Snagency Primordially shifts to V2.0, 16-week bodybuilding prep with Andro Series

thanks all for the support!

i just realized, it's been a lil while since a food pic was posted up in heah.
not much to show tho..meals are a tad boring.

oh yawn, here comes one now..

Yah if that's food porn then that's the skinny chick with no tits...

some goofy mirror pics from today (in case my photographer can't make it)..these guys that take good back shots in the mirror - wow, kudos to you. it was awkward as hell. :o
feeling pretty decent, was split sessions for training: bi/tri/abs in the AM/tennis (2hr in 95 degrees) in the PM.
i can feel the ripped-ness getting ready to make it's appearance, body is feeling primed for some big body comp shifts in the next few days let alone last 2 weeks here of prep, and i think i have my flight plan mapped out for dietary considerations during landing as well.
things are shaping up well here at the end.

(hope ya'll don't mind that i got a lil risqué on that one-legged pic w/ left side lower ab region..was a nude pose, looked good but i don't have the software to edit out the middle region, ahaa.)

I know we all as men want to win and nothing less but bro you look great and can totally do this show. You need to suck it up and prove to yourself that through all the shyt you've been through ( of which I'm sure I cannot even begin to understand) you can compete. Even if you don't win it would be quite an accomplishment to compete. Keep it snags we're all behind you!

ahh gracias my friend, the support is felt and grooved upon! :)

it's coming down to the wire on if i'll jump in this gig or not. i think i may just yet pull off "the look" i want to, if not quite as lean as i'd hoped; we'll have to see if i can stay intense and motivated thru all the HIIT i have scheduled coming up, and sprints next week -- legs have been a lil tender, since i'm still playing tennis (wasn't planned to keep playing this far into prep, but i need the cardio activity currently)..i'm a lil behind in my posing routine, as i turned my attention away from that for awhile there, but that's not a knockout, hell i can just improvise and do mandatory poses w/ creativity thru the tune if i get lost in my moves..

competing is not the be-all/end-all my man; been there, done that. i get no thrill in just "doing shows" any longer, at least not on this level..while getting on stage itself is a unique and tremendous individual accomplishment (that i am pleased to have done), and i respect the effort it takes to do so -- for me, i need more, or i find it to be a waste of my time.
the next step in my mind is to compete for a purpose (win) and move on to a chance at the next level.

and here is the troubling area..still got lots of skin to tighten up, and the fat % is not where i want it to be.
lots of time to shrink-wrap the midsection yet, but my original goal was for this to be already alleviated by now.
[sigh]

I think spelling this out allows us to understand your perspective a bit more.

if it were my first show, or if i were like Matt Porter and enjoyed the activity itself (that dude did something like 26 shows over 5yrs?? :yikes:) i wouldn't hesitate. but - i simply don't enjoy the process on show day..could be cuz my electrolyte balance has always been screwed up from crazy tweaks i've done at the end of preps past, i dunno, but i usually don't feel good on these days, and i have a headache the entire day.

anyway: leanness popping overnight, abs are pretty tight, dint even do any cardio yesterday. it's that time, gentlemen (and ladies out there), time to see changes again everytime i wake up and look in the mirror. :yup:

dis gon be fun. :hammer:

END WEEK #14
2 WEEKS FROM SHOW DAY (???)

just completed a pretty decent week..feeling MUCH better these days, back to my normal self as i'm able to dial up intensity and hit that "2nd wind" reserve tank at will..feels gooooood. :)

weights are being kept fairly heavy thruout this week, and HIIT action is scheduled 5x this week.
dietary considerations have me under the dreaded 2k cal mark for first time (1950 :(), carbs rotating on a 150/100/50 basis, fat @45g, rest made up in protein.
(FYI: for cal counts, i do not count fish oils or broccoli, or things like BCAAs, towards caloric allowance at any time.)

this is not the plan i wanted to bring into the 2-week mark, but it is the most suitable option for me now.

Snag, very nice progress. I can never keep up with your workout logs... then I come back in and there's a world of difference in a few weeks. Nice work and even better motivation.

and anyway - i want to shock ppl with the finished final product.
BUT - a lil snapshot of wheels upon rising.

Wow really showing some good separation this last week ... I know what you mean about shows and the fuggin water management at the end drives me fuggin crazy... I won't miss that part at all...I love the process leading up to that but never seem to be satisfied with my final effort. Always do something to screw things up.

you mean, the final protocol you follow right?
cuz i know you give all the effort you can my friend, 117% worth, day-in/day-out. ;)

see, that's why i was excited for this 16-week gig, since it's the longest prep i've ever attempted, i totally figured i could be show-ready at 2 weeks out, just do minor tweaks heading into show day, and i was expecting to feel MUCH better day-of-show.

and reality is - that is the most logical and best possible scenario to follow. if you allow yourself enough time, so you don't have to pull out all these tricks and schemes at the end, which have just as much chance of backfiring as they do of working successfully.

maybe one day, i'll know what proper preperation is like. :)
we were well on our way here, when the life got sapped outta me and killed my training, and then i had momentary weakness and veered off course from diet for a minute..

no tricks for me this time. i mean, of course i'll alter water/sodium intelligently (nothing crazy), and dietary choices will be tight and spot-on structured, but that's about it. show or no, i'm not doing anything crazy for any reason.

I agree logically that is the way to go, and I was on track last year but I peaked way early and couldn't hold it.... that had me scambling a bit near the end... it's always something...

dayyummm, he done went and had a three workout session day. :yup:
no joke either..
20min HIIT this morning, back/bi's early afternoon, and then 2hr tennis session late afternoon/early evening.
i am freaking exhausted..but damn i feel goood again! :)

Whoa ... that gets a big ... NUGGIN FUTS!!!

Good to see the progress you got going on in here now. Keep this train a chugging and lets see if you make the conditioning you require to compete. I think you can do it.

Love it! Anticipation begins to build, drums can be heard in the distance as he readies himself for war! I can't wait to see the reveal!

big congrats and job well done goes out to Chris Finch (Brock360 here on AM), competing yesterday in his second show i believe. you look great bud!

class act.
:notworthy:

thank you guys. :)

weight 182.4 upon rising, the pace is good, the tightening up continues..
my strength is shot, totally in the tank (but who needs strength right now anyway) but energy-balance is strangely pretty decent..i hit a few lulls here & there thru the day, but nothing bad at all.

got some traveling to do today/tomorrow for my work, will not interfere with training/dietary game plan thankfully.

i am eyeballing my carb meal tonight..12hrs and 31min away (ala MrKleen) :p

Looks hard ...:)
not hard enuff yet. :|
gettin closer....

carb meal (only 120g worth) was nice last night, but i almost held off..
went ahead anyway, change of game plan for today & tomorrow:

rather than continue carb-up, going back to depletion diet today and most of tomorrow.
basically now is turkey breast/tuna combo with asparagus every meal today, then i'll reintroduce some red meat in the form of 96% lean tomorrrow and combine with turkey breast and asparagus, keeping it restricted till ~7 or 8p..water will also stay high until that point when i start carbing (rice cakes and oats, sweet potato). sodium high today/no added sodium tomorrow.

so, there's the plan.
we'll see how it works out -- never came in on this kind of approach before.
SAT morning, see how i look, and go from there.

also - other than using Cellucor's L2 for a mild diuretic this week, there will be no other help.
i am not messing with potassium or anything crazy, need to take the smooth controlled approach for a change.. :D
actually - real reason is, as i've stated couple times thruout this log, i want to keep things very simple and without a lot of additional products, so i can nail down and isolate effects from my stack.

That is a lot of progress in a week. Why are you holding off on the carb up so much? Are you full now and just trying to hold it?

full?

nah brah, just ain't ripped diced peeled to the bone like i wanna be yet.

ironically, i just took a pic ~10min ago..sneak peak.
(tough to take pic of your back yourself in mirror!)

last pic till SAT.
