Subweevil's Going Bionics with Hemodraulix Log (sponsored)

Hehe, thanks man. It's actually a nickname my one bud gave me, one of the many, lol. Kinda stuck with me, isnce it's pretty easy to remember and it's the one name that's never taken whenever I sign in anywhere.

Today's workout:

Really focused on feeling stuff today, think I may ahve gotten into that moving as much weight as possible mindset,. so, dropped some weight and concentrated on contracting, static holds, and negatives.

Barbell Rows: 135x12x6x3x1, 95x10. It was nice change from the normally heavy rows I do. I could really feel the movement, really squeezed it, and held it for a bit, then lowered it real slow. Had a great pump just after this, took me a while to get this set outta the way.

Wide Grip Lat Pull-downs: 160x12x6x3x1, 100x10. Had great pump going, around my armpits felt crazy tight.

Wide Grip Seated Cable Rows: These are my weak point, so I'm going to start my back days with these, to try and bring them up. 80x12x6x3x1, 50x10.

I took breaks just long enough to suck down some BC+EAA in between and set up the next move, so about 2-3 minutes between working sets.

Dorian Style Rows: 135x12x6x3x1, 95x10. Beleive it or not, first time evah for these, and definitely not the last. These rock!!

Close Grip Seated Cable Rows: 100x12x6x3x1, 70x10. Back was really pumped up by this point, traps where poppin too!!

Seated Close Grip Lat Pulldown (hammer grip) 160x12x6x3x1, 100x10. Felt good, Back was totally pumped at this point!! Forearms and bi's were pretty sick lookin too!! tried to take some pics, but kept shakin too bad. I asked someone at the gym to take it, got told that "was kinda homo" and he walked away. Normally, I'm a smart@$$, but didn't have the time today, had to get back and take the misses to have her wisdom teeth pulled.Came in handy when he wanted a spot later. Told him the same thing as he picked up the weight, lol.

DC back stretch

Straight arm cable pressdowns: 50x12,40x12,30x12,20x24. Just wanted ot end on a pump, and man, did I ever!!

Workouts are going great, and pumps are downright fantastic. Calories have been bumped by about 300 for a few days now, nothing negative to report. I'll stick with that now, and re-evaluate in about a week. I'm, going to continue with another bottle of Hemo into next month for my new stack, I'm that impressed, should be good times!!

Yo Georgy porgy! What are the chances of getting some vids up mang?

Pretty good bud, if I can find someone to shoot em'. Not for lack of effort right now, but I'll double up my efforts. Best chance might come on Monday, have that day off. I'll try my best to get something lined up for ya. More than likely, hit up arms tonight, since I won't be able to get into the gym over the weekend, as they are closed by the time I get off work. Speaking of, gotta go earn that paycheck!! Later guys!!

Sounds good man. I'm dying to see a 235 military press! I'd literally squart!

Man Dorian Rows are the shiz!!!!!! Huge back and biceps result from those beasts. Great workout bro!

I love me some Dorian rows..just finished using them in my last blast..I miss them :(

Dorian makes sure to pull to his hip bones instead of the rib cage though.

I've got someone to "film" me on Monday, I'll try my best to impress. Thinkin' back, since that's my best workout usually. I promise I'll hit up shoulders, just use'em a lot at work at want em' to be fresh. If you guys can't tell, just got done about 48 minutes ago, so no gym tonight, very pissed. Was only going to be a light arms, day, but still, no happy at all. Got informed that I'm getting promoted here again come the first of the year, so I have to find a replacement. My boss, the plant manager, knows I lift, so he got a chuckle when I told him "I missed my workout for this!!??" Luckily, we really get along well, and share the same kinda humor, and he's a fellow lifter, so he understood. He informed me then that since he doesn't get to workout tonight, neither do I. So now, I have 2 days to gear up for Monday!! Still thinking back, but I'll narrow it down once I hit the gym. Guess I'll do some ab work at home. Sorry if I let anyone down by not hitting arms, work was my gym tonight.

never a let down bro.....

keep at it man, looking forward to your sick vid.

never a let down bro.....

Thanks bro, appreciate it!! No gym today, ugh!! Working weekends just sucks, no other way to put it. The gym is off limits to me when I'm doing that, doesn't matter if I'm working nights or days, they aren't open whenever I need to workout. I'm chomping at the bit to get a workout in, and I have to wait til' Monday. This not working out for a few days is killing me!! Hope everyone is having a super weekend!! I'll jump back on again tomorrow.

Man what a let down, this man let life happen! WHAT? UNNACCEPTABLE! LOL Just kidding man do what you do! CONGRATS on the new promotion you will be getting that is awesome especially in this time of recession. Obviously your work ethic at the work place is just like your work ethic in the gym equalling an excellent work product in both forums. Hats off to you Weev!

More money for supps :D

Thanks for the kind words of motivation guys, really appreciate it. I just feel like I'm letting everyone down, myself included, when I'm off for more than a day at the gym, just the way I am. Speaking of supps, going to continue this one next month as well, this stuff ROCKS!! Looking like I'll be hitting back tomorrow, hopefully, the vids will impress. Take care guys until tomorrow!!

whetitgo weevil!!! grats on the promotion.

It is this self imposed integrity and ethic that makes you the exceptional person you are Weev. Just keep up with playing the best game that life allows you to play and we will be here watching, enjoying and routing you on. Only way we would be let down is if you just gave up Bro! We know that ain't happening so no worries!!!!!

Vids will impress regardless to see work ethic in action is always a source of motivation and inspiration. Can't wait to see what you put yourself through knowing you are on film. Intensity 101 being served up by THE WEEVIL!

Got the vids, just mucking with youtube now. Dealing with my main comp being down, one of those days. Will be up in a few hours, come hell or high water.

Alrighty, vid #1!! I know it's not the best form, but I do 6x3x1 for 10 reps, then strip a plate, and do it all again til' I'm down to 2 plates, then rep it out to 10. As I strip the weight, I get closer to parallel, and get there by 4 plates. I went with a bit less weight, all nervous and stuff. Other vid in a bit, don't know what the heck to call the lat machine I used. Fighting 2 fronts now, on the phone with ASUS tech support for my motherboard, and youtube. no stress whatsoever!! they need to understand I need my video game fix!! Haha, and Queen in the background, classic. That's the kinda music they play there early morning, nothing against Freddie Mercury, just real glad I had my mp3 player.

Second vid of the day and last one. Took spare batteries, but, those turned out to be old dead ones some lazy person put back in the pack instead of throwing em' out, wonder who that could be? Anyways, this one is same as the first, 6x3x1 scheme, then strip a plate and repeat. I'll post the rest of my routine up later, still fighting with my motherboard, ugh!! The best one Asus makes, and I still have to remove the battery and unplug it, walk away for 10 minutes, then try and get it to post. Wouldn't be bad if I hadn't been doing it since noon....

Alright brosef, critique time. Form really needs to be looked at here. Lower the weight until you can do it without arching your back on Tbars and twisting your whole upper body on the plate loaded rows. Awesome strength though man. You are beast and you need to know that. We are here to help you and are not trying to make a fool of you.

You should post vids of the other lifts as well.

I agree with Rob, you are a friggin beast. I have never put that many plates on the isolateral row. However you are using a lot of body english on those isolateral rows. You want a weight that is hard but that you are still able to get your elbows behind the plane of your back where you can really build some meat on your back. Man that was still a lot of friggin weight you had on there you BEAST!!!!

No worries man, I already knew my form wasn't the best, I value all the critiquing I can get, that's how I get better. My form gets better as I progress through the move, but yeah, I'll work on that. I just get pissed that I take forever to gain that sometimes as of late, I say eff it and load it up. Didn't have the battery life to let ya see an entire extended set, story of my day today. You guys are welcome to critique away, no worries. I know I'm not in the same league as you guys, I'm humbled by how much you guys put up and how much more you know than me, definitely keeps me grounded. Very humbling to know that all this time, I've been doing these moves wrong, but at the same time, great to know it because now I can change that. Wish someone at the gym would have told me, but, it's my own fault for not doing them right. It's messed up, thought and felt like I was doing them right, just goes to show, why you guys are on here and those other clowns aren't. Sorry for the mini-rant, just pissed at myself for short changing a workout. Rest of my back workout:

Rack Pulls: 405x6x3x1, 315x6x3x1, 205x10. These felt good, had to take a bit of a breather before these.

Wide Grip Lat Pulldowns: 160x10, 120x10, 70x10.

Seated Close Grip Hammer Cable Rows : 100x10, 70x10, 50x10.

Wide Grip Seated Rows: 70x10x5x2.

Hammer Grip Close Grip Lat Pulldowns: 150x10x5x2.

Straight Arm Pressdown: 50x12.

Body Weight Pull Up Wide Grip: 15

DC style back stretch.

Had an awesome pump this workout, erred on the light side for the vids, glad I did, was nervous and didn't want to overdo it. Pumps were intense, even complained about it to my bud who was shooting the vids. This stuff works, that's for sure!! Next workout for back, I'm going very light and I'll post up those vids for further critiquing to make sure I'm getting the most out of my exercises with proper form, don't want to be cheating myself and you guys with some half@$$ workouts. Promise I'll do better next time. Just need to be able to have a camera man handy, that's the tough part, that, and being able to waste over 3 hours on one workout to get the equipment I want, lol.

on a side note- you look like you have leaned up a lot. looking lean and mean-nice job george.

Yep, definitely some beastly strenght, but the form on those low-rows really needs to be fixed up a bit. You should really be able to pull that bar back a good bit further. Just lighten up the weight a little. You'll really see some back growth!

Great job, George! You definitely are looking better all the time.

Thanks guys!! I promise I'll do better next time, really appreciate all the critiquing. I've learned a ton today. On the bright side, at least now I know that machine is called the Isolateral Row Machine, lol!!

hey man, we are showing the youngster that even old dogs can learn new tricks. never to old to learn- great attitude george.

George your going to explode from the difference you have built a lot of trap and torso strength on top of a powerfull bottom pull now to work with. You were doing more of a functional strength row. Building power it is nothing wasted just not the most efficient way to build muscle. However the amount of weight you can move now as a result will be a lot higher allowing you to build even more muscle with improved form. The work you have done is in no way wasted brother you are gonna reap the reward of that power immediately changing your form. Don't be bother by the initial drop in weight either it will come back up quickly.

I agree awesome attitude bro. Fixing your form now is goign to do some amazing things to your body comp! Also, you really are looking leaner bro! Keep it up!

Today's workout:

Hit the gym in a foul mood, from a day and night spent messing with my Asus motherboard and getting pretty much nowhere. Rma'd the thing today out of frustration, I'd get by one hurdle. only to have 2 more pop up, quite disheartening. As my buddy says, "It must be an electrical problem, cuz' I can't fix it with a hammer." never had a problem with Asus, til' now. For the record, the tech support guy was great, first usage of their tech support for me. Heard lots of horror stories, now that I've said that, it'll suck next time, lol.

Standing Barbell Military Press: 160x6x3x1. haven't done these in quite a bit, but was angry at the world, so figured what the heck. Surprisingly, felt great, went off easier than I thought. Kept my knees a bit bent, and back straight. Took the bar down til' arms were parallel, then muscled it back up. Last rep took some effort, okay, a lot of effort, but it went up.

Dumbbell side laterals: 30x10, 20x10. Side delts were looking pumped and full, adn I could easily feel that as well. Was starting to hit the zone here, yeah, it's gonna be a great workout, at least for me.

About 3 minute break.

Seated Hammer Strength Press (per arm, done both together) 105x10,70x8,35x12. Delts were painfully pumped, had to go check'em out in the mirror. Wanted to take a pic, but "Naked Guy", you all know who I'm talking about, wouldn't leave the area. look dude, put some clothes on for God's sake, then talk to me. Yup, was feeling more hostile as the workout progressed.

3 minute break.

Dumbbell Side Laterals 20x10, 10x10
superset with:
Standing Dumbbell Press:30x10, 20x10

Barbell Front Shrugs: 315x12, 315x12, 315x10
Barbell Rear Shrugs: 315x10, 315x10, 315x9

Went lighter on these to be more precise with form. Felt light, next time, gonna stick with the higher weight I've been using. Had someone watch my form, said it was okay. Wanted to make sure it was smooth, and not using my legs/arms to move the weight.

2 minute break.

Front Barbell Shrugs: 205x10, 205x10
superset with
Rear Barbell Shrugs:205x10, 205x10

Wicked trap pump, looked sweet in the mirror. Wish my traps looked like that all the time.

Alternating wide and narrow grip upright rows: 65x10+65x10, 45x6+45x3. Just something to round out the workout. Shoulders were feeling spent by now, one last set.

Side dumbbell laterals: 20x12
superset with
Dumbbell shrugs: 80x15

Called it a day. Was actually angrier leaving the gym than when I went in. Definitely need to get my video game fix!! In a vain moment, went sans jacket, wanted to show off my shoulders that were so darn pumped!! Had to hit up the grocery store, and stopped by Target to buy a body hair trimmer, so I don't look like the escaped gorilla from a zoo anymore. Might leave a Zangief patch on my chest though. Pump was still kickin' when I got home about 2 hours later. Love this stuff!

NICE Workout Weev! Yeah you trim the hedges you might be surprised at the muscularity behind there. I know you have KILLER peaks on your biceps! Gotta Manscape a lil. My wife actually reminds me if I go too far without trimming. LOL

Hehe, I hear ya. I do it every so often to see the progress or lack thereof I'm making. The fiance doesn't mind me doing my ape impersonation, so I'm not worried. Besides, winter is coming anyways. Now since it's all gone, man, am I going to need to work on my abs to get em' to show. Looks more like a keg now than a six pack. Got strong abs, jsut would be nice to see them from time to time.

Just pick your goal and work for it. Right now you are still putting on size while leaning up. Nothing wrong with recomping. However if you want to see your abs you need to only work for either recomp or cut. Then hit a clean bulk once you are down in the range you want to be in.

good advice...that is exactly what I am doing now...we should do it together WEEV!!! :grouphug:

Man, I can't thank you guys enough for the advice, words of encouragement, and getting a sponsored log. Like I said, these last few months have been an awesome kick in the @$$.

Kinda stuck right now. I'm happy to be at 185lbs, but I know I need to lsoe some more to get the abs to show. I'm just hesitant to really start blasting them, 'cuz once that are gets more muscle, it's going to look bigger if I don't cut more pudge. There lies my conundrum. If I lose 5lbs outside the gym, I lose like 20lbs inside, if not more. I'm trying to keep calories in check right now, and timing what and when I eat. I know it takes a bit for dietary changes to take effect, but I'm patient and try to adjust accordingly. Made a big realization the other day, I need about 4 days off before I hit the same body part again. This, after years of lifting and trial/errors. Sometimes, forced time off is a good thing. kinda suspected I took longer to recover, now I know it. Now I can stop that vicious circle of over-training.

we should do it together WEEV!!!
Not quite sure my fiance would approve, I made a promise that she's the only one for me!! J/K, can't resist being a smart@$$. I'm down with that, keep me posted. I feel this is one area I can really stand to improve on, so I'm all ears. More than likely, gonna start that up next month, and switch up to 10-12 rep range, straight sets for a bit.

george, i think it's fantastic when we can apply new found knowledge to the experience that we have earned through the years. nothing is wasted, it's what was necessary to get you where you are at today.

I was being a silly billy Weev but I and WE will be keeping an eye on you to make sure you dont get outa line :twak:

Just time to hit up abs some tonight, long day at work ending with a surprise meeting end of the day. Did some manscaping the other day, so I'll post up some pics here this weekend. Tomorrow night is chest, kinda did my workouts in reverse this week, change is good!! No weight gain to report yet, despite having bumped calories by about 300-400 per day, so I'm very happy. Thanks guys for the kind words and following along, take care!!

doing good weevil!!!:yup:

Rip it up WEEVY!!! :frustrate

Sorry I have not been very active lately. Just saw the Vids and you have some major strength. Get that form straight and it will payoff. I have really started working on my form doing rows and my back is starting to show improvements in look and strength.

I am also with you on the weight loss and ab work. I feel that the more I work my abs the more they stick out. I also seem to lose some good strength the further down in weight I go. I have started adding carbs back and I am going to try to maintain my weight of 189 throught the holiday and then I will look into another 4-6 week cut.

Keep up the hard work because you are extremely close.

Good words there Silver!! That's the best way I've found to do it. Take it off slow, for say about a month, then maintain what you've lost for about the same time, then do it again. That way, you don't have to keep going more extreme to make progress on the cut, plus, your body will then be more primed to use extra calories!! I've always had great success with this, proof is in loosing over 50lbs since January, lost most of that by May. This last bit has been tough, still got a bit to go, but I'll hit my goals, because I want to!!

Todays workout:

Not so much, unless you call eating some hot wings a workout. Well, I guess it could be a workout later, if ya know what I mean. Got done late from work (that NEVER happens) and monkeyed around building my new computer for a bit, I really need to get it up and running so i can quit using this damn laptop. Took forever to find Windows 7 signed drivers, ugh!! On the good news, I'm ready to rip it up tomorrow morning, by venting my anger at the weights, and I'll post some pics too!! I think I've really been over-training as of late, and I feel super positive about tomorrows workout for chest. It will be major intense! So, sorry guys for no real updates today, but tomorrow will make up for it!! Enjoy the night!!

Well, looking for ideas on a workout to improve my strength for next month through January, any thoughts guys? I was thinking maybe along the lines of 5x5 and 10x10, but it's all up in the air now, might even go back to doing straight sets. I've always responded well to low reps. Anyways, chest day at the gym, I'll report back when done. Hope everyone is having a great Friday!!

you should talk to Tyler. He knows some great strength programs.

you should talk to Tyler. He knows some great strength programs.

Hehe was thinkin' the same thing, that boys a beast!! had the pleasure to get a couple of workouts in with him, learned quite a bit!!

How about sheiko?

Appreciate the advice bud!! I think that routine may be too much volume for me, I take a bit longer than most to recover. I'll give it a once over, and see if I can make it work for me. Thanks again!!

On a side note, made the mistake of drinking some coffee after taking the Hemo, didn't even think about it. A night of no sleep had me groggy. I'll say it again, Hemo really opens the pipes up!! That cup O' Joe hit me like a ton of bricks!! I honestly am glad I got shined onto this stuff, it is a staple of mine now to stack with anything. At the recommended dose, it's WAY plenty of a pump for me, I would even go with a cap or 2 less, it hits me that well. I'll definitely do that next month. Got some more BA tingles today. about 3 minutes out from the gym. Added some plyo pushups at the end, those kicked my butt, but felt great, really drove the pump home. This stuff keeps me pumped for anywhere form 2 to about 3 hours after a workout. I'm going to take some blood pressure readings before my next workout to see if it drops after taking it, since it is obviously exerting very strong vasodialation effects, kinda curious. Now since I've manscaped, definitely can tell once I've taken it and worked out. I'll update my workout here ina bit guys!!
