THUNDERGOD ROLLS OUT A RECOMP..........REALLY!! (sponsored)

I bet TG's weights have an inferiority complex. Can you imagine the abuse when TG yells at you and bitch slaps you all day? I almost feel sorry for them poor things.

I'm off to the gym myself to destroy my back. Thx for the moring motivation.

Either that or they are the happiest weights in the world from getting so much good use.

these numbers always shock me. doing bent over rows with more than your body weight would mean your stabilizer muscles are highly tuned.

intense brotha.

315 doesn't sound all that heavy to me. Not when I watch Kevin Levrone and Ronnie Coleman and others using 500!!

but you're not on 3g of test and god knows how much trenbolone and GH. not to downplay what they've achieved, but if you were on the same cycles they have done, my bet is you'd be pulling equal if not more weights.

I still compare myself with when I was on gear. I can't help but do it.

Yesterday I only squatted 315x4. When I was on gear I was cranking 315x15, yet I still compare myself to when I was at that point.

It's hard to accept the fact that it wasn't really you lifting that weight...or at least to a certain extent.

That's a shocking difference in weight between on/off!! I think I would just hurt myself now if I ever decided to try gear. I want to go heavy all the time but, everytime I do I stain something. Father time controls my weights now to a certain extent. :~(

Hey TG, nice weights, hows my role model today?
You wont believe what i just did, i had forgotten id put my trione powder in a beta alanine container, dont ask me why, at the time it seemed sensible, so i mixed up my p-slin, with 100 grams waxy maize, 55 grams protein, 7 grams bcaa, 3 grams cissus, and 2 grams beta alanine, only it was trione powder, I tasted trione powder once before and it was vile, but this shake wich i downed half of before id even realised, was the most disgusting tase in my life, it was like drinking urine with an electric current being passed through it, yuk, 1 hour later and its all i can taste...guys dont do trione.

May the joy of this season be with all of you.

Merry Christmas
Frohes Weihnachten
Happy Solstice

Hahaha, bro, CLASSIC mistake ! .. and FOUL $hit right there ! Any stomach discomfort following it ? Any spontaneous erections !? hahahaha .. :gas:

I just lit my yule log with that one G!
Russian, "urine with electric current running thru it" WTF??

how long has this been up for me not to notice it? I am in for the prime. Mullet is helping me dose my prime on cut next month.

Recomp: Day 4

HIIT CARDIO: 25 minutes. 30 second intervals of high to medium intensity.

Feelin' great today!! I'm still very much a child when it comes to this day. Got the turkey in the oven. Good food all around. I'll have to pick and choose what to eat and what not to eat! LOL

I wish all of you a very blessed, happy, and holy holiday season!!
Love, Thunder :hammer:

I'm still a kid at heart too TG. The Christmas songs playing, fire going, Santa hat on, and the smell of cookies in the oven. It's time to relish the life we have been given. All the best to you and your family! :~)

Most of you have already figured out that the Thundergod is a strange character. No doubt. No arguements from me!
This is a strange song to post on Christmas, but it spoke to me this morning!
We need to count our blesssings. And enjoy them and be thankful. It's a shame to be starving in paradise!!

The song: Pearl Jam's Hunger Strike.

The lyrics:

I don't mind stealing bread
From the mouths of decadents
But I can't feed on the powerless
When my cup's already overfilled.
But it's on the table
The fire is cooking
And they're farming babies
While the slaves are working
The blood is on the table
And their mouths are choking
But I'm Going Hungry!!

Felt very strong this morning. I had loads of energy. Focus was laser-like. Stamina unending. The JACKED has got me jacked!! :woohoo:

Pulling like a machine this morning. Let's just say I was into it! ;)

HAHA, I can't imagine you EVER not being into it TG ! :D

Oh yeah! Thunder-likey!! I was only going to start at about 300, but the sound and looks of 315 was so enticing. Never hold yourselves back!! :nono:

AGREE !!!!

I was really expecting 10 reps with the 150 lbs. but I guess those heavy ass bentover rows before it took a little out of me. Just a little.

What are our limitations? The ones others set for us? Or the ones we set for ourselves? We must discipline our minds as well as our bodies. Most limitations are actually mental and not physical. Train your minds.

And I like the way you post, dragonfly!! Very entertaining and informative at the same time!
Please keep coming back here (and to all of my future threads) to share your input and encouragement. Please.
I need them both.
I know from reading your posts, that you are a true warrior. I sincerely hope that all true warriors will find something useful from my threads. Whether it be encouragemnt, support, help, or just raw motivation and inspiration.

Thanks, my sister in steel!! :head:

Food!! Food!! Glorious food!! :food:
I ate like a starving Ethiopian yesterday!! I decided to do a one-day carb-up experiment. I blew up!! The extra food coupled with the AnabolicPump swole me up. I look 5 lbs. larger! And veins are bursting!
I can't wait to hit legs here shortly!

Oh, and All-Father gave me a great present yesterday. Last night from 7:00 P.M. to 1:00 A.M. I watched all 6 hours of the Met-RX World's Strongest Man Competition 2008!!
All the heats and then the final. It was awesome!! :head:

Motivation Time!!!

I saw this kid, Derek Poundstone, on the 2008 Met-RX World's Strongest Man Competition yesterday. He was actually ahead of Mariusz Pudzianowski during the last few events. But on the final event, the Atlas Stones, his 5th stone slipped off the barrel allowing Mariusz to pick up the win and his 5th record-breaking title!!
But next year, if Mariusz decides to compete, I feel he will have to hand over the title to young Derek Poundstone. A real beastly boy!!

Recomp: Day 5

DAMAGE ASSESSMENT

LEGS

QUADS

LEG EXTENSIONS

200 X 14
110 x 23

Feelin' strong this morning. I knew all that food yesterday would make me incredibly anabolic!! It worked. Legs pumped up quick. I think the AP is really kicking in now.

MACHINE SQUATS
WIDOWMAKERS

360 X 20
225 X 15

The widowmaker set was very intense! I had to dig deep to complete all my reps. No way I was going to stop short. No freakin' way!!

SEATED HORIZONTAL LEG PRESSES

480 X 12
480 X 12

I'm keeping these somewhat light in order to really stay strict and isolate my quads. Gotta make 'em grow!! Accept NO defeat!!

HAMSTRINGS

STIFF-LEGGED DEADLIFTS

360 X 10
255 X 15

Pulling hard on that first set! Felt like I was picking up the earth! The strain through my hams and lower back was incredible. I just love it!! :head:

STANDING ONE-LEGGED HAMSTRING CURLS

110 X 11
70 X 18

Awesome contractions on these. Talk about isolated. I like these much better than the lying variety I did for so many years. And I can see the difference in my hamstrings. That's the main thing.

CALVES

SEATED CALF RAISES

260 X 15
260 X 15

I've got to get these long skinny calves to turn into full-grown bulls!! I cannot sacrifice form for absolute weight however. Gotta keep the tension on the targeted muscles.

STANDING ONE-LEGGED DB CALF RAISES (ala Arnold)

60 lb. DB X 15 reps.

I got a great pump out of these. Calves are starting to cut up now. Got that diamond shaped split and everything!

Another one down. All foes vanquished. All enemies soundly defeated!!
Victory Is Mine!! :hammer:

FIGHT ON DEFENDERS OF THE REALM!! :duel:

Damn TG, if you widowmaker with 360, what is your heavy set with???

Now keep in mind these are Machine Squats. So that makes a difference. They're still freakin' brutal though. I "feel" them in my quads better than regular barbell squats.

I don't do the one heavy set before the widowmakers. My routine is only DC modified. Not a true DC routine. I'm more concerned with the widowmakers. They are blowing my quads straight da fukk up!! :head:

I may give that one heavy set before the widowmakers a try next week and see how it goes.

The heavy set just sounds like its a mental thing... Making the widows feel lighter...

Which I'm not sure is necessary for the most brutal of warriors.

Yeah. I really don't want anything to detract or take away from my widowmaker set.
I also see where most people put the widowmaker set at the end of their routine. But I wouldn't have enough left in the tank to do 'em justice like that. So I do them early in the routine when I have the most energy and strength to dedicate to them. Then I rest for about 3 or 4 minutes to recover.
Then it's on to the rest of the battle!!! :duel:

Yeah, its very new to me brutha... so I gotta tweak my leg day now to figure it out. I have the widow deadlifts down to a science. I decided I'm going to do a widowmaker set @315 tomorrow or Sunday on deadlift. Might need you to send some battle rage my way, but I will f*ck that up.

I did the widow maker squats at the end of my squat reps, but squats are first in my workout. I think I may have done them a little too light, but I will pay dearly for that next time.

Off to do my core day on the TimberSplit. Hopefully will pick up a new video game on the way home, and some Diet Dew. Wifey bought me a new PS3 to replace the one I lost in the robbery - and her sister bought me a membership to GameFly... All couples have some beef, but that girl knows her man.

Timber, widows are risky for your back...injury potential from form slippage focusing so long. I do a warm up to my very heavy set of 6 reps...giving everything to get 6. Rest 2 - 3 mins. and drop the weight to a weight that 12 reps will be a major accomplishment(widowmaker effort). I find that 12 is a good range where the form and focus is peaking. Try it if you likey!!

widowmakers are 20 rep squats..or 10 rep weight pushing as many reps as you can? I used to do 20 rep squats and would go up half a plate till i couldnt anymore. Holy crap it would whoop my butt

20 rep squats at the end of your w/o. Tex your a strong mofo... you should look into dog crap training!

Yeah I thought about it...I experimented with it and have read it is pretty much only suitable for those using AAS. Of course that is not me. So I held off. Currently I have been using pyramids with static holds and am seeing awesome progress on a cut strength wise.

That is false. Its not a beginners program at all, but you don't have to be juicing to do it.

hmm I will most likely save a full blown DC style for summer. I can dig deep during summer months. I need to find a hexbar for deadlifts though. I dropped DL's from my leg day because I kept busting up my knees with a straight BB

I just really like what the 225 Widows are doing for my DL strength... My back always feels great - but yes, there will be an increased risk of injury on 315.

I dunno, the set of 275 before my 225 probably helped me complete my set of 20.
