How safe is it to talk to your general practitioner about the gear you run? Are the things discussed confidential? Just wondering if Its better to be upfront about it, or not say anything so you don't get screwed in the future. Please all opinions are appreciated.
anything i say to my doctor is put in my chart. now lets say in 20 years i develop prostate cancer, the insurance company goes thorough my medical records and BLAMO...uh,oh steroid abuse, claim denied which leaves me dying of cancer or broke.

I wonder if you could just ask them not to write it on your chart anywhere
I told my doc I use, but I also mention "This is off the record.. write nothing down.." and he then listens. Only thing he scolded me for was using orals, said to come to him for injectables down the road.
im telling you ,mexico
its only a quarter of the cost and the same or better service as the united states.
no steroid laws,so you can be very open with your doctor and get everything you need.
whats funny is I hear a lot of people saying things like this, but I have yet to hear a single case of it actually happening to anyone![]()
It's tthe same as any insurance company denying someone because of a pre existing injury, happens more than it should. Or having coverage lowered or refused due to prior conditions. It is worse when you are self employed and pay for your insurance...tthose people have no mercy....happened to me 8 yrs ago with a back injury. Now, if Iwant to have surgery, I'm out of a shyyyat load of cash.
I'm not saying it can't happen, just that i've never actually heard someone say it did with steroids in particular. Yeah, when you are self-employed its a whole different ballgame with insurance entirely.
Yup! Shhiiiity but reality...
To the Op.
If your doc is "cool" so to speak, he may not put certain facts in your file. I know a few doctors like this, but I do not go to them for anything serious..i.e. heart condition.

I want to tell her so she can keep an eye on everything, but I don't want her writing any of it down. I might just say hypothetically speaking, If i were to run a steroid cycle in the future, could I discuss it with you without any of it being documented.
she may not chart it, especially if you pay cash for the visit, but the insurance (health and life) can still pull the pharmacy records. so even with a legal script, legally getting gear from walgreens, you can still be found out
Just imagine how the gov't would run healthcare if they had access to your info? Wait, I worked for DHS I know!
The public health option will be more stringent than the insurance co.s
Also, certain health conditions, past meds, as well as current, i.e. antidepressants, prescribed stims., other brain affecting drugs can preclude you from gov't jobs.
Speak softly, and with a doctor friend. Everything ends up on your record.
