Yep :) They tattoo shop drew it better than the one I scanned to them of course :D Next on the menu is a RHINO, and I am going to fill my sleeve, with trees I think :P I like how the trees turned out on this one!

I'll get some better pictures soon, its swolen in that one still so it looks kind of bad
 
I think it is incredibly bad ass, I really do like it. But, but..

I thought I read somewhere that some artists are holding off on implementing it because they want to know more about the health aspects....

thanks dude. it wraps around slightly, camera cant catch it all, and i already have my left side done. right now the plan is stand alone....i may fill farther down my delts and posterior arms since front arms are done. but i need a break after this one is done! LOL. 41 hours so far, and in 30 mins i'm off to the shop for another 4. pics to come.

Yeah i'm not near that far along yet! Both of the scriptures took about an hour a piece. The one on my right shoulder took about two and a half hours. The one of my left shoulder took about an hour. So about 5.5 hrs of work total.

Ill post my first and only tattoo after the Notre Dame game. Sorry I didn't find this thread earlier. Its pretty scabby right now though. Only 32 hrs ago I finished the 2.5 hour filling in.

the skulls took 3 hours of shading (6 colors) so we couldnt finish the flaming tree then. the flames and the tree itself still need colored. Friday we're going back to the left to finish the northern lights, wolf, and mausoleum....well, hopefully finish lol.

Matt 10:34 is my next tattoo. That and my rhino will be done together. Need to find a good place for it. Running out of room on my right arm, going to need to start hitting my ribs and legs lol
 
ok gang, here's mine finally done. 55 hours.

What started as a simple plan to ink my beloved grandparents and uncle's names on my back became this....which to me is a complex death scene inspired by one of my favorite album covers. The wolf is howling at the moon for his final time, while the Reaper watches over us all and the flames consume our bodies. Balanced with the beauty of the snowy mountains and northern lights. My guy is the best, period. This is amazing.

As someone whos appreciation for tattoos comes strictly from the artistic potential...HOLY ****. That came out really nice man.
 
some awesome tattoos in here. I don't have any yet. They say once you get one you want to get a bunch more.

I have always wanted love and hate on my knuckles since forever, but getting a job with that on my knuckles...doh but I like it so much.

I also want an ancient roman style armillae arm band on one arm.

And last but least. the words "no more lies". It was the first Iron Maiden song I ever heard and has a very important meaning to me. Thing is I can't decide what writing I would do it in, or where to put it...(not on the shoulder blades, I was thinking inside arm...ah I dunno!)

I check out tattoo art for ideas but alot of tats are either real simple and cheesy or so intricate that I can't get any placement ideas off them.

No idea on the words, I am terrible with that sort of thing.

I really like the rough draft of the rhino, however. Very nice effect, especially with the scrolling words that will come off it. What is the overall theme, or mood to influence the words? Reason I ask is his eyes seem very contempt, if it is going for a "bad ass" type message, then maybe make the eyes a bit more intimidating. If more of a non-mood influenced quote, than the eyes are perfect.

Hope that made sense. Felt like a ramble as I went to type it.

Its the crowning piece for the left arm, it will finish up my sleeve, well I have a small place I may put a raven in, but its going to be the largest piece and itll sit on my shoulder. I couldn't find a good badass picture of a rhino to look at copying it, they all just look very serene, when no one F***s with you in real life I guess you dont look angry very often lol.

Word theme is traits- strength faith life, etc.

My final one will be script, in my sisters handwriting, our names......with angel wings around my sister who passed away, and the writing will be her writing, as they can do that now...Im excited, most likely going on my birthday ( 2weeks)
