbs x 8 reps
220lbs x 6 reps

Hammer Decline Press
180lbs x 10 reps
200lbs x 10 reps
220lbs x 10 reps

My workout partner and I were done working out and he had left, but I had more energy left over and didn't want it to go to waste, so I decided to hit up an experimental back workout.

Seated Sideways, One Arm Hammer Pull Downs
*feels like a one arm, wide, paralle grip pull up*
90lbs x 10 reps, each arm
100lbs x 10 reps, each arm
110lbs x 8 reps, each arm
120lbs x 6 reps, each arm
120lbs x 6 reps, each arm

Seated Sideways, One Arm Hammer High Row
*feels like a wide, behind the neck pull down*
90lbs x 10 reps, each arm
115lbs x 8 reps, each arm
125lbs x 6 reps, each arm
125lbs x 6 reps, each arm

Seated Sideways, One Arm, Vertical Hammer Pull Downs
*this turns it into a one arm, close parallel grip pull down*
90lbs x 10 reps, each arm
100lbs x 10 reps, each arm
110lbs x 8 reps, each arm
120lbs x 6 reps, each arm

It's not so much that the sport is changing, it's just that the fighters themselves are more organized and they can train full-time. Like you said, there are a lot of athletes coming to MMA and not just "fighters." Perfect example is GSP and Condit; GSP is a super athlete, while Condit is a fighter. You can tell the difference in mentalities by how Jackson coaches them both. With GSP, he's more cerebral and relaxed, but, with Condit, he's more fired up and aggressive.

Sick bench man, I thought my bench was pretty good haha, it's just that it's way out of proportion to my other lifts!! haha

Inclining 225 eh? That's some good stuff.

Man I hear you on the no motivation, I'm sure after a long day out, then a double workout at the gym (Even though you were just testing it probably took even more energy cause you had to think about what you were doing cause it's a new workout!).

Glad you're keeping on the good fight though :D

Thanks. I'm recovered now. I was crashing earlier, maybe paying back some oxygen debt, who knows. My bench is okay, it's been better, but for my current weight I'm very satisfied with the current progession.

Speaking of GSP and Condit. How do you see this one going? I'm getting the same feeling about the GSP/Condit fight as I did about the Rampage/JBJ. Granted, I think Condit has a greater margin of victory to succeed against GSP, then Rampage did against JBJ, but I see the return of GSP the wrestler in this fight and no one is beating GSP when he's actively trying to out-wrestle you. Also, who is Greg Jackson going to strategize for? I know GSP trains at tri-star, but he does use Greg Jackson as his fight strategist, right? Pretty sure. I'm sure Greg would tell GSP to take the fight to the ground and presumably tell Condit to avoid GSP's TD, but that's something every fighter knows to do but can't pull off. Anyone know what the Greg Jackson element will be between these two?

Well, the only supps left in my arsenal are Anabeta, Division I and Titanium XL. The primary and most pronounced symptoms of this combination is a steady week to week progression in performance and decreased duration of DOMS.

How'd you end up in Japan Matt? You're originally from Hawaii, right?

Teaching. The JET program.

I'll be going back home in July though. Then I can hit my gym.... Eat really good food... and probably watch a lot more Tennis, NBA, NFL, UFC....

UFC is planning an event at the Sayatoma Super Arena, that'll be local. I know there's a lot of Japanese in Hawaii, but they tend to be very "island," what do you think about the culture in Japan, Japan? Taiwan is a pretty small island, so when something is cool or trendy, EVERYBODY is wearing it, cutting their hair like it, driving it..... I hear sushi is cheap in the right places in Hawaii, is that true with Japan as well? and how often do you have Kobe Beef? Cause that's what I'd be all over.

In hawaii it seems like the Japanese still believe in the clean, simple, mannerism, but here... it's like level MAX hah. They have slippers for everything. Like it's to the point where it's nonsense. Also, in Hawaii we have The Bon Festival Dances every weekend for like 3 months, in Japan it's for like 3 days. And it's something that barely anyone goes to. Where as in Hawaii it's like the thing to do on the weekends if you are a high schooler. Japanese here are definitely different from those in Hawaii. MUCH more relaxed. Well except my grandma... but her family is like most ppl here... have to clean up and provide EVERYTHING for guests, so much to the point where they have decided that inviting people is something they will NEVER do again. In Japan people like it but the things they notice is different.

Sushi in Japan is cheap at ANY 100 en sushi bar.. hahah. In Hawaii Sushi is pretty cheap at the kaiten sushi, the kind where they put the sushi on a conveyor belt. Not in the $1 range for fish, but 2 bucks for 2 is about right for the Maguro/Tuna.

I actually like grass fed australian beef, but my friends go to Kobe to eat it. All the meat that is made in Japan is MUCH fattier. Also, it's MUCH more expensive lol. maybe like $40 a pound? haha.

Things that are popular are definitely KNOWN by everyone, and EVERYONE looks the same as far as style/fashion.... sad really. Anyone who isn't doing what is popular is considered odd. Which is sad because they don't have much variety....

After re-watching the McDonald/Condit fight, which was a BS stoppage, I have less confidence in Condit. This will most likely be a wrestling clinic by GSP on Condit and I have no clue about the cornering situation.

Condit is riding high on momentum, but I think his momentum supercedes his actual talent at the moment. I like Condit, but I see a rerun of GSP/Alves, except Condit doesn't have the brute strength Alves did to muscle his way back to his feet.
