Thanks! I do keep an eye out at Walmart and a few other places in town that randomly get plates, and then they disappear for a few weeks. You’re right the shipping is what gets a guy. I really would like to find a pair of 100 lbers locally or just pull the trigger on a set of rogue deep dish. The badass factor is fun as well

I take it other places aren’t like California in terms of used equipment prices. The market is awash right now and prices are quite cheap. Yesterday, sold a pair of new 10 lbs crumb rubber bumpers and 4x5 lbs used plates for just $45. That’s all the market would bear. I wish I needed more equipment, lol — or that I could accommodate more in my limited space. I did get the Swiss bar though — but not that sick Cadillac bar!

Best market for used is Facebook Marketplace. Even with shipping it’s still really cheap sometimes. Worth a look.

I’m still trying to find a nice, $100 competition bench. Got a really nice Cybex adjustable, but it’s not very grippy for flat bench.

You’re probably right, but I get everything cheap (plates were $10, bumpers $20) and I have an abundance, so I just wanted to get rid of it. Not worth irritating the wife over getting another $20, if you know what I mean. Plus it was a cute, young chick just getting into competitive lifting, so I was glad to help her out.

Set up hi bar just to feel it out (bar only) and not ready yet. Too much intensity between scaps with bar weight, then my arm position just screams no. Decided to give zerchers a try, pain free but not taking it past 175 today. That is the current ceiling without creating regression.

I actually need to put a few implements I have up for sale. I have a Titan push sled that never sees use and takes up a large area in my garage. Probably wait a little bit to see if there is another lock down then try to sell it.

good to see someone doing zerchers. One of those I know I should do but I ain’t programming them for myself as I fcuking hate it 😂

They are an effective way to wake the fahk up in the morning! Wish I could have taken the weight higher but I was starting to feel a little “niggle” in my rehabbing area so left it there. Full zercher dead’s from the floor are a favorite circus trick in my book. Not happening any time soon though
 
I'm having a hard time sourcing it over here. Pretty sure I've got a bit of gyno from my teenage yrs, would love to run a course of ralox to see if it could knock it out. Not a definitely reduces it but only temporarily.

It’s hard to get here in the states. It’s hard to get from India. When you do find it everyone wants to charge you a bunch for 30mg baby servings.

Great compound; horseshit market for it.

I intend to tune up the zercher skwaats as well, within my current and progressive capacity. I figure this will feed my hunger that has been impacted without being able to deadlift or squat since injured. Let’s. Fahking. Go.

Haven’t pressed anything over my head in forever. Felt good to get some blood flowing again.

First time with a bar on my back in a month. Progress. Transformer feels reeeeeeeeal nice Clark.
 
455 pounds total weight for home gym now. Got enough to beat my bench PR by 10 lbs. if I can fit all those change plates on the sleeves

Had a quick little bicep blaster this morning to get a sick fahking pump before my meetings. Looks like I will have my coach as a training partner again in a few days so I’ll have a spot for bench. That’s when I will begin my hybrid conjugate approach and start focusing on the pec push. Amped to bench heavy again, I miss my old friend.

How did you manage that?

Soak that crap in wet salt and cure it so you put it back to work sooner! Will dry and callous that freshly exposed skin with a quickness. Brutal stinging when doing but worth it.

Someone conveniently broke a glass and there was a shard in an inconvenient place. I run mach 10 when I’m behind the bar and found it with great force. It’s a good one. Going to commercial gym tomorrow for…. Machine stuff? Pissed off, I wanted to bench. I guess I could but I will bleed everywhere like a stuck pig and probably be 86’d lol

I dumped salt on it, let it sit for a while, then flushed with heavily salted water. Burns so good.
