Brock is a freak. I used to watch WWE just to see that freak of nature. He will be heavyweight champ once he beats Coture. You can't teach his power and size and he busts his a$$ in the gym and will improve his flaws over time.
Yeah, the heel hook he got caught in is a total noob mistake. You figure that sh*t out pretty quickly.
That being said, Couture is no joke... He has a lot of tricks up his sleeve.
Speaking of noobs... Anyone going to enjoy seeing Kimbo get dominated this weekend?

I was trying to go see it live, I can't wait to see that. Tickets were rediculous
When, who and what station? (Kimbo)
True about Couture, I don't ever count him out. He has mad experience, an intelligent fight mind, and much better at implementing and executing fight strategies. Not to mention he has awareness of the octagon and knows how to pace himself to remain effective the entire fight.
Currently, Couture's strongest suit is his dirty boxing, but he'll have to be able to control Brock in a clinch for that to be effective and I don't see Couture controlling the raging bull, unless Brock gets gassed, which is always a possibility. He comes out with all pistons firing and that can only last so long. However, Brock doesn't need all pistons firing to handle someone of Couture's stature. If Brock can control his nerve, pace himself somewhat and remain clear minded, he's going to be a nasty obstacle.
I'm betting on Brock, but I'm not counting Couture out.
I was so excited to hear Kimbo was going to fight Shamrock. Then I realized it was Ken and not Frank. I am sorry, but Ken is washed up to the point where I don't think he can take Kimbo. Will be very interesting if Ken can get him on the ground.

I actually think she is really attractive. She's huge. I've seen her up close several times in NY.
I think she's got a pretty @$$ face. Does she look good up close, too?
Yeah, rookie mistake. He was absolutely dominating Mir though. Experience is everything.Yeah, the heel hook he got caught in is a total noob mistake. You figure that sh*t out pretty quickly.
I agree, but I still simply cannot imagine what kind of game plan he can come up with to stop Brock. I keep hearing people say things, and I've read arguments and understand both sides, but it's like no matter what people say and what I know Couture is capable of... I still simply cannot see this match up working to Couture's advantage in any way. I just don't see how he can possibly win this fight. That being said, Couture is no joke... He has a lot of tricks up his sleeve.
I'll catch it on the internet later. You couldn't pay me to waste my Saturday night watching that garbage.Speaking of noobs... Anyone going to enjoy seeing Kimbo get dominated this weekend?
Damn! That's the same time that "Rampage" will be on SPIKE TV. Which one to watch? Watch one and record the other! :lol:CBS (HD) on Saturday night. 9:00 to 11:00 EST. Not sure how they will run it on the Best Coast.

Invalid Link RemovedBy the way, I was going to ask you guys...
What's the rationale behind some guys doing deadlifts with both palms down or some guys doing them with one down, one up...
I've tried both ways. But if you go one up, one down - you'd need to swap hands to avoid imbalance I would think?

The Mixed Grip. When both palms face your body you have 8 fingers on 1 side of the bar and 2 thumbs on the other side. Your thumbs will give out first with heavier weights. The solution is to switch to the mixed grip.
* 1 Palm Facing You, 1 Palm Facing Away. This puts 4 fingers & 1 thumb on both sides of the bar. Both thumbs are supported by 4 fingers. Check the picture at the top for an example of the mixed grip.
* Face Your Dominant Hand Away. Tends to be the strongest position. Use it on your heaviest set. Alternate the supine/pronated hand on each of your submaximal sets to avoid muscle imbalances.
I love this part!!! :twisted:WAR REPORT: Yes, yes, yes, yes, YES!! :aargh:! Now we are doing it to it! This Oral Trenbolone is in full effect now. I felt uber-beastly this morning. Like I could eat chain and spit nails!
No sweat, bro! :thumbsup:Thanks! I'm going to read up on this...
im actually looking for a new pair of heavy duty straps because i lost my old ones at the gym. Ive been doing deads for awhile now with double overhand no straps grip. Only going mixed grip for last set but i feel my grip can only take so much and i want to pull more weight so i need to remedy this with straps. I much rather do it double overhand than risk a tear or imbalance with mixed grip deads.
exactly. it comes into play when you can do more reps with that near max weight but you get cut short because the bar is slipping. I had APT prowriststraps and they were thick as sh1t, could prob handle 1000+ pounds. Ill look into Versa's thanks Volcom. We were next to Versa Grip at the Olympia and they really are great straps. But I would use them only as needed so you don't lose forearms and grip strength.
See if this sh!t fires you guys up like it does me!! :aargh: Invalid Link Removed
I'm with you piston. Now that I don't powerlift anymore, I do all deads (stiff-leg only here lately) with straps using an overhand grip. I don't have to concentrate on gripping instead of lifting the damn weight! I use my straps for shrugs, pulldowns, and rows also. I can feel the weight in my lats better and I can definitely use more weight with straps. I got an old Harbinger spring-type hand gripper to work my grip strength with. I'm not trying to work my grip when I'm doing dead or rows. LOLim actually looking for a new pair of heavy duty straps because i lost my old ones at the gym. I thought you knew about it and just weren't showing up. Not everyone wants to be associated with my crazy ass!! :fool2::lol: Scroll back a few pages and catch a few of my DC/Thundergod workouts bro. I've been having some Berzerker fun up in here!! Kill and destroy type sh!t!! :numbered::saw:THUUUUNDER !! THIS IS WHERE YOU HIDING ?!
I'm in, brother !
Hey braddah. I know a lot of people think that Harbinger makes cheap sh*t, but I have a set of Harbinger's Dura-Grip Wrist Wraps that have a rubber ribbed side that always faces the bar. It sucks onto the bar and will not slip. They're thick as Hel. They were a little stiff curling around the bar at first. But now that they're broke in, I wouldn't part with them. And they were only $10 a pair at D!ck's Sporting Goods. I don't know if that's a big national chain, or more localized to my area. But you should be able to find them almost anywhere. Everybody sells Harbinger stuff.exactly. it comes into play when you can do more reps with that near max weight but you get cut short because the bar is slipping.
