Thanks! I do keep an eye out at Walmart and a few other places in town that randomly get plates, and then they disappear for a few weeks. You’re right the shipping is what gets a guy. I really would like to find a pair of 100 lbers locally or just pull the trigger on a set of rogue deep dish. The badass factor is fun as well![]()

I take it other places aren’t like California in terms of used equipment prices. The market is awash right now and prices are quite cheap. Yesterday, sold a pair of new 10 lbs crumb rubber bumpers and 4x5 lbs used plates for just $45. That’s all the market would bear. I wish I needed more equipment, lol — or that I could accommodate more in my limited space. I did get the Swiss bar though — but not that sick Cadillac bar!
Best market for used is Facebook Marketplace. Even with shipping it’s still really cheap sometimes. Worth a look.
I’m still trying to find a nice, $100 competition bench. Got a really nice Cybex adjustable, but it’s not very grippy for flat bench.

You’re probably right, but I get everything cheap (plates were $10, bumpers $20) and I have an abundance, so I just wanted to get rid of it. Not worth irritating the wife over getting another $20, if you know what I mean. Plus it was a cute, young chick just getting into competitive lifting, so I was glad to help her out.
I was going to say if you need weights check Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist. You can find 50-70C per lb on occasion. Well probably higher now with COVID...
I actually need to put a few implements I have up for sale. I have a Titan push sled that never sees use and takes up a large area in my garage. Probably wait a little bit to see if there is another lock down then try to sell it.

Set up hi bar just to feel it out (bar only) and not ready yet. Too much intensity between scaps with bar weight, then my arm position just screams no. Decided to give zerchers a try, pain free but not taking it past 175 today. That is the current ceiling without creating regression.

It’s hard to get here in the states. It’s hard to get from India. When you do find it everyone wants to charge you a bunch for 30mg baby servings.

I have decided to chase a new bench PR due to my current circumstances. Very soon I will adjust to a mildly conjugate bench only (mostly) format. I intend to tune up the zercher skwaats as well, within my current and progressive capacity. I figure this will feed my hunger that has been impacted without being able to deadlift or squat since injured. Let’s. Fahking. Go.

Amped to bench heavy again, I miss my old friend.
How did you manage that?
Soak that crap in wet salt and cure it so you put it back to work sooner! Will dry and callous that freshly exposed skin with a quickness. Brutal stinging when doing but worth it.
