Sodium Ursolic Acetate topical spray

there was a lot of debate over this rule when it was created

Debate meaning a whole lot of controversy and the FDA basically tossing up the old middle finger to everyone?

yes, pretty much, just like the "Affordable Care Act" got debate
Hell, much like the PATRIOT ACT, they didn't even bother to READ that one.

I was more referring to if DMAA was produced from a natural source, this would not even be an issue right now. If it was derived from a natural source, wouldn't it still be allowed to be used in supplements?

ephedrine was derived from a natural source (ma Huang. ephedra) and they managed to get that banned from diet/energy supplements

other parts of DSHEA seem to indicate that NDI application is not required

its ambiguous

yeah, from a strict reading of the DSHEA, the NDI makes no sense in at the very least the part of showing safety. Perhaps an NDI showing scientific proof of its natural food chain origin would make sense. But safety data? it really goes contrary to the DSHEA in the first place. The whole point of allowing food chain sourced items is that they generally are more likely to be safe (since they are already eaten)

Come to think of it that was a stupid question.. Marijuana is banned too and it is "naturally derived". I guess what it comes down to is if the govt/fda wants to ban something they will.

ETA on next batch?

Anyone care to convert or make an educated guess on UR sprays = Ursobilc caps? Like 50 sprays = 20 caps Urso?
