THE ONION LOG

Onion is antibacterial or antifungal or something like that. Maby in high doses, it's antihuman. This kid might be dead.

You guys are killin me, seriously, how long is spring break anyway, Im waiting for my onion info!!!!!!!

he went to get his blood tested and they stuck the needle in. he didnt like the needle in his arm so he turned green punched the ground and caused the earthquake in haiti.

Am I the only one that caught this? I'm really not understanding why everyone is so excited to be following this "log". For one reason, he's on spring break! That should be reason enough to make any kind of results inconclusive.

And two...drum roll please...

EDIT:
Bloodwork before:

Total Test: 904 ng/dl Range: 200-810
Free Test: 28.2 Range: 8.8-27.0

I will upload after bloodwork after the cycle... thing.

...from the first post in this thread. Those numbers are fairly ridiculous. I would really like to see someone look up what percentile of men he falls into.

How much higher do you think his testosterone will get??? hahaha

You have no soul

JJC. That was what I was getting at way back when this log started. With high #'s like, something is making his test high: Age, anti-estrogens? I expect a decrease in test unrelated to the onions.

Hahaha. Cannot argue with that.

But seriously, how about someone who is more near the middle of the testosterone bell curve give this a shot? (And maybe just post your before and afters in one post...these threads get more and more ridiculous and impossible to follow every day....)

And someone who is not on SPRING BREAK!!!

Agreed. Would not be surprised to see a drop simply because of the natural fluctuations and the fact that I don't see anything natural helping those numbers go up any further than they are already.

Let's temper our expectations with this one. I'd hate for everyone to say it doesn't work because of this particular situation.

Holy Crap, edit coming soon.

If not for that neg I would not have remembered this. Google Talk just told me I had an e-mail from anabolicminds, and I said to myself "****". I had forgotten about this log after spring break. If you guys are still interested in the blood work I can post it up. I did have blood work done just after spring break (21 of April). I was eating onions and garlic to that day.

BEFORE:
Total Test: 904 ng/dl Range: 200-810
Free Test: 28.2 Range: 8.8-27.0

AFTER:
Total Test: 813 ng/dl Range: 200-810
Free Test: 29.4 Range: 8.8-27.0

I'm going to have to say that the increase was not significant enough to warrant everyone to start eating onions and garlic. I will say, though, that maybe I did not give enough time. I had been onions/garlic for around 3 weeks when I had these tests done.

I'm going to continue eating garlic because I like how it tastes, but onions are too much of a hassle. Having to juice/peel/deal with them is annoying and they taste terrible in my opinion. I get blood tests fairly often, so maybe I'll update this next time to see if it has dropped.

Some might wonder why the total test dropped. I can't give a reason, but I do know that total testosterone is the measure of unavailable/bonded testosterone in the body, compared to free test which is the amount of test available to the body.

If anyone can give more insight to this, feel free, please. I'll try to stay active on the boards here on out but school is killing me. It's crunch time.

Hey guys, just heard a recipe for onions. Dip the onions in eggs and then cover them in bread crumbs and stick them in the onion. Vague instructions, sure, but I bet you guys can manage.

I was also wondering, others said they did this as well, SPEAK UP NOW! Tell us how it's going dudes

What did you do over spring break? could that have had an effect on your T levels?

I stopped working out, spent all day in the sun camping and playing frisbee. 4 games of frisbee a day, so roughly 6 hours playing.

I wouldn't have expected my T levels to rise. I lived off of brauts and chocolate milk.

What have your T levels been in the past?

Very good question. At some point in my freshman year of college I was in a depression. Failed 4 classes of 5. My dad suffered a heart attack and almost died. My Free-T then was 18.6 (same range as the other readings). Not low, but not near what I am now.

any drinking?

I'm sure of it, but even if not, this really can't be considered an actual test. We were testing how adding something to his diet affected his T levels, leaving the rest of his diet, work out, alcohol intake, etc. constant. Unfortunately, nothing remained constant at all. Probably not even the onions as soon as spring break started. When was the test done? Before/During/After break?

This was a fun ride, but didn't really lead anywhere other then a few good laughs.

Just came across this thread now so excuse the late entrance :)

I read through the whole thread and I was hoping this would give new meaning to being on the juice.

What could explain your TT levels being different is what time you had them taken, but a 10% fluctuation means nothing it could of been because you had blood taken x amount of hours after going to sleep or waking up.

As for the high levels, I am guessing he would be in the upper 5% for TT level, the way lab ranges are done are they cut off the top and bottom 5 or 10% sometimes even 20% I have heard. Also keep in mind, generally black guys have the highest T levels, so it would come as no surprise to some as he is in the best demographic.

I don't drink alcohol. I don't smoke. My diet consists mostly of meat, egg, cheese, etc., so the diet didn't change much. My level of activity stayed the same, I train most days of the week for sports anyway. The only thing that changed was not lifting for the week.

I agree though, as far as science goes, this was not too accurate.

yea, good work BigBlackGuy

we'll need a lot more anecdotal evidence on this though due to many reasons... 1. being that lab tests themselves are not exactly accurate to the nearest decimal place and have a fairly large margin of error. So yea, 5 - 10% difference doesn't really say anything.

I'm thinking of guinea pigging myself soon. I'll keep you all updated

Hi everyone. I am new to AM but I've been reading this for about a month or so. Anyways for the past 2 weeks I have been blending up an onion and straining it through cheesecloth to separate out the juice, and it yields about a half glass of juice which i chug down raw. I have been doing this every night except for last night and saturday night because I bought a diff type of onion that I couldn't separate the juice from very well. I'm gonna start with the regular onion again tonight and later this week I plan on going to the doc and seeing what my test is. Sorry but I don't know what it was before.

Well, your results will still be more meaningful than BBG's at this point. No offense Big Black Guy.

true, just saying Black guy your test is already incredible, PROPS , ppl here want your test, we need an average test level to see if this is the real deal,.

if someone is gonna do another onion log, plz do, call it ONION LOG RELOADED or some shiznit.

I was actually referring more to BBG's lifestyle changes right in the middle of the experiment, probably skewing the results.

Correction: you would have to eat ONLY 65 grams of raw UNWASHED onion (if you weigh 90kg), to give you 59grams of onion juice , Wich is the dose used in the studies (4g/kg bw. rats converted to daily human dose is about 59 grams of onion juice).... that'it... it's 59grams onion juice TOTAL.. daily... If you guys stop and think about that's TOTALLY EASY. I've seen lots of guys drink absurd quantities og onion juice to get the effect.. I saw a.guy in a forum that was drinking HALF A KILO of onion juice.. a week later he was going through accurate situations everywhere because of his breath breath and body odor. Not to mention that if you take high doses of something that has such a strong hormonal impact like onions, I'm sure there are negative rebound related to overdosing.i saw a guy in a forum that ate onion and after sometime eating them his little partner down there was so hard that it was almost hurting him. That's all fine and dandy, but he said that after some more time using them( he didn't say how much time) his erections got weaker. Wich means that, depending on the impact it has on your hormones, you HAVE TO CICLE ONION.....

Another thing: Why do you guys think that practically nobody sticks with this onion experiment.. because they think they have to eat like 3 onion a day to work when that's not true.. if you have a kitchen scale and measure 65 grams of onion you would be surprised of how little it is.. I've been eating for a week and I think it's doing something.. my erections are a little better lately, but it's too soon to notice something more dramatic. So guys , I HIGHLY RECOMMEND EATING 65 GRAMS OF ONION A DAY, RAW AND ***UNWASHED***

And certainly the smell wouldn't be such a issue with that dose. Zuera
