So would it be safe to say that a guy on a completely boring diet like my present one, this would be a slice of heaven in comparison to what I'm taking in now? I mean lets face it, nothing is ever going to truly compare to good old fashion fat & sugar, but if you can come close and especially when someone is on a fat & sugar restricted diet, close can be interpeted as amazing!

Absolutely worth a go. I used to eat like you until LG. Same thing everyday religiously. Hot sauce hot sauce hot sauce. The LN Cheesecake would be a heavenly addition to your cause.

Green... hasn't anyone showed you how to post the actual youtube video to your post? you put [ yt] uJ3yqtu5Hgc [/yt] and you get the video, the only difference is I left spaces so you could actually see it vs. you just seeing the video, give it a try...

Thanks Doc, learn something new everyday...damn I was trying to figure out why it wasn't showing the image.

Yep, try it out, go find something cool or funny on youtube, then hit the share and copy what it says, because you can only copy the whole thing, then put the [yt ] only the last part up to the first / of what you copied then [/yt] and it will show up!

Cook for 45-50 min
Let sit for 20 min (on top of stove)
Then chill in refrigerator for 4-6 hrs.

20g protein
6g carb
2.5g fat

Around 130cal per slice (cut 8x11 into 8 pieces)

Already posted in here, didn't feel like searching 50 pages? :D

Layne & Isabel's Low-Carb Cheesecake Masterpiece
Ingredients:

2 lbs no fat cream cheese
4 whole large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tablespoon cinnamon
4 oz (1/2 cup) low carb no fat milk
1 cup cooking splenda (sucralose)
Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Using No Fat cooking spray, spray 9" pie pan
Mix ingredients together using an electric blender in a large bowl
Pour mix into pre-greased pan

Heat at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes
Remove from oven and place in refrigerator

You must let this sit at least 4-5 hours in the fridge if you want a decent cheesecake.

Macronutrient Totals (per slice):

Protein: 20g
Carbohydrates: 6g
Fat: 2.25g
Chocolate or vanilla protein powder can be added to the mix for flavor and more protein if desired.

If one desires a softer cheesecake, then use 1 lb of light ricotta cheese and 1 lb of fat free cream cheese instead of 2 lbs fat free cream cheese. This changes the totals per slice.

Macronutrient Totals (per slice):

Protein: 17g
Carbohydrates: 5g
Fat: 4.5g
* This cheesecake is extremely good when topped with Walden Farms' calorie free chocolate syrup and a thin coat of peanut butter or fat free whip cream.

Some notes from someone who's made it a dozen times or so, add more cinnamon and vanilla and cook it a little less than directed, like 30-35 minutes (much better to undercook than overcook). Leave the cream cheese out 30-60 minutes at room temperature before making it so it blends easier, and really mix the stuff so it's very smooth before baking. I got much better results when I bought a better pie pan (double walled aluminum), and it had a built in lid for storage. The nutrition info above is for about 1/8 of the cake (8 slices per cake for macro breakdown).

If you want more protein, add 2 scoops protein powder (you can try any you like, my favorite has been Vanilla Myofusion) and a little extra milk.

I'm making up some more of this cheesecake sometime this week, this time with some vanilla protein powder mixed in! :yumyum:

I just picked up all the ingredients over the weekend. I plan on eating a slice on every workout day. The only thing I've wondered is how long it would be good for after making it. I haven't ever had one last real long so I don't know....lol

a few days at least I would think. I woudl think at least 4-5 if kept in the fridge. not sure though.. You could always freeze half right off the bat and then thaw it out when you need it?

I slice it and put them in gladlock then put them in the freezer. When I want a slice I just pull one out, they defrost fast.

I'm going to try and eat 1 whole cheesecake a day :) with a little added vanilla protein. Getting tired of my usual meals...

I have been reading this thread and implemented IF a while back. Just a few questions, I didn't see the answers in all the pages I have read.

1. Can you run Epi/Katana while on IF/LG with great success? Or does fasting while taking PH's decrease effectiveness?

2. Does drinking diet soft drinks during fasting periods affect the fast?

1. Yes

2.I do remember reading him say you can have coffee and sugar free gum... so I'd figure it safe for IF

I used pumpkin pie spices and some food color to get it a little Orange colored. Pretty nice

I'm gonna try this. Good idea Easy.

This gives me an idea! I wanna bake a thin layer of pumpkin pie right on top of the cheesecake

Yep, I do layered cakes, they work out well. Just pour in half, then mix in whatever else you want in the other, and pour it on top. It looks fancy too!

I may try that and do a "Strawberries and Cream" or maybe a "Chocolate Banana" or "Chocolate Peanut Butter"...

Im liking the creativity with the LN Cheesecakes. Are these new creations following the path of the calorie conscious...or all out bulk mode?

Cleared my in-box btw...sorry guys

Now I'm gonna be starving thru my fasted period!

Choco PB sounds awesome! I might try a coconut custard or banana creme topped one as well.

Both, I've used on contest prep and for lean bulking without problems (helped keep my sanity during prep!). It's all about calorie/macro manipulation, and it's pretty easy to get this to fit into my macros.

I'm also thinking about using Almond Milk instead of low carb milk, and see how that goes. I just like to experiment! :D

I would only do enough to flavor it but for a cheesecake mastery, i would go all out.

Good idea Milas. I will give that a try.

I was so close to using chocolate almond silk in mine, but since it was my first run I figured Id stay true to the original

I've got to make some of that cheesecake this week. On another note I've got a question for you guys. I am currently doing 3x a week weightlifting with the recomp schedule of +-20%. I really want to know what 3x a week routine you guys recommend or like more than others. Thanks.

how old are you and how's your recovery? I'd say if you are under 30, then DC would fit really well into that. Over 30 and recovery starts getting crappier for DC

I'm 26. Recovery seems good except leg days kill me for a week but I beat them to death so it's understandable. I will have to look more into dc. Thanks a lot.

I vote for DC too, it's a great routine to try.

If you are wondering if PHs work well doing IF/Lean gains just check out my log. Basicly maintained the same weight for 6 weeks and cut up pretty well. A very successful recomp. ;)

that's good to know. Not ready for a PH yet, but at least I know I have a shot at using a t-booster effectively on LG / IF

Ok this may be a dumb question but what are the effects of following the 16/8 hr protocol at the same calorie and macro breakdown every day instead of the variation style?

Its all about using insulin sensitivity to your advantage when breaking fast and reaping the benefits of your body's own natural nutrient partitioning....in a nutshell ;)
