You guys are too funny, thx for cracking me up tonight! :box:

WOW..I'm feeling really good here this morning after my day off yesterday, ready to smash some iron in a bit! :aargh: BRING IT!! :yeah:

Hey man, why do you feel the need to be so violent with me?
 y'know, that's really funny Fin, cuz I was gonna say in that post 'no, not you Iron'! but I think I already did that once in this thread.. :wave2:

Off to nail it right now!! :run: I smell me a PR coming today..

You better come back here and tell us you nailed the PR, man!

'..and as it was written, so it shall come to pass.' ;)

Day #38
Where to start.. Well, let's talk about that PR. :wiggle:
First of all, I want to clarify that strength, while cool, has never been the end-all for me, not really one of my goals. I mean, yeah I like being strong and all (who the hell doesn't?) but since my late 20's I've consciously avoided striving for ridiculous #'s, out of long-term concern for my joints and short-term concern for limiting my involvement in other sports. Plus, I've never really wanted to maintain the kind of diet that it takes to continually push the bar for strength gains.. anyway, I very rarely max out on my lifts, just doesn't interest me..
However, I'm reviewing Product X in this log, and the most notable thing about this product all along has been strength increase.. so, I decided to showcase it today. I've actually felt this coming for awhile now, ever since the end of my first month on the Freak workout, just never pulled the trigger.
And I knew when I rolled outta bed this morning, this was the day.
I knew when I did 375x1 w/ a pause on the flat bench, it was on..
I had no spotter, wife was gone this morning.. didn't matter.
First time in my life, I got 405x1, with a pause. And, I think I could've put up 415 really, but I'm speculating..I just felt unbelievably powerfull today, still do in fact..better watch out, I'm manhandling my keyboard here!
I also did something a bit different for me for intra-workout nutrition: picked up some Pslin yesterday as well, and rolled with a WMS/EAA/BA/creatine/Threshold/Emergen-C mix w/ Pslin dumped in, sipping thruout my session.. pump was off the chain! Sweat was excellent, just a fantastic session!
So, put it in the books guys: 405 @ 198.9lbs -- I'm diggin' 2x my BW! :D

Fugg!! I hear you about strength taking a back seat but .... Fugg!! 405 is a major lift!!

How much credit does ProductX get.

 You always crack me up with that one bro..
405 is major for me, I'm just a lil guy! :nervous:
How much credit goes to X?? I'd say quite a bit. I mean strength started taking off pretty quickly after I began the cycle; even thru that period of lethargy, strength was constantly upward.
Now, just for clarification sake, I did start Prime back up yesterday, and I took 3 caps preWO this morning, as well as 2 w/ breakfast..but, I'll write this off as too soon to make much impact..
I'm taking X dosing up to 5x daily now for this last week on it (gotta keep up with Mr. Miller, haha), figure I'll go out with a bang. The goals are shifting, as I'm transitioning into cut mode now. Bringing in more explosive & performance/conditioning based aspect to my training..
I'll also be disappearing here for the next few days, gotta lot of things to get done today..tomorrow I've got a USP demo down in Bloomington, IN -- home of the Indiana University Hoosiers. USP product is very popular down there, so we're gonna show them some support with product education..that's 6hrs round-trip driving too, and then when I get back I'm doing a little something with my kids in appreciation for them putting in an outstanding academic school yr..
And of course, Sunday is dedicated to the wife -- I promised her no computer! :p Also taking my Mom out to her fav food joint (no worries -- I'll be eating shrimp & broccoli, keeping it clean!) ;)

The X man cometh...watch out wolverine. Daaaaamn, busting out 4 plates there Snagatomic. Big props for that bubba. This Product X has my wheels turning. Enjoy the weekends activities!

Nice! Gracias my brothers.. (altho, I'm still trying to figure out if Resolve just called me a big moron..)

Not being modest tho, just don't consider myself big, never have. Resolve is 6-4, 230lbs..now that's a big dude. I'm 5-9, 200lbs.. at 5-9, you're not a big guy (unless you weigh 300lbs at 5-9 like Jay Cutler!)..

I'm sorry Snag....but you are a big 5'9" brother!

Whatever, man, it takes a lot more beef to make me look big with these extra 7" I've got on ya! I mean, I've got a 50" chest, and it's not because I'm that muscular, it's just because my ribcage is that frigging big around. And my delts have a TREMENDOUS way before they look remotely like yours. :)

Your only 2 inches shorter than me and I am considered reasonably tall... I think your about average in height. Now lets tal about quality... your extremely lean almost all of the time, if I were as lean as your I wouldn't be 240 or so. The last thing is bone structure, I have to think you have a fairly small frame to pack on all that muscle and still only be 200. Muscle looks huge on you. You muscle is also extremely hard and compact. I am a really big guy but I will never bench 4 plates, I made a run a few years back never made it. In all my years of training I have only seen one other guy have your kind of power at a similar size. You sir are an elite athlete... them's the facts...

I'd rather look like you at 200lbs than jay cutler at 300

You're definitely a big dude Snag !

Damn..you convinced me brutha!
But you make a good point: about the small frame/larger musculature combo creating the illusion of size, that's dead on. My skeletal structure is rather on the smallish side. So yeah, muscle looks good on me! :D
On the flip side: you don't know how many times I've heard 'Oh your bench is so strong cuz your arms are so short!' (This coming from my 6' foot+ tall buds).. Gawwwwd, that one gets old.. :( Haters! :nono:
I'd rather look like you at 200lbs than jay cutler at 300
I agree! :D Haha.. That dude's freakish, ain't no way in hell I'd even want to look like that if I could.

Day #39
Okay I'm being like the wind here, blowing a different direction every day, haha..
Decided to go back to one basic bodypart a day training again for awhile. Focused on explosive leg work today before I drove down to Bloomington.
BB Squats 3x10, DB jump squats 4x10, leg extensions 3x15, lying leg curls 4x15, standing calf raises 4x10.

Day #40
Tennis with the wife for Mother's Day, got an hour of playing in the morning (wheels were suprisingly responsive the day following that explosive leg work).. then spent the day spoiling her! :p

I brought back an old diet format I haven't used for awhile, beef & grapefruit (8oz lean beef + 1/2 white grapefruit, 6 meals) + a shake before bed w/ EVCO. Going to run that today as well, taking 2 days off from AP/Pslin. From there, I'll shift to slightly higher fat consumption/lower carb intake for awhile; and then I'll flip the macros again..looking for some metabolism shake-up here as I get my cut on.
The low-carb day sucked! My energy levels towards the night really dropped thru the floor, kinda surprised me. All a means to an end tho..
The rain that fell later in the day saved me from a ballgame last night, which is probably a good thing. :sigh:

Oh, and no shrimp & broccoli for me w/ my mom this day. :(

Yes that's a factor... but short arms will hamper you on your deads so it's all evened out that's why powerlifting has 3 lifts. That's why my deads are almost double my bench ...well not quite that but significant. Nodody's whining oh your deads are so good cuz you have long arms so why should anybody whine about your short arms ... yah it's not fair to single you out.

No doubt..hmm, so that's why my deadlift sucks, eh?

Day #41
Shoulder mayhem..man those dudes are pumped after today! :)
Seated front BB presses 5x10, front DB raises 3x12, lateral raises 2x12, bent-over raises 2x12, BB shrugs front 2x15, BB shrugs rear 2x12, various ab work.

Lil shoulder pic before I head out to mow the yard..

Damn, nice shoulders, Snag!

Now go cut that jungle of a yard before the HOA gives you a ticket! :D

Shooot, my yard's immaculate dude! :D The wife won't let me slack on that. She does all the flowers & tends the shrubs, I get the rest.. :sigh:
Got some good sun today tho, ready to chill for the night now. :006:

Hahahaa! I hear you, man. I am OCD, so my yard is in picture perfect shape. There's not a name for the green that mine is. :D

Iron does a yard good... pun intended. Most go too strong on the fertilizer, when in fact a 10-10-10 blend is optimal when using extra Iron and Lime once per month. What sort of grass do you have?
(And no, not that kind :bandit:)

Do you have an HOA? I am the President of ours. :D Sh*t is time consuming sometimes.

Bro, I see we have more in common all the time! I've got a touch of that myself! :wave2:
I can imagine your lawn man..we got this dude in our addition (funny thing -- I used to work for him back in the 90's when I sold cars, and then we end up living on the same street!), talk about OCD w/ his lawn..I should go take a pic of his yard. It's the lushest shade of green (blue-green kinda) I've ever seen, and he mows 2x/ week: MON he mows like every-other strip, and THUR he mows the strips in between, so he's got 2 different lengths alternating in strips thruout his yard at all times..it looks tight! Like a professional baseball outfield or something.
Iron does a yard good... pun intended. Most go too strong on the fertilizer, when in fact a 10-10-10 blend is optimal when using extra Iron and Lime once per month. What sort of grass do you have?
Never heard of triple-10. Heard of triple-12 tho, stuff'll green your grass right up for sure..
Don't quite know what grass I have in my yard, I assume it's some bastardized version of Kentucky Bluegrass..the guy I bought my house from was the original owner, and he took fairly decent care of it. We did a lot of rearranging of the landscaping when we moved in to get things to the wife's liking, and I fertilize & weed & feed 4x thruout the yr to keep things up.
(And no, not that kind :bandit:)
Ahahaa..that stuff's pretty green too..or purple..sometimes white.. :D
Do you have an HOA? I am the President of ours. :D Sh*t is time consuming sometimes.
Sure we do..yeah, if you're in a big addition I bet it does keep you hopping.
Ours does a pretty good job, and the yearly dues are reasonable too.

I'm gonna go take some pics here..I'll be back! :run:

Okay, here's my crib..
Couple of the front from across the street..there's my porch & close-up of the front windows (showcasing the wife's work -- she does a really nice job)..my deck & an angled shot of some of my backyard (it butts up to the common area, so we can really do a lot of things back there..I really need to re-stain my deck, but don't think I'm gonna get to it this yr.. :sigh:)..
Mike's (down the street) pic really didn't turn out well, doesn't do it justice..he usually mows diagonally too, looks better than when he just does straight across. He's got a cool limestone-like BBQ pit in his back yard, and one of those motorized shade deals that rolls out from the house with a press of a button..

Home and Garden stuff right there Snag! That backyard is a virtual playground.

More than you know bro..here's a better shot, facing straight out to the common area. We play baseball back there, football..shoot off hella fireworks out in the middle sometimes..yeah it's pretty cool. The HOA has an outfit come out & mow the common area weekly, but with all the rain we've had they haven't been out in a couple weeks.. Gonna have to get on 'em if they don't rectify that situation soon! :D

Out here in the desert...we don't get to see that kind of green. I came from Florida too. Talk about an adjustment!! We have a grade school down the street for the playing fields though.

Ahahaa..that stuff's pretty green too..or purple..sometimes white.. :D

Niiiice yard, Snag. I snapped a few of my number 1 and 2 lots (Backyard) on my land. I have well over 100+ acres, so there's plenty of land for Yoda to hang out at. :bandit:

Oh shizz! Looks schweet brogan! :D 100+ acres?? :jaw:
Hahaaa..yeah perfect for some clandestine activities.. :ntome:
Really nice my friend! You must have your own lawncare team!

Indiana looks pretty damn great.
Yeah when the rain is flowing, things look pretty decent..otherwise, in the summer, you need to run the sprinklers half the day to keep things green..
Out here in the desert...we don't get to see that kind of green.
^^^..but then again, things could always be worse!
You'd have to be a multi, multi millionaire in So Cal to own that much plot.
You ain't lying dude..land out there is off the chain. Everything's expensive out your way. Hawaii is even worse!

Really nice my friend! You must have your own lawncare team!
Hahahaa! If I could only be so lucky!
It's a job to take care of, but well worth it, in my opinion. I promised myself 9-10 years ago when I was knee deep in sand that I would have lush, green grass with plenty of land to roam. Every bonus I received went into the Market and luckily, I made more money. So when my wife and I were at a point that we knew we were not moving any longer, we bought 50 acre's initially, and built our home. In the past several years, I've purchased the remaining 52.5 acres so that no one could buy it and build around me. I like privacy. I like to streak. :D

You look as if you have Empire Zoysia, but I could be wrong. We don’t have Kentucky Blue-Grass down here, so I really can’t compare. They do look similar in blade thickness, though. It's nice, nonetheless, Snag!
