Just curious what type of greens drink you would recommend.

I work for a chiropractor so I get good deals on all of his products. Personally I use the Chiropractors Blend Protein and Greens Drink. All natural and organic sources. It has 8g of protein in it too. So I get my greens and also a bit of protein to go along with it which is really nice.

I use Trader Joes. I listed ingredients here, search for it.

You did that for me actually, so thanks! It's good stuff by the way.

Has anyone tried straight spirulina powder? I know that it's no substitute for green vegatables, but a lot of us are already stocking up on super multivitamins and zma anyway.

You do NOT want to lower pH; you want to increase it.

1. Multi-V/M
2. Fish and Krill Oil
3. Sesamin
4. Anti-O blend (Na-RALA, GTE, NAC, GSE, etc.)
5. ALCAR

my 5:

1. Multi V
2. Digestive
3. Fish Oil
4. Protein
5. Good diet

1. vitamin d
2. coconut oil
3. kyo-green (mix of chlorella, wheat grass, kelp etc)
4. l-tyrosine
5. raw cacao powder

Interesting lists here, guys. Keep em' coming. It's very interesting to me to see what everyone considers their base supplements.

For me, it's :
1. Vitamin D (lacking for those of us in the north)
2: Fish Oil (balance out Omegas 3-6-9)
3: Beta Sitosterol (cholesterol support)
4: Cissus (joint support)
5: Good Whey/Protein after workout drink.

Disclaimer: I like the writeup on Resveratrol but I get tendonitis anytime I take it for consecutive days.

I read somewhere that Beta Sitosterol reduces all cholesterol across the board, including HDL, not good if true.

Haven't heard this, but not denying that it could be true. This is why I go with Toco-8; it's been proven to raise HDL and lower LDL.

That is incorrect.

Lipase-Catalyzed Synthesis of Conjugated Linoleyl beta-Sitosterol and Its Cholesterol-Lowering Properties in Mice.

Li R, Jia CS, Yue L, Zhang XM, Xia QY, Zhao SL, Feng B, Zhong F, Chen WJ.

Coconut Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences, Wenchang 571339, Hainan, China.

Conjugated linoleyl beta-sitosterol (CLS) was prepared from beta-sitosterol and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) via lipase-catalyzed synthesis in n-hexane in the presence of molecular sieves. Its plasma cholesterol-lowering properties were also studied. The optimal biosynthesis conditions were as follows: beta-sitosterol concentration of 50 mumol/mL, the molar ratio of CLA to beta-sitosterol of 1:1, the lipase concentration of 20 mg/mL, and 4 A molecular sieve concentration of 60 mg/mL in n-hexane at 50 degrees C with vigorous shaking of 150 rpm for 72 h, and the highest yield of CLS reached 72.6%. The isolated CLS mixed with mice feed had good cholesterol-lowering properties. It decreased serum total cholesterol (TC), serum triacylglycerols (TAGs), serum low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), atherogenic index (AI), liver weight (LW), liver index (LI), liver TC, and TAGs of mice, which was shown that CLS could prevent the formation of atherosclerosis and moderate the fat pathologic changes of liver. However, the HDL-C was not decreased, which proved the advantage of CLS over the other cholesterol-lowering products.

I works I have used it for years to lower my cholesterol, it is also good for the prostate.

life support
good anti-o blend
multi
Omegas

fifth choice is open, currently going with Quadrcarn as a carnitine blend

not sure why folks are listing protein, thought this was more of a life extension kinda list....

I see a lot of tocco-8 talk, but arn't most of us getting enough vitamin E from our sports multis? Isn't it easy to overdose on it?

most forms of multi's are only alpha tocopherol, which is easy to get too much of and in turn lessens the effects of other forms of vit E. Toco-8 has a proven balance of all 8 forms for optimal health benefits.

-Vitamin D
-Fish Oil
-Alcar
-Green Tea (When I have extra $)
-Protein Blend

Honestly Vitamin D will probably be in my medicine cabinet for the rest of my life. For all you guys that get curcumin what kind do you use. I have tried it before and thought it was awesome but it was made by a local company who has since gone out of business.

Top three:
vitamin d
omega 3
multi vitamin

Other good stuff:
Resveratrol
Alcar
Tea/green tea
Cod Liver Oil

Only occasionally (when I get around to it):
Milk thistle
Grapeseed extract
Alpha lipoic acid

Foods:
Nuts
Extra Virgin Olive oil
Berries
Fish

Kriil oil with DHA
Na-R-ALA or K-R-ALA
Vitamin D3(Cholecalciferol)
probiotics
adaptogens

Among this list: Clean/healthy diet and exercise is a must!

I will be honest, I am not well versed with the Greens drink, so am going to try to get on board. What do all you Greens people think of this nutritional break down:

I've used it, it's very good. Trader Joes is as good or better, and much cheaper.

I'm eating a bag of this right now, someone gave me a sample, awesome stuff:

We need Nutra to carry it.

the energy i get from drinking one glas filled with kyo-green is unmatched by any other supplement, unmatched!

Choline, no?

Hey, greens lovers, chime in my thread here, if you're interested:

I vouch for the flavor, odd but GOOD!

1. Vit D in fall, winter, spring then replace with natural beta carotene in summer.
2. Fish oil. Krill if I can afford it.
3. Zinc/Magnesium
4. Pomegranate extract
5. Vit C 3-4 grams per day

I'd do the greens as well if I could afford them. I just try to eat lots of raw veggies instead.
