Volcom’s, Controlled Labs NEW White Flood CAPS (Sponsored TESTER)

Berating someone over the internet is just stupid, Those people are obviously immature and have some sort of issues themselves, stemming from what I would imagine was/is poor parenting.

I felt really bad for that chick that was getting knocked on from those pictures of the red Integra. Ya, I laughed a little, but that's just messed up. From what I'm told she is handling it well, but it's still horrible. How can you not feel bad for someone in that situation?

Some people are just messed up, big time. Fortunately I don't see a TON of it on AM. It seems like if someone says something out of line, they are usually called out on it, at least within our group/clique. We've got a pretty good set of guys/gals here, and I'm happy about that.

Yeah, that was brutal to read through.

amen to that dood. i was first attracted to signing up here after seeing so many threads where people were selfless in helping others out, whatever they might ahve needed. from something as simple as starting a diet, or advanced as techniques used in westside, they were HELPED, not called an idiot and left to fend for themselves.

cant say that about a lot of forums.

Yeah. When I first signed up, people helped me out pretty liberally. I luckily didn't have the experience where "veterans" would call me a douche and tell me to go do my own research (not everyone is that lucky), so I was hooked from the start.

wait... the dude who killed himself was the dude who posted the car pics with the chick and the dog?

oh the wonderful world that is the internet. people are so badass behind a screen. i always wonder what people look like (size, strength, etc), especially when they post as if they are a wealth of knowledge on a subject.

Yeah, I abuse people's knowledge here candidly. Like Volcom, I always ask questions. About anything and everything. I just want to learn as much as I can from people who actually know what they are doing.

BTW that video is sureal. I never want to go through something like that.

That Anonymous Forum is ridiculous. Half of it are other company reps undermining USPLabs, a quarter of it are cowards "calling out" other members and the other quarter are haters hating on whatever they can hate on. Yet it's hard to look away. I get partly disgusted and partly entertained and partly angry whenever I visit that forum.
I NEVER go to that accursed section. It's filled with haters, weaklings, and cowards. I have heard that I have been mentioned in there as well. That shit holds no power over me. I have no place in my life for negativity. NONE!! My power is of the light variety. Positive and good. I refuse to let others' dark negative energy rob me of my precious power. What others say about you and how they see you is of little concern. It matters most how you see yourself!! I am the Son of Odin the All-Father. Filled with his goodness and power. The Thundergod. That's who I AM!! :box:

Subjective to knee function and leg extremities. I like beyond parallel, but I'm not a purest on @$$ to grass. Some people have such long legs that an @$$ to grass position places their torso too far tilted forward, and they have to overcome a good-mornings exercises while attempting to squat. If you have shorter legs and can maintain a straight torso, then @$$ to grass; greater range of motion, activates other muscles such as glutes and hips in a deeper fashion, the further down you travel, the greater force is required to reverse that negative momentum, which has enormous implications on muscle force, requires greater core contraction the further down you go, as it requires greater stability and balance....etc., I could go on. However, as mentioned before, I'm no purest. I think there are plenty of situations where parallel will suffice, much has to do with knee conditions, lumbar conditions and again, leg and torso extremities. When an @$$ to grass turns into a good-mornings/squat, then I'm for parallel. If you can go @$$ to grass without a diminished performance due to awkward body positioning, then @$$ to grass holds many more benefits then parallel.

Invalid Link Removed Guilty, if I literally tried to squat @$$ to the grass I'd probably stay there Invalid Link Removed...with a crushed tailbone
Doing front squats alleviates this forward-tilt to a degree and I can ALMOST touch the grass with my @$$ when I do them but I can never go as heavy on fronts as I can on traditional squats 'cause if I try, I find myself uncomfortably gasping for air  Anyone else with that problem ?

The warnings are bull$hit. All of those shoulder do's and don'ts have a caveat. Personal shoulder ROM. For exmaple, people who only do 90 degree shoulder presses, if it's a shoulder ROM limitation issue, then that's alright, but it gets abused when perfectly well abled people faggo rep because they read some article somewhere and think they are in the know for faggo repping. Same with bench, people who 90 degree bench, if its a shoulder issue, then you do what you can, but too many people abused it by faggo repping to put up more weight.

Behind the neck military and lat pulls have the reputation of shoulder pinging, it's not true if it doesn't pinge YOUR shoulder. If you want to get into exercises that ought to raise concern, it's the barbell snatch. You throw hundreds of pounds on the bar in full speed into a shoulder hyperextension. Why do some people handle it so well? Shoulder ROM.

Bodybuilding isn't black & white. The behind the neck, don't go pass parallel BS is only applicable to physical limitations. If you are not limited by the ROM or the mechanics of the movement, then you're fine.

Hell, I screwed my elbows for life performing over head skull crushers. Perfectly safe exercise, but over years my elbow got worn, so I can't perform skull crushers, which is why I do the laying Db extensions, not because I like them better, but I'm physically relegated to them. The barbell biceps curl is proned to give carpal tunnel, perfectly safe exercise. Our bodies perform different and can handle different mechanics more or less efficiently.

No faggo reps allowed in this log.

:bow28:

...and on that subject I better start doin' some behind the neck militaries :D

Questions are welcomed. I used to harass Strategicmove, Easy and Rodja about supplements all the time when I was new. I'd never heard of any of the companies represented at AM and I "thought" I was in the know.

My first AM inspired supplement were Halodrol Liquigels, that goes to show how all of us have our humble beginnings. My second AM inspired run was RPM/Drive/X-factor, so I redeemed myself by my second try Invalid Link Removed

I have left knee cartilage issues, so I always have to decrease my ROM has I progress. I start off arse to weeds, but as the weight increase and my left knee becomes further aggravated, I have to stick with parallel.

I once ignored these yellow flags and during mid squat a sharp radiating pain shot in my left knee and caused my left knee to automatically fail and lose control. Had I not had a spotter with me at the time, I would have fell over to the left with 275lbs on my back.

I haven't done "heavy" free squats since. I can still use the smith, but the sharp pains still occur.

Apart from all that, I think I've explained before as to why I sort of have to choose between heavy deads OR heavy squats. Currently, I can't do either :whiner:

From what I can tell, Gaspari kicked Sergio Jr. off of the team. I heard some talk of this from guys around the gym here. I guess they didn't appreciate his arrogance.

I actually had a surprisingly positive experience on the Halo Liquigels. I thought I was taking a sugar pill for the first 10 days, but once it kicked in, I did get stronger. Of course it wasn't a GREAT experience, but better then what people's hate was reflecting.

In my typical state of mind or even a diminished state, I don't let internet comments get to me. Sometimes I'll go over to the A.A. section and make an anonymous post that cracks on me, to see if people will continue to make fun of me ;)

"Force of Green, you fudge your numbers you faggot, pansy-ass liar! I'm calling you out you whiny b*tch!" lol... that would be me ;)

I used to have a major problem of holding things in and not taking jokes to well. But then again, there were extreme situations.

When I was 16, I was a rookie lifeguard on the beach. I was working the same beach as my swim coach (35 years old and also a science teacher) and a couple more older guys. I was very scrawny at that age as well and didn't really handle the 'big boy' jokes. So I got picked on. The beach was dead (very little people there) so I was also physically picked on by my swim coach and no one was around to see it. I had my face shoved in the sand and almost drowned when I had my head held under water, because it was 'funny' and it killed time. I had some things held in for a while and one day they kept sexually harassing me for 2 hours straight... I channelled my reaction the wrong way. I went up to the boardwalk into the room where we have our supplies and grabbed the baseball bat that we used for home run derby and totalled the guys car in a matter of 2 minutes. Needless to say, I was moved to another beach. The beach supervisor didn't fire me, because he was friends with my dad. When I tried explaining what happened, I was ignored and told, "you gotta lighten up and learn how to take a joke!"

I'm better about things now. Every once in a while, I'll feel like I'm being targetted or picked on and I'll start sweating and feeling my pulse rate shoot up. A verbal warning usually stops the situation.

I can't handle that BS dude. People that disrespect others for absolutely no reason.

My brother is a part of that crowd. He's a firefighter and it's like their freakin' pastime to knock on each other at the station. My brother always tells me about certain guys that can't handle it and all that and how they need to lighten up. I get so pissed off at him and those guys sometimes. There are some people that just can't take it. Learn to accept that and don't give them a hard time. There is a reason why people commit suicide.

It just goes to show that age doesn't mean crap when you are talking about maturity. He's almost 30 and still needs to grow up.

...but I love him. He's my bro and we're best friends. :)

Yeah, I feel ya. When joking around, their must be a limit and a mindful level of empathy involved.

The other day, a few of us teased DBoy about his picture with his underwear said he's got a little pee pee... but then I repped him and said, "nah just kidding man."

There's a limit to everything.

Couldn't agree more. AM is all about learning. I started off with Axis Labs' SMASH, and once you start you can't stop! I've been learning along the way, and have had many great mentors. Also I've mastered the search tool like nobody's business (Actually using google is probably the best, so you can search for terms with <4 chars)

Yes and most of the searches lead back to AM anyways!

Day 35; Bi's

I performed regular, good ole fashioned bi's today. No forearm fronted business, just bi's. However, I did not really expect myself to pull through a workout last night, it being Friday night, compounded by some real life stressors. Therefore, I did not record numbers, but I do know the exercises.

1. Preacher Curls x 4 sets
2. Concentrated Db Curls x 4 sets
3. Overhead Curls (Lat Pull Downs) x 3 sets
4. Cable High Curls x 3 sets
5. Preacher, One Arm curls x 3 sets

Look at that, no excessive sets, odd exercises or confounding order of exercises. This was an American Pie and Baseball of biceps workouts, which I'm not normally accustomed to.

DTH/Sunami: I don't really feel the 4DTHC/2Sunami combo is working out that great for me. For me, I seem to need the minimal 6/3 combo. If I had the money, I'd go 8/3. I'll probably continue to run 4/2 until my Sunami runs out, then I'll bump my DTHC up to 6.

I'm still taking the Icariin-50. However, I believe I've long reached Icariin's threshold for beneficial effects. At this point, I'm most likely maintaining optimal circulation of testosterone (which isn't bad), but as far as elevating test levels above threshold via the Icariin.... I knew and expected to be stonewalled at a healthy, but not extravagant threshold based on research.

White Flood. I've been reporting about my Black Hole stim tolerance and I hate to beat a dead horse with you guys, but since this is a White Flood log, I'd hate to only be reporting on my Get Diesel experience. My stim or just energy based anything tolerance has gone from resistant to impervious. I've never ran an energy supp for more then 20 days. Even fat burners I only take up to 30 days, and by then, the fat burner's energy effects have become a sugar pill. I'll have a good report to write at the end of this, White Flood served me very well, while my system allowed it to.

That bugs me so bad! A lot of supplements have a short abbreviation that most people refer to them as, and it makes it very difficult to find info sometimes.

It took me awhile to catch on to the abbreviations and I always felt retarded.

"No OTC's for your PCT, IMO, but IDK, its up to you. SERMS are a must for all PH/PS and a solid AI with natty boosters, FTW. OT, All I want is some R.E.S.P.E.C.T, no homo, FTW, lolz, Epi 4-eva."

and I'm like.... maybe I'm a bit down syndrome, but what.... ???

Yes and most of the searches lead back to AM anyways!

That's actually, literally true. I found AM when I first googled, "Bulk Leucine" and I got Nutraplanet. A lot of times I'll google some other supplement and it'll point me back to some thread here at AM.

There's a limit to everything.

That's cool. Getting dissed when you put up a picture has to suck. You do leave yourself exposed to it whenever you do post a pic, but it does leave you a bit vulnerable and probably extra sensitive to any form of feedback. I have to assume you only post pics for something you feel proud of and to have that shot down, ouch...

Just happened to catch this in my morning paper.. wtf..

Teen commits suicide on webcam
RASHA MADKOUR Associated Press
MIAMI – A South Florida college student killed himself by overdosing on drugs in front of a live online audience as some computer users egged him on, others debated his method, and some tried to talk him out of it.

Abraham Biggs, 19, of Pembroke Pines, died Wednesday at his home from a toxic combination of opiates and benzodiazepine, a drug used to treat insomnia and depression, said Wendy Crane, an investigator with the Broward County medical examiner’s office.

Authorities say the Broward Community College student is not the first person to commit suicide with a webcam rolling.

It’s unclear how many people were watching through the Web site BodyBuilding.com. Someone finally notified a site moderator, who pinpointed Biggs’ location and called police, but they arrived too late to save him, Crane said.

Biggs, who used the screen name “CandyJunkie” on the bodybuilding Web site, started blogging about plans to kill himself 12 hours before he was found lying dead on his bed. He posted a link from BodyBuilding.com to Justin.TV, a site that allows users to broadcast live videos from their webcams.

Some users who read the blog told investigators they did not take him seriously because he had threatened suicide on the site before.

But Biggs’ family was infuriated that neither viewers nor the site acted sooner to save him.

“When (police) came in, the webfeed stopped. So that’s 12 hours of watching,” said his sister, Rosalind Bigg, who said her brother struggled with bipolar disorder. “They got hits, they got viewers, nothing happened for hours.”

She described her brother as a friendly, social, outgoing person who struck up conversations with Starbucks baristas and enjoyed taking his young nieces to Chuck E. Cheese.

“It boggles the mind,” she said. “We don’t understand.”

Authorities could not immediately verify the authenticity of a video posted online that shows a gun-wielding officer entering a bedroom where a man is lying on a bed, facing away from the camera. The officer peers over to look at the man, then begins to examine him as the camera lens is covered.

The video matches Crane’s description of events.

Condolences poured in to Biggs’ MySpace page.

The Web site Justin.TV declined to release information on how many people were watching the broadcast. The entire site had 672,000 unique visitors in October.

Messages left with the bodybuilding Web site were not immediately returned Friday.

I'm with you here bro. I had arthroscopic surgery on my right knee way back in 1990. I know, I'm old. ha ha And I had my left one drained and rehabbed before that. So I only go to parallel also. And it's also a habit from the powerlifting I used to play with. Parallel was all you had to do. Any deeper and my knees tell me about it. But I can do heavy leg presses all the way deep and not hurt from it. I now do machine squats and even though they are very hard, they don't kill my knees like ass-to-grass squats do. :aargh:

I expected that to be in the news. I haven't been watching TV so I don't know if it ever made it on there.

...but about his family being infuriated with people on the bodybuilding forum? Come on. I understand that it's hard to accept certain things in that situation, but blaming other people for not "acting sooner" is way out of line. He obviously had some personal issues and they don't want to come to that conclusion quite yet.

AAAAAAAAAND that wraps up my back workout. I felt my bi's burning in the beginning, most assuredly as a result of last nights biceps workout and I felt my posterior delts burning in the beginning, most assuredly from the shoulder workout about 3 hours prior.

I'll be looking forward to incorporating more horizontal movements back into my Back workout ASAP, pending lumbar/erectors recovery.

My lat pull downs were significantly stronger today. DTHC/Sunami? Maybe, and/or a combination effect of the DTHC/Sunami and my body re-establishing it's neuromuscular familiarization. Either way, outstanding back workout, especially for it being "technically" my third workout, if you count HIIT as a session in of itself.

Way to kill it, killer!! That's some mad volume bro. I got fatigued just reading it. LOL I know Irish Cannon is going to chime in any second now and say that's more sets than he does for back in a month!! So I had to beat him to it. Of course at my age, I've done almost every type of routine there is. I've done the high volume stuff in the past. I liked it. I just don't seem to respond as well to it as I do to lower volume and higher intensity. And my poundages would always drop off when I do lots and lots of sets. But you have an amazing ability to do both lots of sets, and also keep the poundages very heavy at the same time. You're a machine, Big V!!!

Thanks TG. I may venture back over to a more HIT style lifting myself. I'm still transitioning from volume to strength, which is why my rep range will be from 15 as far down as 5-6 reps. I just need to make up my mind, I know "optimal" adaptions occur when you pick a side, rather then having a mixed bowl.

I don't think I can find any words for this, TG beat me to it
This is more than I would do in 6 months, crazy stuff Volcom :bow28:

Lots of volume and lots of weight, where do you stop man ?!!! Invalid Link Removed :)

Those 7-days of rest have done you very well, don't rest too often in future please, you'll make us all look LAME :p

Thanks Dragonfly, I appreciate the words, but its all relative. My volume is high, but my weights are fairly decent for my size.

True fact. Studies regarding lower body strength; Men have higher (lower body) absolute strength, however, women have higher (lower body) relative strength. Meaning, men can push more weight, period, no surprise there, however, women can push more weight, relative to their body mass. This is not the case for upper body strength, but lower body, women are slightly more legit then men.

I think most people understand the difference between absolute strength vs relative strength, if I did not make this clear, feel free to ask.
