Silver is taking TKD to the next level with TestoPRO (Thx Anabolic Innovations)

Your muscles will have a nice fullness to them from this. The alpha-male feeling should also come into play. Go by the mirror bubba. The scale doesn't know the difference between 200 lbs of fat or 200 lbs of muscle!!

Yes I trust the mirror myself to judge.

Day 8 of TestoPRO (Day 12 of TKD):

Day 1 weight: 204.5
Day 8 weight: 195.5 (Down 9lbs FTW)

Yesterday's Food:

Breakfast - Only a 50g protein shake as I was not really hungry this morn.
Lunch - Pot roast with green beans and a little corn
Snack - a chunk of monterry jack cheese and a low carb yogurt later
Dinner - smoked sausage and a small pork chop with green beans.
Also a protein shakes after dinner

Workout (Back and Biceps):

Hammer Stength Shoulder Press - 70 per side x 10, 95 x 10, 95 x 10
Hammer Strength Shrugs - 4 plates x 10, 3 sets of 6 plates x 10
Front Raises - 20 x 10, 25 x 10
Side Raises - 22.5 x 10, 25 x 10
Upright Rows - 2 sets of 65 x 10

Also hit 35 minutes of cardio for good measure.

Thoughs:

Strength - I feel like the strength is starting to kick in. If it is not, the alpha male feeling is starting to kick in which tells my brain to quit being a b1tch and lift heavy. Then my brain tells my muscles Lets get it on. I am really looking forward to next week's set of workouts. I will be adding some weight and I will get it done.
Libido - I hope you guys understand that I am not trying to over hype this product. However, I was in a fairly bad place libido wise less than 2 weeks ago. While I wasn't experiencing ED, I was not getting morning wood and I could not drive nails with my erection as before. That has changed this week. I think I have woke up with morning wood for the last 4+ days and when it is time for some action little Silver is standing at attention saying put me in coach I can play.
Body Composition Changes - I plant to take/post updated photos tomorrow. I think some of you will see the significant progress I have made in the last few months. As I stated earlier, all my muscles feel fuller and more tight than before. Hopefully it is a combo of the fat loss and TestoPRO.
Sides - I am honestly looking for some bad things to point out because so far it has seemed all positive. I am not experiencing any negative sides at this time.

I really appreciate all the comment, support and feedback as I go along. I know some of my food choices might not be perfect, but they should be low carb and I am fairly sure I am sticking to my goal of less than 60 carbs per day. I might buy some ketostix this weekend so I can verify I am in ketosis, but I honestly can't imagine that I wouldn't be with my food intake.

Dood lookn thick...def an increase in size since your last pics. nice work!

Thx bro. I felt like my last cycle gave me a pretty good base to work with. Now I am going to strip all the excess fat off to see what I have left. I am committed to getting it done this time rather than just yoyoing up and down.

keep up the good work....

Thx for subbing. I will be busting my a$$ and sticking to the diet for sure until Thanksgiving. I will probably allow myself to cheat on that day because I have to eat some of my mom's sweet potatoes and all the goodies.

sweet potatoes are good for you fool!!! Stick with it man! You have a lot of smart folk here to help you along the way. Stay strong

looking good Silver. What kind of cardio are you doing and how often? If you are repeating yourself by telling me this, I apologize.

If you can muster up the energy (lord knows I have trouble with it), wake up 45 minutes earlier than you "need to" and kill a half hour of cardio fasted with maybe some BCAAs. Get that furnace burning early in the day! I know AZ does this with his bike rides, and he is pretty ripped for an old man. ;) Just playin' AZ.

You are looking thick, arms look good, tricep is pretty full and has good definition and shape. Front delts have come WAY up as with your traps. Time to work on that medial and rear deltiod. Try out some rear delt cable crosses (at least that's what I call them) where you grab the opposing cable (right arm grabs left cable, and vice versa) and pull the cables away from each other by squeezing the rhomboids and rear delts. These are really tough, I use about 30-40 lbs and am working my ass off. Reverse pec dec is great too esp. superset with some bent bb rows. As for the medial delts, make sure than when you are doing your upright rows and db lateral raises, that you are activating the medial delt, and not letting the weight come slightly (and it only takes a bit) forward and letting the strong front deltoids take over the exercise. Shoulders are one area that need to be "shaped" with light weight to have a full and even look. Big miltitary presses can leave people lopsided if they don't put effort into shaping the muscle as well.

Also, try a barbell circuit for some extra cardio, or to get your heartrate up before you do your cardio. It works like a charm for me... I do something like take a bb with 25's on it (95lbs) and without stopping or putting the bar down, go through this circuit of exercises for sets of 8, 6, 6, 4 reps; with one minute rests between the circuits.

SDL
BB row
BB Clean
Front Squat
Miltiary press
Back Squat.

My heartrate is usually at the level it needs to be about 10-15 minutes into my cardio when I am done, and it takes about 10 minutes to complete the circuit if you bust your ass. I am usually sweating like crazy and dreading the cardio, but it is almost easier to get into it for me, as I am already ready to do the work with my breathing and heartrate. It has made a pretty big difference in not only my cardio, but my overall endurance with weights in the gym... which is a huge factor with my DC workout.

No worries G! This old man appreciates it. You are turning that corner Silver to where the amount of muscle mass you are carrying just burns calories for you. Keep slamming the steel and you will have it covered. I always hammer my ABs before my weights to get one helluva good sweat going and the heart rate rocking. Fasted cardio is also fabulous for burning fat...not without aminos during though.

Thx for the advice G. You are and have been a huge asset on my quest. My cardio has not been as regular as I would prefer due to kid's sports committments. I work out at lunch on Mon and Wed. I was doing cardio after work on Tuesday, but that has been on hold for a bit. I have been able to stick with my 30+ minutes of cardio on Thursday. I also hit cardio on Saturday.

I have a treadmill at the house, but I much prefer the elliptical. I think I should stop being a b1tch and go ahead and start using it. Fasted cardio does seem like a good way to go and I might have to give it a shot in the very near future.

Also, thx for the advice on the shoulders. I feel like my arms are big, but have very little definition unless I am flexing. I think a lot of that is due to lack of development in my shoulders (plus a little extra bodyfat that I carry on my arms). I really hope this diet takes care of the bodyfat portion and hopefully your suggestions will take care of the rest.

I really do need to work my abs more than I do. You have a great point about the additional muscle burning more calories for me. You have acheived amazing things yourself and have provided a model to use.

Not the way my mom makes them. They are basically a dessert with all the extra goodies she adds to them. :-)

I agree with you on all the help. I could not have changed my life without the advice I have received from this site.

Yo Silver, wake up early and just do some walking on the treadmill for at least 30 minutes. Cardio is cardio. Ronnie and Cutler walk on the treadmill for an hour or more.

Forgot to check the pics...

Chest is looking fuller. Got those pectorals forming out. Nice arms, tri's. Looking thick brosef! The stomach is def getting smaller too. Your obliques should be showing through soon and your abs are not that far off. The last part would be the lower abs but the diet should take care of that.

In prevention of further back injuries and overall stronger core you need to do more ab work. Crunches and situps won't give you that six pack but it strengthens the hell out of your core. I've trained a couple of past clients with back injuries such as yours and had them back to their pre injury strength and then some. Diet shreds you out, cardio helps and iron gets you hard!!!!! (homo of course)

^^^X2 on the AB work recovery for the back. You would not want to see my X-rays of my L5/S1. The AB dedication has me functioning at almost 100%.

If typical cardio is tough to bring yourself to do, do what PR said, and do it first thing in the morning. Get it out of the way. Then have the rest of the day to not do cardio... ya know.

If you want an extra burn on the calories, I suggest trying the BB circuit routine on your off days, or after your workout. It only takes an extra 10-15 minutes.

I go early morning on off days. It really gets the day off to a great start. Put in an hour ride, shower and drink a protein(no carbs) shake, out the door for work and the metabolism is rocking. That next meal will be the best thing you ever ate.

I can definitely see progress in those pic, keep up the great work!! HIIT cardio works best for me, plus, it's not as boring as steady state for me to get into.

Keep it up bro! always good to be getting something out of others' progress:D

Looks like the hard work is paying off. Keep it up.

Thanks guys for the feedback. I am starting to feel like I fit in around this place with all the guys that are strong as an ox and built like mack trucks. I just hope this diet works as I am hoping. I just know I will have to start adding more cardio to the mix.

Day 10 of TestoPRO (Day 14 of TKD):

Day 1 weight: 204.5
Day 8 weight: 195.5 (Down 9lbs FTW)

Yesterday's Food:

Breakfast - 2 scambled eggs with cheese and ham and 3 slices of bacon.
Lunch - 2 cans of tuna mixed with lite may and relish on a low carb wrap.
Snack - chunk of monterrey jack and a low carb yogurt. I also had 2 california rolls even though I know I should have avoided them.
Dinner -ground taco meat with squash and a small spoonful refied beans
Also 2 protein shakes

Workout (Leg Day):

Friday my sciatica was really acting up and I didn't want to push it with heavy squats. I still feel pretty good with the leg routine and I am plenty sore today.

Hack Sqat Machine - 2 plates x 10, 4 plates x 10, 4 - 45s + 2 - 25s x 10
Seated Calf raises - 90 x 10, 115 x 10, 115 x 10
Legg Press - 6 plates x 10, 8 plates x 10, 10 plates x 10, 12 plates x 8
Calf raises on the leg press machine - 6 plates x 10, 8 plates x 10, 10 plates x 10
Lying hamstring curls - 130 x 10, 150 x 10, 150 x 10

Also hit 34 minutes of cardio on the elliptical.

Thoughs:

Strength - Although my back was acting up I was determined to lift heavy and do everything I could. Hack Squats are easier on my back than normal squats. I also hit a PR on leg press with the 12 plates. Something kept telling me more plates because you aint done yet.
Libido - Same story. I will really be testing this aspect over the weekend. ;-)
Body Composition Changes - Still a work in progress, but I still experiencing the fullness and tightness in my muscles.
Sides - Not sure if it is TestoPRO (doubtful), SlimX (most likely) or the diet change, but my wife has been complaining about my bad breath. I am pretty sure it is the SlimX due to the dry mouth I have been experiencing.

I will update my weight tomorrow, but it definitely looks like it will be higher than last week.

High protein diets will contribute to bad breath, gets worse once you get into ketosis, form my understanding, and some personal experience.

It has probably been 4+ years since I last ran it for a long enough time to get in ketosis. I don't remember the bad breath, but I do remember a little more B.O. after a month or so.

Nice work man! 10 pounds already:cheers:

Watch the lower back with the squats, I threw out my back this morning doing atg squats this morning. Im done with squats. Keep up the good work.

ah man my breath has been HORRIBLE lately because of this!

Sorry for being Late home slice! So trying out the TKD diet huh? nice to see you down in weight;) So based on your weight you should be at around 65grams a day give or take a little.. are these split up pre and post work out?

I hate to agree with the Cardio with the others but I do ...man, bottom line get your A$$ out of bed early when the kids are sleeping, (screw the treadmill and eliptical, its easy to stop and get off), get out and run..then walk , then run...ect..ect

Glad you subbed. I actually tried avoiding carbs as much as possible and think I have averaged less than 50g total every day. I have not really started TKD yet as I wanted to ensure I got into Ketosis. Next week I will start adding a few carbs around workout, but for the most part I will try to avoid them as much as possible.

The last 2 weeks my carbs have come from skim milk, green beans, squash, occasional low carb wrap, and sometimes a small serving of corn.

I obviously have to be a little more strict since this week has not shown the same kind of weight loss as the week before.

The only thing is you'll work so hard to put your body in Ketosis, and one bad day will throw you out of it.... I wasnt a fan of the CKD..I went more towards the TKD...;)

Quick question about the carb count. Based on the Atkins diet you take carbs - Fiber to get the total net carbs. I have been kind of using that model which is why I will occasionally have a wrap (16g carbs - 12g fiber for a total of 4g of Net Carbs).

That sound right for TKD as well?

For a TKD as long as your not overing doing it...Im not sure the whole Akins thing, to be honest I never looked at it that hard..For the TKD, I think Fiber is counted.. I would count it though, but maybe im wrong..

Edit: I always got my carbs from pasta source which only has 1-2g of fiber..

^^^ That is when I tried the TKD..when I went CKD..my carbs were from protein shakes only.., food was nothing but chicken and beef.. which had a 0 count

Damn LG...where do you get your protein from?? jk

That sucks about the back. I am starting to think that a sore back and sciatica is going to be a way of life now. It really sucks because I read about others throwing up crazy dead lift & squat numbers and knowing I could get close if my back didn't hurt.

Damn, I have no idea how you guys eat such little carbs and still function. I have NO desire to ever try TKD or CKD.

Thats what G-bawlz is for :D

Day 11 of TestoPRO (Day 15 of TKD):

Day 1 weight: 204.5
Day 8 weight: 195.5 (Down 9lbs FTW)
Day 15 weight: 196.5 (Not sure why the weight gain this week, but staying the course)

Yesterday's Food:

Breakfast - 2 scambled eggs with cheese and ham.
Lunch - Natty peanut butter on a low carb wrap.
Snack - couple handfuls of mixed nuts
Dinner - rotisserie chicken breast on a big salad with cheese, blue cheese, bacon bits and lite ranch.
Also 2 protein shakes

Workout (Off day):

I planned to get some cardio in, but the kid was sick and then I started watching football. I needed the off days because my legs were extremely sore from Saturday's leg workout.

Thoughts:

Strength - More to come tomorrow. I have been very happy with the stamina in the gym from this product. All of my workout have been pretty intense, but I have been able to keep giving max effort set after set.
Libido - My wife sends a shout out to AI for TestoPRO.
Body Composition Changes - Belly is still shrinking slowly and the definition is coming around.
Sides - No negatives to report.

I can really see this product becoming a staple product of mine if it continues to have the same effect as time goes on. I think so far it has helped me keep my strength during the cut (it is a cut for me) and actually strength has gone up on some lifts compared to where I was prior to the start. If I am able to hit my goal of 20+lbs dropped and not suffer some noticable strength declines I will be very satified.
